57 - First kiss

Nev spends his days working, trying to take his mind off the shadows of Raya's face.

In a way, Nev wants to appreciate Jimmy's efforts that will help him. So, he never undermined anyone to vent his circumstances.

Nev also wants to focus on some final hearings about his divorce proceedings.

When Nev felt anxious to see Raya, he would drive himself and drive across the woman's house without getting out of his car. He was simply watching the movements of the Kingdom from afar as a form of releasing his longing.

To be honest, Nev hated this kind of passive state a lot, but he couldn't do much given his unclear status.

Seizing the Kingdom that was already in the status of a fiancee of Reka, was not a problem for him. It's just, Nev would really do it if it could already give clarity to Raya. Unlike now, when the status of his widow has not been held.

Not once or twice Nev had to endure heartache, when coincidentally - seeing Reka who was also visiting the house of Raya. Nev also sees the interaction of the two that makes him want to get off the car immediately to block their closeness.

But, for now-it seems like Nev does have to hold back a lot, he decides the time is right to meet Raya again.

Until the moment Nev saw Raya sweeping the terrace, he couldn't ignore it somehow. With a quick movement, he got out of the car and walked slightly towards the small yard of the house.

Raya herself is not aware of Nev's steps behind her body because she is sweeping while listening to music using handsfree.

Nev patted Raya's shoulder and suddenly Raya looked back and jumped in shock.

"Gosh," said Raya holding her own chest.

Nev smiled a little. "Let's keep your word" Nev said.

"Promise? What promise?" tanya Raya, actually she was very very surprised by the sudden arrival of Nev and never expected at all like this.

"You forgot? You once promised to accompany me to eat every day, let's accompany me to this lunch. It feels like we haven't eaten together in a long time" Nev said as if everything was fine and as if forgetting the status of the Kingdom who is getting married.

"But..." Raya hesitates but she is speechless when Nev takes her hand for granted.

The broom that Raya still held was not separated from her hand.

"Take it with you" said Nev, not wanting to go back to the porch because they were already on the edge of an open fence.

With a bad taste, the broom was forced to join Nev's car.

"Sir, I haven't told Mama if I want to leave the house, I haven't changed clothes either" Raya said in protest.

"You called me again as Master?" Nev clucked his tongue and Raya realized his mistake this time.

"Eh, yes, that's sorry. Not used to it," said Raya to smile. He does not expect to see Nev again, he thinks he will not meet with Nev again after rejecting the man's love the other day. He thinks Nev will give up, in fact Nev showed up today, making his feelings all the more wrong.

Nev started to drive forward his car, a happy smile on his back from the corner of his lips, for whatever reason he did not expect to be able to do this recklessly to invite Raya away, though many days have passed that he wasted just to meet the Kingdom without interacting directly.

"Where do you know my home address?" ask Raya to Nev.

Nev smiled a little. "From Bian." she answered honestly.

"Dian? You asked him to find out where I am?"

"Hmmm," Nev just cleared his throat, not wanting to tell Raya that he had known the address of Raya for a long time even always stalking the habit of the woman.

"Where do we eat? My appearance is like this," Raya said referring to her appearance wearing only a t-shirt and sebetis toad pants.

"I don't care what you look like" said Nev, who remains focused on driving.

Raya only let out a long sigh, then stared at the street through the car window.

They arrived at a restaurant and sat at a table on one side of the room.

"Pick food for me," Nev gives Raya a menu book and Raya chuckles at Nev's always spoiled behavior if he wants to eat.

Turns out it hasn't changed...

Raya ordered rib soup, Mediterranean steam fish, and spicy chicken pepper as their lunch menu. Not to forget Raya ordered two fruit juices for the two of them.

"Thank you for having lunch with me" said Nev, looking at Raya's smiling face.

Raya nodded, this was one of the most enthusiastic days for him. Because since his match with Reka was sparked by the family, he had never felt again how a good day.

They started eating each other's food.

"What about your wedding?" chirps Nev.

"It was pushed back to three months" said Raya slowly.

"Oh yeah? Why not just cancel it?" nev to the point.

Raya could only smile wryly and try to shift her gaze. To be honest, he was lazy to discuss this.

Be quiet and down.

"Are you starting to like it?"

Raya shook her head and Nev smiled slightly.

"Raya, to be honest with me, do you want this marriage to be annulled?"

Raya nodded, "But I can't.." said Raya.

"Why? You just have to tell your parents that you don't want this wedding,"

"I'm afraid of disappointing them" replied Raya hoarsely.

Nev was silent for a moment, then he stroked the back of Raya's hand quietly.

"Everything you start with compulsion ends badly. You don't like it, anyway,"

"I don't want to discuss this," Raya said as she drank her juice.

Nev breathed a heavy sigh. Then looked at Raya closely.

"Look at me, Raya. I don't want you to have a marriage like that. I care about you,"

"Don't care about me, it's like this" said Raya throwing away her gaze.

"How could I not care about you. i-"

"Nev, I'm done with this lunch" Raya cut.

Raya stands up from her seat, she holds her chest tight because she does not want to hurt herself and Nev about this discussion. However he could not change all the decisions he had taken, indeed he regretted the answer to the hasty matchmaking, but now he could not possibly back down again. He and Reka have even been engaged.

"Can we go home now?" tanya Raya is cold.

Nev stood up from his seat, he understood the current feelings of Raya and he did not want to force Raya.

After paying for their food, Nev drives Raya home as the woman wishes.

Along the way there was only silence, Nev gave Raya time to think about all his words earlier.

Up in front of Raya's house, Nev grabbed Raya's hand, at which time the woman almost moved out of the car.

"If you're afraid of disappointing your parents, cancel the marriage immediately before they're even more disappointed when your marriage ends in divorce."

"Just pray this marriage will end well" said Raya slowly.

Nev chuckled at hearing the reply of Raya.

"Where may I pray your marriage is fine, I am not that naive, Raya..."

"meaning?" tanya Raya frowned.

"You know how I feel, right? Do you think I will be happy with your marriage with Reka? I'm not.." shrewd Nev.

Raya shut up and digested Nev's speech.

"Think about what I said before it was too late."

Raya remained silent, she was holding back her tears actually.

"If you can't be frank with your parents, I'll help..."

"No.." cut Raya fast.

"Alright, come in." said Nev, telling Raya to go back inside the house.

Raya pulls the door lever to get out of Nev's car, but Nev does the same thing again, that is, grabbing Raya's hand until Raya turns around to look at Nev-he wants to ask her what Nev meant to prevent her from coming back.

Nev kissed Raya's forehead quickly and made Raya's eyes pattern due to surprise.

"Nlt..." Raya tried to protest with a reddened face.

"Now it's okay to go down" said Nev, turning his eyes away because he also did not expect to do it reflexively.
