Chapter 54 - Is Love That?

After dinner, the Doctor and the Sisters check on Ethan again and change his bandages in Ethan's body.

"Can you sit down, Mr Mayer? I have to change the bandage on your back" said the doctor.

Ethan just nodded slowly.

Perhaps, many people were injured like Ethan and they could only lie in bed for a few days. But not with Ethan.

"You can really sit? Or you can just tilt, Mr. Mayer," said the doctor, who felt sorry that Ethan still looked weak.

But as usual, Ethan never listens to anyone. The man tried to sit down and the Doctor helped him.

"Do you feel dizzy?" ask the doctor while opening Ethan's bandage carefully.

"Little bit" replied Ethan briefly.

"Alright, you better get some rest. Not only your physical but also your mind, don't think too much of anything. It could be dangerous for your health."

Ethan refuses to respond, even as if he did not hear the wise advice of the Doctor.

Meanwhile, Louisa again intends to meet Ethan to talk to the man. At least for the last time, because after this Louisa was determined to forget everything.

"Do you want Mommy to accompany you, Lou?" Lady Agatha offered herself but Louisa shook her head.

"Mom, I have a secret" Louisa said with a faint smile.

"Oh yeah? Is my daughter old enough to have a secret?" kekeh Madame Agatha to comfort herself and Louisa.

"I love Ethan."

"Oh, what's the secret sa__?"

Suddenly the look on Madame Agatha's face changed, her eyes wide open as soon as her mouth.

He had not yet asked what Louisa meant, his daughter had already rushed out of the room.

"Lou?" call her but Louisa refuses to answer.

The girl rushed to Ethan's nursery and as usual, she entered without knocking.

The doctor and the Sister who had just treated Ethan's wounds turned their heads because someone had just walked in, while Ethan who thought maybe Peter or the others was reluctant to turn his head.

Louisa stepped in after slightly throwing a friendly smile at the Doctor and Sister who seemed to be surprised by Louisa's presence.

"What's up, Peter?" ethan asked without looking.

Louisa had opened her mouth to make a sound but suddenly she was speechless to see the tattoo bearing her nickname on Ethan's shoulder.

Louisa was stunned, feeling disbelief at what she saw.

When she felt the touch of Louisa's little hand, Ethan frowned and turned his head.

"Lou?" ethan's mumbling. "What are you doing here?" tanyakanya.

However, Louisa was silent. He looked into Ethan's eyes deeply.

"Go when you're done" Ethan told his doctor.

"It's over, Mr. Mayer," said the doctor. "I'm sorry."

After the two men left, Ethan immediately changed his sitting position until now facing Louisa who was still standing.

"Do you need anything, Miss Rae?" ethan asked trying to be calm despite the fact that the man's heart was beating very fast and his chest was pounding.

"You__" Suddenly Louisa is at a loss for words, she forgets her intention to meet Ethan. All he had in mind right now was why could his name be on Ethan's shoulders?

"Tell me if you need anything" said Ethan.

"Why do you want me to go?" The question just slid from Louisa's lips, even more that sounded like a protest to Ethan.

"It would be very dangerous if you were here, Miss Rae," replied Ethan. "Roberto's death was not the end of this conflict, but the beginning of a real war."

"But I have nothing to do with them" Louisa later said.

"I know, but the thing is they think you have a relationship with me. So they'll definitely get you involved in this conflict." Evidently.

"I still don't understand why I got involved, when you approached us just for revenge. Then why are they targeting us now as if we are the most valuable to you?"

Ethan can only throw his gaze away when he hears Louisa's question, he doesn't know how to explain it to the girl.

"If you've had dinner, you'd better get some sleep." Ethan shifted the subject while Louisa who realized it was stalling a faint smile.

"I deserve to know what happened, even my father lost his life here" Louisa said.

"They think you're my girlfriend" said Ethan, eventually leaving Louisa wide-eyed.

"How could they have such thoughts?" ask her with her eyebrows linked.

"Because I didn't kill both of your parents" Ethan replied. "And I helped you when you were almost harassed. They read my attitude as something else."

"What else?" Louisa lures Ethan because he thinks and feels Ethan's feelings for her.

"Love," said Ethan.

"Is there really love?" louisa asked again and suddenly Ethan chuckled while shaking his head.

"Then why is my name on the back of your shoulder?"
