71 - Maldives

Early in the morning, Raya and Nev were already at the airport, they were going on a long trip to the Maldives/Maldives. Given that this is an International flight that takes a lot of time to check in and pass the inspection, so Nev and Raya decided to arrive at the airport two hours before their scheduled departure.

Meanwhile, the estimated travel time from Bali to the Maldives is 17 hours 45 minutes.

They arrived at Velana Airport, Male, the capital of the Maldives. The time was around 23:00 local time.

Exiting the airport, a row of boats welcomed many tourists. Each boat belongs to each resort in the Maldives. Also close to the exit, there are many booths/ferry that belong to each resort to welcome the arrival of its guests.

Maldives is an island nation with small islands specially prepared for resorts. Usually on one island can only be built one resort. So, the choice of resort is very much.

For the Resort occupied by Nev and Raya, it happened to have been prepared by the Grandmother as well, so they stayed in the Resort that had been booked. They will occupy Hurawalhi resort for the next five days.

Hurawalhi resort is located on a separate island north of Male. It is a short distance, about 50 minutes by sea plane from Male airport. In Hurawalhi room there is a choice of beach villa (on the beach) or water villa (above the sea). Nev and Raya choose a water villa so that when you wake up you can be directly close to the sea, (can be directly smelted if you want😁) Can hear the sound of waves under the mattress at any time.

Because Nev and Raya arrived in Male quite late and also tired, so for tonight they decided to stay at the nearest hotel in Male only, just to stay, then tomorrow they can go to the resort using sea plane or ferry. (So from the airport, everywhere does have to take a ferry or sea plane, yes there😍)

Male himself the capital that can be said is not big. A city that has a narrow road, may only fit one car. The shopping center is also minimal. As for if you want to shop, not in the Mall, there is no Mall there. There is only a Supermarket that is only as big as Alfami** in Indonesia (Language is thus deh😅)

Once at the Hotel, Nev and Raya literally fill their energy for tomorrow with sleep - perhaps they are also tired from the long commute and jetlag effect.

The next morning, Nev and Raya are picked up by booth/ferry to get to the Resort.

They enjoy a moment of togetherness by looking at the beautiful blue and white sandy beaches. In the Maldives also has a unique rainy climate, the rain in the Maldives is very short! The rainiest for 30 minutes keeps subsiding and the skies clear again!

This place is a paradise for sea lovers with white sand beaches, clear water and also beautiful blue sea.

Nev and Raya looked as lively as the view of the sea that was spread wide as there was no end to it.

"Nev, look there's dolphin..." It points towards some dolphins swimming freely.

Nev smiled and nodded at Raya's words, then he slipped Raya's hair behind her ear. "Have you been here?" tanyakanya.

Raya shook her head, "This is my first time," said Raya smiling slightly at Nev.

"Hmm," muttered Nev briefly, then he put on his sunglasses to banish the dazzling sunlight.

They are really late and enjoy the atmosphere of the beach. See thousands of fish, turtles and manta rays swimming freely.

There are some whales in the Maldives, but the animals that are easy to find are dolphins.

The resort also offers a dolphin feeding experience. So Raya and Nev didn't waste the opportunity.

Not to forget, Nev and Raya capture the moment with dolphins swimming in clear waters.

By noon they had lunch at the resort, all their needs during their stay at the resort had indeed been provided and they were accompanied by a butler who would serve their food, ranging from breakfast, lunch, and dinner, till dinner.

The second day Nev and Raya were in the Maldives, they used to snorkel.

Before leaving, they will be tested swimming first, then briefed and wearing snorkeling equipment. The speedboat then led them to the snorkeling spot.

There they snorkel while enjoying the underwater beauty. Coral reefs and colorful fish become a sight that spoils the eye. Not to forget, there are turtles that swim freely.

After snorkeling for about 1 hour, they returned to the dock Resort.

"How was today? You must be tired." said Nev as he opened his snorkeling equipment.

"I'm tired, but I'm happy, Nev. The pleasure made me tired so it was not felt," said Raya chuckling excitedly.

"Good, I'm afraid you're exhausted. Don't get sick" Nev stood up and ruffled Raya's hair.

Raya cleans up, then catches up with Nev who is already sitting on the Resort-like veranda thinking of something.

Raya approached her husband, holding his shoulder for a moment. "I wish you could open up to me if you had a problem" he said, sitting next to Nev.

Nev turned his head and looked at Raya intently. "I don't have a problem, honey, don't think about it" Nev said.

"We're newly married, but like I said, we should be open to each other, right? I see you daydream a lot since our last day in Bali .." said Raya again.

Nev smiled at a glance, "Don't think things through, it's just a matter of work."

"Not lying, is it?" tanya Raya raised her eyebrows next to her.

Nev chuckles but Raya's question is not answered.

They also only spend dusk by looking at the color of the water that turns golden with the sunset.

In the evening, they had dinner at an underwater restaurant. Hurawalhi resort that they occupy, has facilities in the form of an under water restaurant! How cool is that?

They also enjoy the underwater scenery while eating their own food.

Almost all food in the Maldives is Halal food because the original inhabitants are Muslims. Nev and Raya have never had trouble finding food there and it tastes pretty good on their tongues.

"Tomorrow what else?" tanya Raya on the sidelines of her eating activities.

"So we've been Snorkeling, what if tomorrow we're Diving?" proposal Nev.

"Alright, but don't blame me if coming home from my honeymoon my skin will change color," replied Raya chuckling.

"No problem, I'd like to see your blaster skin later" Nev said blinking one eye.

Raya just rolled her eyeballs, if it was like this, her husband would immediately go on mode with a chatty talk.

"Darling, this is the last time I ask you what kind of problem you're thinking about." Raya said suddenly.

Nev looked at Raya with a hard to interpret gaze.

"meaning?" ask Nev.

"If this time you don't want to open up to me, then don't blame me if you don't want to ask any more of your problems later," said Raya half-threatening.

Nev clumsily, he put down his tablespoon and scratched his temple which began to be moistened sweat points due to nervousness.

"When will you shut up? Let's be honest before I change my silence and don't want to ask you again" said Raya.

"But I really--"

"Nev, I'm not kidding, I can guess if you have a problem, come on, tell me what it is, even if it's about your job, I still want to know." said Raya, deliberately chewed his food in a sulking style.

"Alright, but don't make this a burden or a thought for you in the future" Nev said.

Raya nods, that means her guess is correct, if Nev has another problem now.

"Promise?" ask Nev to make sure.

"Promise," said Raya as she pulled Nev's hand and fused their little fingers together to link to each other.
