Secretly Loving You's

Secretly Loving You's
Ch 58 - Misunderstanding

"Sha, how did you go home yesterday? I also did not reply. You why?"

"I'm just not feeling well, brother."

"Who's home? Your army boyfriend?" I nodded slowly. Brother Niar patted my shoulder. "Sha, your boyfriend is very handsome. Tell your girlfriend Sha, have a friend who is no longer single. I want to be known."

The conversation continued for a while. Brother Niar just let me go after I promised to ask him that question. Then I went to the second floor.

As soon as I sat back in the chair, the questions in my head did not stop circling. Why hasn't he come yet? Didn't he go to work?

Arsha! Stop thinking about him! Focus on your cooperation! Aren't you glad he didn't come?!

I was cursing myself because my stupid thoughts and feelings were still fixated on him. I try to focus on the work and get it done one by one.

As soon as the time showed at 09.47 WIB, the man came. I buried my head under the table to escape his attention. But for nothing, his eagle eyes knew of my whereabouts.

"Arsha, to the room" he said, pointing to his room. I wanted to stomp my feet while clawing at his back. But of course it's just in the dream. With gontai, I stepped into his room.

"Who did you go home with?"

"Fiancee."

Hearing my answer, Mr. Armand's jaw hardened. Eyes petrified. While his hand was clenched and the next second, the pen was broken in his hand.

"You're engaged?"

"Yes. I decided to accept his proposal." I could see the knuckles were white. "If there is nothing else to talk about, I am ...."

"I like you" he said again. Those eyes stared deeply. It was as if I was scraping through my deepest heart. I can't let my guard down. Can't falter. The man in front of me already had a pregnant wife. I can't be tempted by his appeal.

"I said yes, sir. I have to go to BI." I shuffled up.

"Sit down" he ordered in a low tone.

"If you still want to discuss personal matters, I go out first ...."

"Arsha, I like you. I love you." Recognition made in low voice. From the look in his eyes, I knew he wasn't lying. But that doesn't make me happy. Hearing her words just made my anger overflow. There's a blaze in my chest that I want to get out.

"Then why? What do you expect from me? Do I have to reply to her and say the same?! If I don't respond it means I don't have the same feeling!"

"Nature ...."

"Father is shameless. Dad is married! My wife is about to give birth! But you still express feelings for his men who already have a fiancee?! By forcing again. Where's ethics?!"

"Arsha, you misunderstood ...."

"Misunderstand what?!" I want to laugh hysterically at her words. "I think this conversation is enough to get here. Excuse me. Still going to BI." Finished saying that, I immediately ran towards the door and turned the knob as fast as possible so as not to get caught again like the incident already.

"Arsha!"

I managed to get out of that room. He could still hear, but I ignored him. I'm sure he wouldn't dare to chase. His credibility as a superior will also be questioned.

The stone head! What should make him realize? Misunderstand what he said?! Ahaha! Classic reason! All men will use that excuse to ensnare their victims! You heartless man. But at least I managed to get out my uneg-uneg though not all.

If I wasn't afraid to be arrested, I might spit out all these feelings. Took him for all the things he had done.

Being in Bank Indonesia and gathering with friends from other banks made my mind a little distracted. Well, even if it's not more than an hour.

At eleven, I returned to the office. Along the way, the feeling of annoyance came back. I can't imagine what he'll do when he sees me again.

Working by carrying around feelings like this makes it very unsettling. Will I be in this condition? Was my decision to stay in this place the right one?

In less than half an hour, the car was approaching the office area. From a distance of thirty meters, I could see a huge puff of smoke rising, while the employees were scattering out.

"Sir, what is it sir? How many employees are out?"

"It looks like a fire, Ma'am!"

"What's right, sir?!"

"Yes, Mother. Our office is on fire!"

"Really Sir?!"

"real Mbak! See that! The smoke is coming from our building. That's the kids on the out, Ma'am!" Mr. Driver pointed at the employees in red and grey uniforms. I recognize them as frontliners and marketers in my office.

"Sir, hurry!"

"Isn't it dangerous to approach Ma'am?"

"I want to make sure of something. Hurry Sir!" The driver drives the car to a safe distance. Park the car on the shoulder of the road.

I got out of the car in a hurry then ran towards the friends who were huddled in front of the building while staring at the smoke. Many people are crowding. Some document via cell phone, some are quite attentive by calling the fire department.

"Sir Niar!" The woman I called looked straight over. His face was filled with relief.

"Shaa! Thankfully you are not in Dalem! The fire on the 2nd floor, Sha! Close to your room." Close to my room means close to Mr. Armand's room!

I looked around to see the faces and passed them off one by one. Everyone is here, except that one guy. I don't see the face I'm looking for. My body feels light. Stomach acid rises, making me want to vomit while my head starts to get dizzy.

"P-pak A-armand d-where is Brother?"

"It looks like it's still on top. We don't know, Sha. We all panicked. So each of us saves ourselves without looking right-left. Maybe ...."

I didn't hear that explanation until it was over. My steps feel light. I even felt like I was flying. I ignored all the screaming. And broke through the building without a second thought.
