SIN (Lecturer Dear)
Chapter 7: Mami Valen

For some reason, a drop of crystal slid from the corner of his eye as he reopened his memories during the precarious times of his family's company. His mother's grandmother owned many companies. One of the subsidiaries of the company engaged in cosmetics is managed by Karen's father. However, a month ago the company was on the verge of bankruptcy. As a result of the carelessness of his father, a product that was produced massively and issued large funds, failed miserably in the market.

The circumstances made his father and mother almost divorced because his mother continued to blame his father. Not wanting the historic company to go bankrupt, Karen's grandmother asked Oma Darren for help. It was a business marriage between Karen and Darren.

Darren just got back from college. Seeing the entire deserted residence made him guess if Karen and Oma Belle had fallen asleep. His eyes were fixed on a glass on the table. He smelled the pungent scent of the liquid left in the glass. He could guess that it was a traditional potion.

Darren went into the room. It turns out Karen hasn't fallen asleep because she's still holding back the pain in her stomach. Seeing that the woman was not chatty as usual, plus her expression was like she was holding back pain, Darren approached her.

"Why you?"

Karen did not answer. Even turning his back to Darren while holding back a groan of pain. However, he suddenly flinched when Darren groped his forehead gently.

"You sick? How to sweat cold?

Karen just shook her head while staring at Darren with a gamang.

"I'll get you some warm water, okay?"

When Darren was about to move, Karen held her hand. "You don't have to go anywhere. Just stay with me!" pinta the woman.

Darren was stunned, then nodded small. After changing clothes, she lay down next to Karen who was behind her. Instead Karen tried to close her eyes even though her stomach was still throbbing pain. Suddenly he felt a soft touch in his stomach. It was Darren's hand. His burly, warm palm began to gently massage his wife's stomach in a circular motion.

As Karen looked back, her neutrals instantly caught the shady face of her husband who was smiling gently at her.

"If you think you're still sick, don't you?" ask her while continuing to gently massage.

Karen shakes. "Good buffet."

Darren raised Karen's head then placed it on his arm as a cushion. This position makes their bodies close. Being in Darren's cage, makes Karen feel calm. Moreover, the gentle touch of the man's palm on his stomach can minimize pain.

"Ren, don't soften me like gini, dong. That I could fall in love with you" Karen murmured inwardly. To be honest, he was afraid of having an unrequited sense of the man. A guy like Darren is too perfect for him.

I don't feel like time has come to pick up in the morning. The atmosphere of Jakarta looks bright, where the sky ventured to show the beautiful blue. Karen's standing at the airport pick-up.

Not far from him, he could see his mother who had just got off the plane, now walking like a catwalk model towards him. Mami Valen is a former model who is now an influential socialite in Jakarta who likes to collect branded goods. In addition, he is also known for his high fashion sense. The mother-of-one looked young despite having a twenty-year-old child. Even he and Karen look like sisters.

"Navigel ...."

"Mommy ...."

The mother and son both spread their hands as they approached each other. Both embrace to take off the miss. Naturally, Valen's mother chose to stay for a while in the USA when her husband's managed company almost went bankrupt. In other words, he did not attend the child's wedding.

"Karen, sorry mami. Mami really couldn't argue with your grandmother at that time." Mami Valen rubbed Karen's cheeks affectionately.

"No papa, Mi. Getting married young isn't bad, either."

"But you're lucky, you know, to be married to Darren. Yeah, well, at least if you have kids later, you could inherit your husband's IQ."

"Huuu .. mami, I don't want to have children. It's so great to hear about children." Karen suddenly bad mood, especially if you remember the traditional ingredients she drank last night so that it makes her nauseous until now.

Holding her son's hand, Valen's mother said, "Karen, ajakin mami to your house now, yes! Mami wants to see the place they provide for you. Worth, right? Mommy doesn't want you to live hard."

"But, Mi ...." Karen scratched her head. Instead of not taking her mother to her house, the problem is that Oma Belle is staying at her apartment. He is not ready to bring together two people who are different from this character.

Mami Valen continues to persuade Karen. Eventually, Karen takes Valen's mother to the apartment she lives in with Darren. Just entering, they were immediately greeted warmly by Oma Belle who also just happened to come.

"Oh, so this is, yes, Karen's mother? No less beautiful than Karen, huh?" praise Oma Belle.

"Oma also still looks young, you know." Mami Valen praised.

Actually, the two of them did not really praise each other. Yes, it can be said that it is just one of the pleasantries that are often used by Indonesians in general.

Oma Belle turned her eyes to Karen. "Kar, Oma just recommended, nih, ma friend of Oma." At this time, she was showing a pregnant medicine. "This is a Chinese herbal medicine. He said in the past the ingredients in this drug are often consumed by concubines so that the king can quickly get momongan," he explained.

"Yes, my gosh, another drug?" Karen's mind seemed to want to scream. The reason, the effect of the potion last night was still not gone until now, he had to take a new medicine.

"Yuk, drink first, yuk. Let you spit it out" said Oma Belle, excitedly as always. He even opened the medicine bottle, and thrust the red capsule into Karen's lips.

Looking at Karen's current expression, Valen's mother immediately said, "Oma, I think it's not old-fashioned, believe in drugs like that. Medical science is now growing more and more. Kok even gave Karen the drug products of the Baheula era. Yeah, it doesn't fit!"

An ominous tone of voice coming out from Valen's mama's mouth made Oma Belle react. "Well, why? Precisely the products of the past are proven efficacy."

"But we don't know the side effects. Mana knows it even makes a narrow brain like that!" Mami Valen began to let out a fiery mouth.

"It's not polite, yeah, you said it! If you don't remember your friend's son I've gagged your mouth!" Oma Belle suddenly ride apoplexy because of Valen's mom.

"Oh, Karen. Don't-don't every day you are pestered kayak gini," quipped Valen mami while showing a worried look at her son. "If kayak gini mending you stay with mami aja."

Karen was only able to face sour while struggling in the heart. "Aduh .. kok mami even provoked the emotions of Oma. It could end with me! Don't you dare, mom, please!"

(N: Don't you dare\= Don't Be Bad)

What Karen was worried about happened. Eve in the apartment seemed to be in the sauna because of the heated debate between Oma Belle and Valen's mother. Afraid that Oma Belle and Valen's mother are at odds, Karen pleads with her mother to keep her word.

Ten minutes passed, Darren had just returned home from college sooner than usual. Just getting out of the elevator, Darren was surprised to see a woman standing at the door of his apartment. Turns out it was Valen's mom who had just had a fight with Oma Belle.

Mami Valen who saw Darren's arrival immediately approached him. "You're Darren, the man who married my son?" her question is judes.

"Ah, Karen's mom, huh? Come on, come in, ma'am," said Darren kindly as he opened the door.

"No," he refused quickly while crossing.

Darren looked astonished.

"I'll tell you, yeah. I ngijinin Karen married you, not to fulfill all your Oma wishes" said Valen's mother with emphasis ala-in-law in soap opera.

From Valen's mother's words, Darren can immediately guess what happened. Shortly after, the apartment door opened along with Karen's head peeking out.
