SIN (Lecturer Dear)
Chapter 101: Presence of Marsha

Chalvin had to call Darren back. Just pressing the call button, Oma Belle instead asked the phone to talk directly to Darren.

"Here's the phone, let Oma do the talking!"

Just pasting the phone in the ear, a subtle sound from the operator's machine instead greeted and informed the number was off.

"Why the number isn't even active!" grunts Oma Belle.

Chalvin's cheeks puffed up as he held back a laugh.

"Keep, what about the color-couple lipstick project Karen once suggested?" ask Oma Belle.

"Again process, Oma. Next month we test the market first with a limited release."

"Well, how's the limited release?"

"That's a marketing strategy, Oma. Women will be weak in faith if they hear the word limited edition!" Chalvin plucked a finger while raising his forehead.

"Ah, you know the woman inside out the best!" praise Oma Belle.

It turns out that tonight all the lecturers of economics faculty are attending a dinner together at a traditional restaurant they have reserved. This dinner event is held every end of the semester to strengthen the friendship of fellow lecturers and also introduce each other to their families.

"Why hasn't professor Darren come yet, huh? Though I asked him to take his wife," asked the deputy dean.

"Let me call." Marsha hurriedly took her phone.

"Ah, Mr. Darren's permission. His wife suddenly went to the hospital. He called me this afternoon." added Mr. Budi Luhur.

"What pain does his wife have?" ask one of the women.

"I don't know. I think he is seriously ill, because he has permission for the next few days" replied Budi Luhur.

"All the values of students have also been sent," continued one of the economic caprodi.

The information from the dean of economics made the lecturers surprised. They wonder about his wife who is still mysterious until now. On the contrary, Marsha who was no less surprised, could not help but be curious to know what happened to Karen.

He went straight to the restroom just to call Darren. Unfortunately, the man she had been in a relationship with had still not activated the phone. Marsha rejoined the lecturers only to say goodbye to them.

"Sorry everyone, I have a family business that suddenly can not join," he said while picking up the bag in a hurry.

"Loh, so Miss Marsha doesn't eat with us?" One of the teachers chirped.

"Yes, here. Can't! I have to go home soon" replied Marsha.

After exiting the restaurant, he immediately slid into a hospital where Karen is currently being treated. Having dated Darren for many years, he was convinced that Karen was admitted to the Bratajaya Family Hospital.

Upon entering the Hospital building, his eyes accidentally caught a figure who had also just arrived there. It appears that a man wears a long-sleeved T-shirt whose arms are zigzagged.

"Thank you!" call Marsha to the man.

The man then looked towards him. "Marsha?"

"Hey, let's meet again!" Marsha approached Chalvin with a fluffy smile.

"Yes, here. Last two years ago, right, before you threw Darren!" tangent Chalvin who instantly made Marsha's face change, "oh, yes, why did you come here? Is there a sick family?" tanyanya while looking at the mini fruit parcel brought by the woman.

"A .. I was at the lecturers' dinner, but only Darren Doang did not come. He said it was because his wife was in the hospital. I called him unanswered. So, I came straight here, his wife was treated here. Go on, you yourself ...."

"Yes, I want to see his wife too. If so," take Chalvin.

Upon arriving at Karen's room, they find Karen alone without anyone accompanying her. Instead, Karen gasped at the presence of Marsha trailing behind Chalvin.

"Where is Darren? You are alone" asked Chalvin.

"Go home to get some change of clothes. I just got home, too, papi and mami" replied Karen, leaning back on the bed.

"Karen, what are you sick with?" Marsha approached, showing an attentive attitude while putting fruits on the nightstand.

Thinking that Marsha was really nice to her, Karen also told him about the tumor in her womb. Hearing that, then make Marsha surprised and remember something.

"So you have a tumor in your uterus? How exactly was his late mother Darren? The patient ... Karen. You are still very young. Hopefully not as bad as Darren's mother. And hopefully Darren can really accept your condition now. It must have been hard for him, who should have enjoyed the first year of marriage, but instead ...." Marsha did not continue her words. Deliberately making floating sentences.

Chalvin, who had chosen silence, began to frown at Marsha's speech.

"Maybe it's our marriage test. Every married couple has their own exam, right?" reply Karen who remembered Valen's mother's advice the other day.

"How did Oma Belle respond? Oma had anticipated that Darren would not follow in the footsteps of his married father again" continued Marsha with a julid tone.

"Marsha, shut your mouth up! Don't talk too much!" chalvin whispered while pulling Marsha out of Karen's nursery.

(Shut your mouth up: shut your mouth/can be silent)

"What do you mean by that cake in front of Karen?"

"No meaning whatsoever. I'm just worried about you."

Chalvin shook his head slowly. "You're not worried! You were on purpose, right?"

"I came here because I was worried about Darren. I'm just sorry, Darren hasn't been happier since he got married. And now, he's got to be busy with his wife's treatment like he's busy taking care of his mom, right?"

The door was not tightly closed, making the sound of their chatter quite clear in Karen's ears. He bowed lethargicly with busy hands rolling up the ends of the blankets. What Marsha said didn't make her angry at all, because the truth was like that. Darren had even taken an early leave of absence just to focus on accompanying him.

"You don't accept Darren marrying anyone else, do you?" Chalvin said cynically.

"I don't accept?" Marsha gave a frail smile while throwing her face away, "It could be yes! I will accept Darren marrying a woman who is better than me and living happily with her partner. Since marriage, he has been in trouble often! His world is now about his wife!"

Chalvin clucked in wonder. He pulls Marsha's hand so that it keeps the two away from the room.

"You don't have this empathy. You haven't changed, yes!"

"Know what you know about me!"

"Know much. Even more so than Darren. Did you forget I knew you better than Darren."

The second meeting, a little restore Chalvin's memory during school. He, Darren and Marsha are in the same school. Before, he and Marsha were very close. Even he had feelings for women who graduated from overseas masters. Unfortunately, it turns out that Marsha approached her in order to get close to the cold Darren towards women. On the day Chalvin was about to express his feelings, he was repulsed by the news of Darren and Marsha's relationship. Although broken, he also supports the relationship between the two.

"You always think any woman is your rival. You always thought they were no better than you" Chalvin said.

"It's natural, any woman must have a sense of competition with fellow women, even if only a fingernail," elak Marsha.

"Yes, right. I don't think, why do most women think that other women are their rivals? Whether feeling rivaled with his girlfriend's new lover, feeling rivaled with his girlfriend's ex-lover, feeling rivaled with friends or his own brother, there are even those who when they have become parents also feel rivaled with their own daughter-in-law. The attention and love of men is not an award! So, there should be no need to compete with each other," said Chalvin with a face holding back furious.

"Chalvin, Marsha, have you been here long?" Darren came walking towards them. The man's reprimand left the two shocked.
