Chapter 8: Persuading Karen
"Darling, you're home?" Karen greeted Darren sweetly. She even took her husband's briefcase. "Thank you a lot, yeah, took care of me all night. I love you more and more" he said back with sparkling eyes.
"No papa. That's my job" Darren replied.
Darren certainly knows very well, Karen's sweet attitude is just acting to make Valen's mom not scold Darren for the work of Oma Belle. This trick worked! Watching her daughter's romance, Valen's mother becomes deeply moved.
"Just mami doain hope your household is adem ayem, lasting until grandparents," said Valen's mother who looked happy. However, a second later he even rectified his words. "uh, not grandparents, deh. This time, it was Darren's turn to put the body up for his wife. "Oma, I'm actually not ready to have children. Getting married and having children are two different things. Although I am financially able, but our psychic is not ready. So he asked Darren to let them choose childfree¹. Because, she is not ready with the changes of her body when pregnant later. Not only that, he was also afraid when he had children he could not be free and do his habits like when he was single.
However, he really did not expect the reason that Darren made just like that. Instead of being as selfish as he was, Darren instead thought wise and mature.
Because of the incident tonight, Oma Belle decided to go home. To be honest, Karen still felt bad for Oma because of her mother's attitude.

Karen and Darren return to the room. For a moment, their views intertwined. Darren moved slowly towards his wife. He locked Karen's eyeballs that were moving in an uncertain direction. Of course this makes the view of Karen become unable to turn away, as if getting a strong magnetic field pull.
Karen's heart immediately exploded in there, when Darren was already in front of her with a faint smile. The slender-mouthed man now lifted his wife's chin gently, then began to move slowly to his face.
Understanding what Darren was about to do, Karen began to close her eyes. However, as soon as his eyes closed, he recalled the moment when he accidentally saw the man with another girl in the campus corridor. Suddenly, he immediately turned to avoid Darren.
Darren was surprised. Though almost his lips successfully landed on Karen's lips. Not giving up, he instead wrapped the woman who had a high chin with a warm embrace.
Karen is again yelled at. Darren's treatment always weakens her faith. However, recalling Darren's togetherness with the other girl, made him become uncontrollable instantly.
Darren's forehead forms smooth folds instantly. "Huh? You mean what?"
"I don't pretend to be stupid. Professor is acting stupid. Not good!" Karen still shows her upset look like mothers who have run out of cooking oil stock.
Quiet for a while while trying to solve the mystery of the crab Karen suddenly, Darren finally understood what the woman meant. He held back a laugh while clenching his hands in front of his mouth.
"Oh, so you see, huh?" asked Darren who was trying to peek at Karen's current expression.
"Yes, look! I have eyes!" sambar Karen while glaring.
Daren chuckled at Karen's behavior like that. "He's a teaching assistant. Yesterday when we passed, I saw that he almost fell down with dizziness. So, I'll help her and take her to the UKS room. Masa' I just so lying on the floor. Wicked dong me!" darren explained the chronology yesterday. To be honest, she was very happy that Karen was showing jealousy.
Karen was speechless, but her eyeballs moved timidly glancing at Darren who was standing beside her. The man immediately twisted his wife's body, then fixedly looked at her.
"Trust me, will you?" said the man with one hand on his shoulder, the other stroking Karen's shoulder-length hair.
Karen ventured to look at Darren's pair of sharp neutrals, then gave a small nod. A red gush spread across his face as the man's gaze softened. He tried to dampen the pounding on his chest, afraid that his heart would misinterpret the man's gaze. Because, until now Darren has never told him something that smells romantic. Even so, he knows himself enough because their marriage is not based on love.
A sincere smile was still on each of their faces. In the next second, Darren advanced his face slowly, slightly opening his lips preparing to devour his female lips. Karen welcomed the warm kiss with her eyes closed. The union of the two lips was truly intoxicating. Their noses rubbed together as the lips of the two gulped at each other.
They were drowning in that hot kiss. There was a feeling of longing and a need that wanted to be met immediately churned in their souls. Darren led Karen towards the bed while unbuttoning his camera nimbly. Her lips continued to move actively on her lips without any intention of letting go. His eyes were reluctant to leave Karen's face, as if unwilling to lose every expression that the girl before him made.
Karen lay down on the bed. She stared at her perfectly sculpted husband's body. Next, the couple let go of each other's desires in their warm bed. The night that had just spewed out a speck of rain, seemed to be the music that accompanied their union.
