Karen then went to the college library. The place is not as crowded as usual, maybe because it has almost entered a rest period in general. There are only a handful of students who are looking for reference material for their thesis. Actually she wondered why her husband suddenly wanted to guide her to study in the library.
Karen circulated the gaze to every nitty-gritty of the library. Apparently, Darren hasn't arrived there yet. He then chose a row of seats in the corner of the room, where the position of the table was blocked with bookshelves and people would not see them unless deliberately approached. Sitting at the very end, he propped up his chin with eyes constantly on standby at the entrance of the library.
Five minutes later, the library door opened, followed by Darren stepping in. Karen immediately stood up while waving her hands excitedly. Unfortunately, he forgot that his seat position was blocked by the bookshelf.
Karen took the initiative to move positions so that Darren could see her. However, just standing up, his attention was suddenly diverted to the figure of Marsha who appeared behind Darren. Apparently, the two men came together. It can be seen when Darren looks back while talking casually with the woman who has become his ex-girlfriend. Not only that, they even went to a shelf containing a row of economic books.
Their togetherness, as if sprinkling fire in Karen's heart. Really, he can't tolerate this! Darren asks him to meet at the library, but the man instead comes with his ex-lover. It even seemed to forget the invitation he made himself. Not staying silent, Karen stalked the two by slipping between shelves, then peeking on the sidelines of books lined up irregularly.
His current position, made Karen only able to see Darren and Marsha from behind. In his monitor, the man and woman who had knit love did not talk to each other and were only busy looking at books one by one. So serious, their arms until they collide so that the scene creates a look at each other like in soap operas. However, it did not last long because there is no soundtrack song that accompanies the meeting of the eyes of the two. They refocus on looking for books.
Karen was still monitoring through the next shelf while also pretending to look for reading books. He picked up every book that blocked his view, until he had unknowingly held many books next to his hand. His eyeballs did not shift in the slightest, as if afraid to watch over the two. His nose was a kembis from earlier followed by a conical mouth gathered into one, becoming evidence of the absorption of his heart.
"Ah, that's it!" Marsha pointed to a book that was on the top shelf. He stood on his tiptoes when he wanted to pick up the book.
"Let me take it!" Darren volunteered to pick up the book.
Not yet exhausted, Karen instead had to go back to see Darren's sweet treatment of Marsha. His eyes grew increasingly giddy followed by a face that was flushed red like the top of a volcano that was ready to spew lava.
"Well, did I say, no, books are in the college library. I saw it a week ago." Marsha's eyes were fixed on the book Darren was holding.
"Thanks, yes! I've been looking around this book to check on the internet as well, but because the old issue so it's not sold anymore. This book is very suitable for Karen, to make it easier for her to learn the basics of accounting," said Darren semringah while opening each book sheet.
Karen gasped at once and was relieved. As it turns out, what Darren and Marsha do is look for a tutoring book for themselves. Hearing what her husband had just said, her heart was suddenly like butter in a hot frying pan. Melt down!
So moved, he dropped the pile of books he was holding. The books that fell caused a sound that was loud enough to make Darren and Marsha compact looking back. Fortunately, Karen immediately crouched down while covering her mouth.
"Oh, I almost forgot to go to class!" marsha said while looking at her watch.
"Yes, go first!"
"OKAY. I'm back, yeah!" Marsha immediately came out of the library. When he opened the door, he looked back at Darren. The man really thinks of him as a workmate. Even so, it felt enough for him than to have to accept the hatred for ever leaving him.
Meanwhile, Karen was still busy picking up the books scattered on the floor. However, his movements suddenly stopped when he realized there was a pair of eyes that were looking at him from the empty shelf gap. When he turned his head, he immediately looked at the owner of the eye that turned out to be Darren. Yes, the man also crouched down with his head tilted.
"Basic of the hustler!" ketus Darren followed a small pull at the corner of his lips.
Shamed to be discovered, Karen immediately put four three books at once to close the small gap that appeared on her husband's face. He rushed to the bench he was sitting on.
Darren followed to the place. However, instead of sitting next to Karen, the man instead sat opposite her where they were bounded by a plywood bulkhead. This sitting position will make people assume they do not deal with each other.
Darren propped the book up and said, "Yes, we're just starting, okay?"
"Duh, why the hell learn it must be here if the model is like this!" Karen frowned while looking at Darren who was blocked by the plywood bulkhead.
"If you are at home, you have a lot of trouble. It was a job I just sent. Use the guide book! It's only fifteen minutes from now!" darren's orders.
Karen scratched her head as she opened every book. Twenty minutes later, he nudged the end of Darren's shoe while wagging his answer paper under the table. As if he understood, his hand was directly stretched out down to pick up the training sheet that had been filled by Karen. Apparently, under the table is their interaction today like old High School children who reciprocate messages or correspondence.
Darren stared at Karen's newly filled task sheet. He smiled faintly as he read the bottommost note written by his wife.
"Write the full love symbol if it is true, write the love symbol half if it is not appropriate and write the love symbol crack if wrong."
Darren corrects Karen's answer, then returns the sheet under the table. Karen was surprised to see that each answer only got a cracked love symbol, indicating that what she was doing was all wrong.
Upset, he took the blank paper, then scribbled the paper. He again nudged Darren's leg while shaking the paper under the table. Darren immediately took the paper. It turned out that Karen was drawing a male figure with a rogue face with horns attached to the head, as if to be mocked if it was her husband.
Darren wrote something behind the image and then returned the paper. "Quick revision of answers! If it's not all right, don't go product shooting!"
"Idih .. ngancam mode!" Karen snorts. "I don't think I need to go to college! I got married too, right!" Karen began to crumble with her lazy nature and easily gave up.
"Kartini cried when she heard these words of yours. It's free that she struggles to fight stereotypes that women don't have to pursue education!" ketus Darren, "not just this morning you said you want to study really and achieve the highest IP," he said back.
Karen took a rough breath, then muttered, "Why too, yes, I majored in accounting economics. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a doctor."
Darren laughed a little. "That's the goal of a million children. Unfortunately, the noble ideals were lost because his parents often brought the profession of doctor to their children."
"You mean?"
"There are two professions that are often scapegoated by most Indonesian parents. If not the doctor, yes the police," explained Darren, "later if you don't eat the doctor's injection, you know! Later if you are naughty arrested by the police, you know," he continued while mimicking the style of mother-and-mom's speech.
"Oma used to talk to you a lot too!" guess Karen.
Darren only smiled, then ordered Karen to immediately fix her task. Because, in two hours Chalvin will invite him to return to do a product ad shoot.
Karen began to do the task in earnest. He also listened well to every explanation from Darren. Apparently, he began to show little effort to change in order to be able to steady himself beside the man.
"From next month, you manage my salary. But, you have to manage and control expenses every month. Make a journal, record each transaction in detail and plotted how much per month our expenses. So you can learn to manage Household finances. Next week we have moved to the house, it reduces spending per month as well" said Darren who began to give full confidence to his wife to manage their Household finances. As a professor, he has a higher salary, as well as various types of benefits.
At the same time, Feril had gotten Chalvin's Instagram account while browsing the people Karen had followed. He also learned that she was a Brand Ambassador at the company where Chalvin worked.
Feril sent photos of Karen who was with two foreign men at the nightclub to Chalvin's Instagram account using a bodong account so as not to be identified.
"Racaine, lu! Get ready you fight with your guy!" throw it with the mouth flanking a cigarette, after successfully sending a photo via DM.
"Why don't you send it a photo in his company, let's make you ashamed! Moreover, the guy has a good position in the company. Surely the guy will leave him because it is more to keep his good name," said Farel who came to provoke his brother.
