Chapter 198: Ancient Weapons (2)

——

|—Masa Lalu—|

Everything was blurred and a thick fog covered the area.

Bloods. Blood dripped in the sea from the sky where a gigantic man wearing an equally large Straw Hat walked in the air by stepping onto a half-transparent blue block. He was injured, a fist-sized hole was in his chest, yet he walked unaffected. Meanwhile, on his shoulder, a green-haired boy sat down. The boy looked to be no more than 10, and his hands pointed forward as more and more blue beams appeared where the giant stepped on.

"Hey, Kap." The young boy called out in a serious tone, silent, his hands raised and his eyes locked forward. The giant, whom he called the Captain, did not reply but the boy knew he was listening. "What will happen after this...?"

The giant stopped in his step. He paused for a moment before looking up at the sky. With a strange but charismatic smile on his face, he chuckled softly. "Eh? Its alright. We failed, but the next generation will succeed."

After nodding his head, the giant continued walking while more beams appeared in the air for him to step on. At that moment, a huge circular crack in the sea was already visible. The water was everywhere, the giant was walking on the sea. But the big hole was there as if there was nothing. The water continued to flow into the hole, but it was not filled at all.

"Huh. Can you believe this destruction?" The giant asked loudly. "He practically wiped out a part of the planet until it was forgotten. What a monster."

The child on his shoulders seemed unaffected by it. "Well, yeah. But don't you think we should hurry? The crew is fighting the monster you're talking about. They won't be able to hold it for long, Cap."

The Straw Hat Giant laughed hearing that but still nodded. "You're right." He sighed as he watched his wounds begin to enlarge. "This is the final seal. The first was above Mariejoa, the man's house, and the second was the Valley of Gods. Now, this should be the last place."

The plan is to place three seals in one straight line, two supporting seals and one main seal that will hold the "beast" inside.

One seal is in Paradise, the other is above the Red Line (in Mariejoa), and the last is in the New World. They will be used to seal the monster, Imu, in Mariejoa. Originally, the giant only wanted to stick one seal on Mariejois, but he realized that collecting the "key" of the seal, the 'Ancient Weapon', in that place would be quite easy and the seal would be removed immediately. So he decided to put three different seals in three different places where the Ancient Weapon would be used as a key to unlock the seal.

In this way, it would be difficult for anyone to free Imu because if they wanted to release Imu so that he could make a mess in the world again, Ancient Weapons would not agree, but if user D wants to free Imu for a long time. The final battle between them, then the Ancient Weapon will agree and a battle will occur. Though the giant man only hoped that the next fight would not be won by Imu again.

The giant man, Joy Boy, walked on a transparent plate made by the son of one of his crew members as he reached below an empty hole in the sea. Under that crack, a beautiful island the size of a large city was floating above the water gushing from the sea above.

The island is a remnant of the Great Kingdom, or what Joy Boy likes to call "Laugh Tale".

He had brought this island here before he fought Imu. The Mermaid Princess had predicted a future where they would lose, so she had taken preparations if her prediction came true this time as well. Since it was his home that he had built with his blood and sweat, he wished for it to remain safe from destruction. So he chose to hide this island under a seal.

He then turned his gaze to the child on his shoulder. "So, Bart, are you ready for action?"

The green-haired boy nodded. "Yes, captain."

The process is not difficult. Bart has to run around the island and surround it with "Barriers" he can create with his "Fruit Barrier.

The plan, Bart would create three barriers, two that he had already made in the Valley of Gods and Mariejoa, and a third one was here. The barrier power supply would be one of here and the Valley of Gods, while the main place where the barrier would be the strongest was Mariejoa.

This is a permanent barrier, there is no way to destroy it, there is only one way to undo each one. In the Valley of Gods, the barrier was hidden underground, so one could still access its surface. And to undo the barrier, they needed "Poseidon" to undo it through a special way.

The one in Mariejoa is also special. There was an empty field there, Bart had to put up a barrier around that field, where the Crewmates of Joy Boy fought with Imu. One needed to use "Pluton" as a Key if they wanted to break the seal, but even so, the other two seals supporting the main seal would not let it slip on its own.

And this is the third, The Laugh Tale hidden under the Gap in the Sea. Uranus is required to unseal this. And while the seals in the Valley of Gods and Cracks in the Sea could be opened through a single Ancient Weapon, in order to unseal in Mariejoa, one would need all Ancient Weapons and undo all the seals.

Normally, creating an indestructible barrier was impossible even with "Fruit of Barrier-Barriers".

Barriers Bart works this way – as long as he has the stamina left, That barrier will be indestructible. However, if a person with sufficient strength continued to hit the barrier, over and over again, his stamina consumption would increase and he would soon lose consciousness.

As for who has enough 'energy' to use as a battery for several hundred years? That's where Joy Boy plays a role.

"Captain, I still think it is better for you to travel to the future with Toki and then settle the score with Imu. It's a waste of time."

Joy Boy ignored the boy and touched the blue barrier that covered the entire island from all sides. Right now, because of the barrier, the island had become hidden under the water that was being poured out, so from up there, no one could identify that there was something under the hole in the sea.

Joy Boy looked at Bart and smiled at him. "I've decided, Bart. Even when are you going? I think it's the best time."

The boy snorted. "No need to worry about that. I could only cover myself with a barrier ball and jump into the sea, I would automatically bounce upwards due to the pressure of the water." He replied as the Giant wearing the Straw Hat laughed.

"Haha, smart kid." He looked at her with adoring eyes. "Ahem, after all, I'll start." Saying this Joy Boy touched the barrier as purple energy leaped from his hand. "Ohh, I can feel her sucking power. It worked."

Right now, his Haki was traveling through the barrier and strengthening it, also traveling through the wireless thread between the three barriers and straightening it as well.

Joy Boy maintained his smile as he took off his hat with his other hand and pushed it towards the child's head that covered his entire body. "Save it as a gift."

The boy came out of the hat with a flat expression on his face. "What am I going to do with this giant donkey hat?" This caused Joy Boy to blink.

"Ah, yes, you can't wear it. How stupid of me." He tilted his head for a few seconds before smiling. "Wait, I remember Jasmine making a little hat out of my saggy straw hat." He reached into his pocket as a very small hat, at least compared to his hand, came out. He then pushed the hat into Bart's head. "Well, it's good now."

After doing so, he again grabbed the giant hat and placed it over the boy's head, covering his gaze in the darkness. He said, "Don't go out. I'm sure you won't like the view you're about to see. And by the way, keep this hat as a gift, okay?"

There was only silence, "Yes." from under the hat as Joy Boy stopped laughing. He looked at his hands, his fingers slowly becoming nauseating to look at, his skin drying up and his bones slowly becoming cleaner.

"Also... Bart," Joy Boy's voice sounded heavy. "Tell everyone from the crew to put D in the middle of their children's names. I'm sure they know what D means."

Yeah another silence came from under the hat. This time his voice was shaking.

'...!!'

This is the moment when the blurred and foggy vision becomes increasingly blurred, increasingly foggy. As a huge breath filled his lungs, Luffy jumped out of his bed.

"Hahah!" He took a deep breath as he looked around with wide eyes. "What was that?"

Immediately the door of her room opened as a blonde woman appeared inside, a worried expression on her face. "Captain, is everything okay?"

"Ah. I think I just had a nightmare." Luffy blinked. "Haiyaa, but I don't even remember what it was about."

Luffy stretched out his hand and shook his head. He thought he had also experienced this dream before, but he could not remember at all about what it was. "I think it's about... Joy Boy?" Luffy said while shrugging his shoulders. "Anyways, I'm hungry!" Luffy jumped out of his bed. "Sanji, I want to eat!"

He was about to run past the Honey Queen but he saw a gift poster in his hand. "Eh? Whose poster is that?"

"Eh, are you interested?" The queen of honey said. "You know the recent Emperor of the sea, the Celestial Emperor?"

This caused Nami and Sanji, who were sitting on the deck, to raise their ears.

"He's got an increase in rewards." Luffy hummed hearing that. What the Honey Queen said caused her to freeze. "It's 4.2 Billion belly, on top of Red Hair Shanks."

Not only Luffy, even Nami, Sanji, Ussop, and even Zoro froze. They had never even heard of such a large number before.

What kind of monster has such a bounty?

Luffy's mind had already forgotten about the "Bad Dream" and was more focused on something else. "You said what's his name? Sky King or what?"
