"Raymond?!" Abrine covered his agape mouth with both hands. What he saw before his eyes was beyond his prediction.

"Berin..." Raymond gasped, pushing slowly on a woman who was occupying his body. He pulled a towel to cover the bottom, then headed towards Abrine who was frozen in front of the door.

"A-pa are you doing?" The stupid question and Abrine's voice sounded trembling. Clearly, he did not expect to see Raymond's romance with Freya - one of their faculty friends on campus.

"I can explain" said Raymond.

Abrine shakes. There's nothing to explain here. He had no right to know any connection between Raymond and Freya, for he was not a special girl to the young man either. Abrine was only a friend to Raymond. Should he hear his explanation?

"I have to go, sorry to bother you." Abrine was about to turn around, but Raymond held his shoulder to prevent the girl's departure.

"Just one night stand," Raymond wrote to Abrine.

Abrine glanced at Freya who was still in the room, the girl seemed to cover her innocent body with a blanket but occasionally glanced at Abrine with a timid expression.

Abrine shook off a smile that seemed forced. Then looked up again to look at Raymond who was standing in front of him.

"It's normal, you need a girl as your companion. Excuse me," said Abrine, holding back the turmoil of his heart which inexplicably was stung with pain.

"Berin!"

Raymond still wanted to prevent Abrine's departure.

"Continue" Abrine said in a position that had turned his back on Raymond.

"You're mad at me?"

"I don't have the right to be angry with you. This is your absolute right, Ray!"

"You're disappointed in me, aren't you?"

"What basis do I deserve to be disappointed? I told you all this was normal."

"You're hurt for what I did, Abrine!" press Raymond who has now given a statement not a question like before.

Abrine did not say anything more, because he knew he had no right to obstruct everything Raymond wanted to do, much less the status of the relationship - other than friendship - between them.

Abrine wiped his tears that somehow did not know themselves even flowed on the cheeks. Abrine left Raymond, who now rubbed his own face.

Raymond stared at Abrine's back, slowly moving away. He breathed with all his chest.

"Brine, I'm sorry" he said as if talking to the girl.

The early morning air of the park was very fresh, these were the final seconds that Abrine would soon leave Germany. Soon, he will leave the country and return to Indonesia, maybe in about 2 months.

"Berin..." Without needing to look, Abrine had memorized out of his head who the owner of this hoarse voice was. He is Raymond.

"Why?"

"Still angry?" Raymond smiled slightly at Abrine, trying to persuade the girl.

Raymond nodded his head.

"Today I'm going to a social parlor. You coming?"

"No," Abrine replied briefly. For whatever reason, he wanted to avoid Raymond. It hurts too much to remember what Raymond did with Freya yesterday. But Abrine doesn't want to talk about it with Raymond right now - though he's curious about the relationship between Raymond and Freya.

"Usually you're always happy if I take you to a social parlour."

"Yes, I'm not excited this time." Abrine threw away his gaze, unwilling to look directly at Raymond's handsome face.

"Are you not feeling well? You sick?" Raymond inched closer to Abrine and directly held the girl's forehead to check her temperature.

Abrine brushed Raymond's hand off. For whatever sake he no longer wants to receive sweet treatment and excessive attention from Raymond. It's nothing, it's what's been going on for years - it's not wrong if this also makes a gaping wound in Abrine's own heart. Abrine so has more feelings for Raymond without realizing it.

Friendship between men and women has never existed. It's bull s hit!

Raymond clucked, not liking to see Abrine's rejection of him.

"You're mad at me, right? Tell me what I have to do now for you to forgive me, huh?"

Abrine laughed wryly while shaking his head.

"I have other activities." Abrine stood up from his seat, but as fast as lightning Raymond pulled the girl's arm.

"You avoided me! You're being so cold to me today. Why?"

Abrine did not answer, only felt a tight grip in his arms that was done by Raymond, the grip began to relax slowly along with Abrine who still chose silence.

"Why, Brine? You were mad to see me with Freya yesterday?"

"Brine? You mad? You jealous?"

Abrine broke into Raymond's own hand, which was still at his auction. "Yes, I'm angry, I'm jealous of you!" his frowns frankly

"Brine ... i---"

"Ray!" The voice of someone interrupting the conversation between Abrine and Raymond, it was Freya.

There was a rough sigh from Raymond as Freya got closer to her position and Abrine.

"Abrine...." Freya also greeted Abrine who Abrine replied with a faint nod.

"Are you guys dating?" ask Abrine to the point, not Raymond but Freya.

"Yes, Ray and I have been dating for the past month." Freya wrestled spoiled in Raymond's hands in a possessive-looking manner, contrary to the young man's seemingly frozen attitude - expressionless. It could even be said if now Raymond's face slowly changed pias when gazed at Abrine with a thin grin. It was as if Raymond had just been caught cheating by his own girlfriend. This is the result of his lie to his friend. Raymond was ashamed of himself, he was not open about this to Abrine.

Although Abrine is basically a bad guy, but the thing about Raymond dating Freya, it's enough to make him feel like he's slapped hard. He had no idea not even Raymond had told him. Yeah, again, what's his right? Abrine is only Raymond's closest friend who takes refuge behind the word 'friendship'.

Abrine reached out to Freya who was greeted with the girl's confused face.

"Congratulations, yes. I'm sorry I just found out now." Abrine ended his sentence while glancing at Raymond's reaction which still remained the same. Shut up and pias.

"Thanks," Freya replied with a faint smile.

Then Abrine went from there. For a moment he kept silent - deep down - he wanted Raymond to prevent his departure, but he didn't. Raymond remained silent in the position of Freya's hand that was holding the young man's arm.

All this is his own fault for making himself trapped in the friendzone circle with Raymond. They were equally comfortable with each other, but still there was no meaningful status between the two. Raymond chose Freya. Yes, this is indeed Abrine's own fault, he should not have to involve feelings in his friendship with Raymond despite Raymond's warm attitude to him.
