Karen remained silent. Stiff. Can only duck. Looking at Darren's eyes that shimmered like a fireball already scared him first. The reason being, the man had never displayed such an expression before.
"You know that UTS scores in some of your courses are low? Instead of studying more vigorously, not doing unfinished tasks, even hedon-hedon to the nightclub continues to drink like a gini! Realize that you are not married anymore! Should not a wife go home drunk without her husband's knowledge?" attack Darren with his distinctive assertive style as a lecturer.
Karen is down. He's still huggling. However, his attitude like that instead made himself even more wrong in Darren's eyes.
"Short of wanting to be a lecturer assistant, but learning aja lazy, ngerjain tasks behind time, even relax kayak gini! Are you ashamed of low grades! If you don't graduate, what?" Darren's getting tougher on his wife.
After a long silence and receiving a fiery spray from her husband, Karen attacks her husband. "Why? Are you ashamed to have a wife like me? Are you ashamed that your wife is not as smart as your ex? Not a student who stands out? If I'm just embarrassing you, why marry me!"
Karen's reaction was like not to be blamed and refused to be advised, making Darren said in a tone that was no less fierce. "You are advised for good, instead of direct self-evaluation instead of acting like a gini! No one wants you to be like anyone! What I'm talking about is you, so don't get involved with anyone else! You are free to hang out with friends, but do not forget your duties as a student. And one more, bad habits that do not want clubbing and drunk fit still girls do not carry around until now!"
Darren's words are like hot lead coming into Karen's ears. Not only did it hurt his hearing, but his heart as well. She has just been subjected to violence and abuse, but must be faced with her husband's wrath again. To be honest, he was still shocked by what he had just experienced and intended to tell Darren. However, how did he tell of the incident, if Darren directly accused him of being nothing like this.
Karen stared at her husband full of her, with her trembling lips holding back tears. "You think I'm into clubbing? You think dugem is my lifestyle? Do you think I'm a drunkard?! Just because you know I just got home from the nightclub, you keep concluding like that? Do you know what I just went through?"
After saying, Karen immediately ran over and entered the dressing room. Lock yourself in there.
Darren was still in place after a heated debate broke out between them. He shuffled to the sofa, sitting leaning back to calm himself who had been ignited by emotions. It could be said, this became their first quarrel during the marriage. Stunned for a moment, he recalled the last sentence that came from the woman's mouth.
Darren immediately moved up and followed Karen into the room. From behind the door, he could hear the sound of a sobbing cry from the woman. He opened the door slowly and stepped inside. His eyes widened to see the woman packing her clothes into a suitcase.
"Where are you going?"
"You go home to my parents! Mending you look for a wife who is equal to you. Don't be the same as me being stupid, lazy, and a dugem hobby!" said Karen with a clear melt that burst from the corner of her eye.
Karen pulls her suitcase while passing Darren. However, the man directly held his wrist.
"Why are you cheeks?" darren asked so looking at the reddish marks on his wife's smooth face.
Karen remained silent. Scenes of coercion, harassment, attempted rape, and physical violence that occurred at the nightclub re-spin on his memory. The incident made him feel even more unworthy to be on Darren's side. He immediately took off Darren's hand that was holding his wrist.
