Chapter 190: Next Phase (3)

It's been hours since Shiki's death. The people of Shiki have decided whether they will stay or leave. Most chose to stay, joining the Emperor's side, but a small percentage of people decided to leave and start a new life. I don't have a problem with that. But-the

I smiled, "Before you leave, I want to hold a small Banquet to pray for you your new life," the people gathered in front of me looked puzzled, even some were suspicious. "As it happens, I respect people's will. Since you guys want to leave, I want to feed you one last time to make sure that I will never chase you guys. I hope you'll wait a little while for the food."

There was a slight doubt, but after a while, everyone nodded. Whynot? They were hungry and tired, and some even believed they would be hunted, so they needed strength to run from here. And for strength, they need food.

I smile seeing this. Then I turned to look at the soldiers from Skypiea, especially the cooks who had arrived at this place a few hours ago and gave them a nod, implying something.

I then turned to the crowd and gave them a bright smile. "Well then everything, please enjoy yourself."

Walking out of the crowd, I kept humming softly. When the whistle entered my ear.

"Well, motherfucker."

I laughed hearing that voice and turned around, giving him a grin . "What do you mean, Raki."

Raki whose jaw hurts scoffed at my smile. "You're planning to poison them, aren't you?" He leaned against the wall and looked me in the eye. "Or am I wrong?"

I shrugged my shoulders at his taunts. "Well, you're not wrong. I mean, they're my enemies, just from the fact that they're the remnants of my old enemies." I shook my head as Raki raised an eyebrow.

"But you killed those who were loyal to Shiki. So, if they're alive, that means they shouldn't be loyal, right?" Raki asked, completely confused.

I smile. "They are not loyal to Shiki, yes, but their anger is obvious. They were angry because I killed their brothers, their sisters, their friends, and their comrades, they were so angry." I added. "And if you ask why I didn't kill them directly because they were really angry with me, it's because every soldier was angry with me. I can't kill them all, can I? those who join me can be formed later, but those who leave me cannot be formed because they will be out of my reach. So I need to take precautions where they can't fight me in the future, and that is – by killing them." I continue. "But I can't kill them directly either, because if I do, I'll look like a man who doesn't appreciate his own words. So, bad leader. So I used a poison that would kill them in a week."

Raki winked at my explanation as consciousness struck him. "Ah... That's fairer, not too fair, but logical." He went back to reading my explanation in his head and nodded. "Yes, I don't see any problem with what you're doing."

I stared at his face as his indifferent expression turned into one ... "Pft-" funny. "Bro, you think I'd care? Fuck them for everything I care about." She locked her eyes with mine before embracing me, still maintaining eye contact. "I don't even mind if you kill me, for fun or for real reasons. I don't mind at all."

Well, I had expected this to be the answer. As good as I felt, it was his great weakness. I have no doubt he would go crazy if I suddenly disappeared one day.

"Raki," called me while hugging her from behind. "Never do anything stupid."

|Pov General|

"Hm. it's good not to fall, or I have to take action myself." Floating in the air, Amon quietly observed the small islands floating in the sky. Merveille is pretty big. And with Shiki's death, it should have fallen in the sea just as it did in the canon. However, that did not happen because Amon did not want to.

island clouds. Amon has too many island clouds left. In this world, there are kilometers of island clouds around the sky, but because only a small fraction of the – Amon inhabitants can use it as they please.

To not make the island of Merville fall, all he did was control the cloud's electromagnetic bonds and move it here, a few days before the mission began. Right now, all the small rocky islands were floating above the cloud clumps, even without Shiki's strength.

"Still ..." Amon frowned. "It's too risky. The clouds would not be able to hold the islands for long, they were extremely heavy. I should probably start moving it to the White-White Sea." Raising his hand, Amon focused on the electromagnetic bonds of the clouds, instructing them to move and directing them where he wanted them to be.

Amon growled to see the islands moving very slowly. "Argh.it will take years. Very slow."

"Wow, the island's moving. Brother must have moved-Auk!" Raki groaned as her face turned like she had just bitten a lemon.

"**** me," he rubbed his severely ill jaw. Shiki punched him in the face a few times, and his teeth broke again and again. They have healed, yes, but the pain has not completely gone away. In fact, they are hurt. So hurt.

He went to Amon for this exact reason, to ask where he could find ice, but he simply replied with, "How do I know?" Raki shook her head gently as she leaned against the chair, pushing a bag of ice at her pain spot that she got from Tsumi in the end.

"Sigh.." suddenly, he recalled his conversation with Amon. He knew for sure he was too dependent on Amon. But he couldn't hate that fact. Amon is him. Father, mother, brother, sister, wife, husband. Everything that could possibly be imagined.

He could dream of a day where there would be no Raki, but he could not dream of a day where there would be no Amon. Is this love? Or obsession? Frankly, he doesn't know or want to know. Because he doesn't care. The most important thing is the fact that he, Raki, is his – live for his sake.

Was he brainwashed by her maybe? Or was he manipulated like Robin and Hancock? After all, this is not the way normal people think, is it? He realized that, but he knew it wasn't enough to change anything. She brainwashed? Continues to? He liked this kind of situation, so there was no need to think of such frightening and depressing things.

He stared at the air and fell asleep for a while. Thinking about the meaning of his existence. Just for a laugh to come out of his lips as he realized, fuck, it doesn't matter. He would only be by her side until she didn't want him. He'll only be his shadow, until he doesn't want it.
