"You're still here?" Arfan closed the door to Amara's treatment room tightly.
The night was getting late and the hospital was already very quiet. And everyone has gone home. Dygta is no exception, whom she forces to go home because her other children need her too. Unless Galang decides to stay there alone in the waiting room.
The man got up while rubbing his disheveled-looking face. It was obvious that he was exhausted, not to mention his state that had just taken a beating a few days ago and was already supposed to be home from the hospital.
"Go home" said Arfan in a cold tone as usual.
"Nature …."
"He's safe. It's just that the doctor gave him a lot of dope so it's impossible to be conscious for a long time. Just so he doesn't feel that kind of pain." Arfan explained.
"Just .. Allow me to be here sir." Arise to speak. The answer may not be what he imagined.
"Why? You also have your own life. There are many things you have to take care of. After all he's none of you, so why bother thinking about him?" the man's words succeeded in piercing Galang's heart to the deepest part, and it felt very painful.
Ah, Galang's. Nothing yet you've lost.
"I want to be here for a while. At least until Ara wakes up."
Arfan breathed out a loud breath.
"Are you deaf? Didn't I say if the doctor gave him enough dope, and it made Ara would not be conscious for a long time. Whether it's two days, three days or one week. And if tomorrow he wakes up, then the doctor will inject the drug again so that Ara remains unconscious. It's free to stay here."
Galang.
"There's no point in you staying, because Ara won't know you exist."
"Go home."
"Again, sir. Why do you always behave like that to me? Am I not worthy of Ara? What is our difference so far that you always behave like that?" Of course, he reacted.
"What do you mean?"
"I've done what I can to make us equal. But it doesn't seem like it's enough for you."
Arfan grunting.
"It seems that you still think that I am not worthy to be with Ara."
"Of course you don't deserve it. You think you deserve it?"
Galang felt his body stiffen.
"You think you deserve to make Ara a couple while you've had a relationship with another woman? Just like this sultan of yours, with Clarra serious, but Ara also does not want you to let go. My son does not deserve your treatment like that, nor Clarra." said Arfan straightforwardly and without shady aling-aling, but made Galang realize the real situation he is living now.
"Determine what is really a priority, so you can solve anything without causing new problems. And again you must be able to face the problem with a cool head so as not to misstep and make wrong decisions. Because the impact you will feel for life." Then the man sauntered away from Galang with his own thoughts.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
Clarra looked at Galang who was walking unsteadily in the 20th floor hallway where they worked. His condition did not look very good even though his appearance was quite neat.
His face looked gloomy, although bruises in some parts were also still visible. Of course the last few days they have experienced events that are quite draining of the mind and energy, and this is not easy to deal with.
"How are you doing?" The woman got up from her chair.
Galang looked up, and his daydreams collapsed instantly.
"It has improved" he replied, then he stopped when their distance was near.
"I don't think you're going to go to work just yet, because …"
"I have to work, right? I can't take too long to leave my duties here. There's a lot of things I have to finish anyway."
Clarra looked at him for a while.
"Dad and your mother are home?"
"Here, I delivered them to travel after stopping by the hospital to visit Ara."
"Hm …."
"My work is a lot today?" Then Galang asked.
"Not really, I've been working on it since yesterday, so .. you're just gonna do your part."
"All right, thank you."
"Yes." Yeah." Clarra nodded slowly.
"What about Ara?" the woman asked again.
"He's not conscious. The doctor gave her painkillers every time she woke up because of her very bad state, so …."
"He's so bad, huh?"
Galang nodded his head.
"The cruelty is Mama to others, let alone to me." Clarra suddenly felt sad and regretful at the same time.
Especially considering his last meeting with Amara before the girl had an accident. Remember the sentence he threw at her, especially remember who caused her to experience such a bad thing.
"It."
"Then what's your plan?"
"Nothing."
"You're going to meet them?"
"Yes, maybe later."
"Maybe they'll get a pretty severe punishment, so …."
"I know."
"They will also be in prison for a long time."
"I know too. Mr. Arfan couldn't possibly let go of the man who had harmed his son, so ... what else? Of course it's the severe punishment that both my parents will get." Clarra chuckled softly.
"Old man. Imagine you know who your parents are, and at the same time you know they're criminals."
Galang.
"But that's the reality I have to accept, right? It feels like I want to bury myself when I know the reality as bitter as this, but it will not solve the problem. So I can just shut up and accept, because in reality they're guilty."
"You're gonna be okay, right?"
"I'm trying. Knowing this feels really hard but I have to accept it. And it doesn't feel so bad either, when you find out the real truth. Because it wasn't me. And the only thing I think about right now is how to deal with Mr. Arfan because what my parents hurt was his son. And it's not easy."
"I don't think Mr. Arfan will relate you to what your parents did."
"I know, but still at least I'm embarrassed."
"That's sure. Normally, humans are not?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"That's what distinguishes you from them, even though the blood runs through your body. And I hope you'll stay good like this."
"I'm trying."
Galang nodded his head, he then continued his steps towards his study, intending to finish what he had to finish. At least his professional responsibilities are not neglected.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
Amara felt an incredible pain. Especially on the right part of his body that was hit by an accident three days ago.
As he turned the bow to return to his parents' house and realized that he had done something wrong.
The girl groaned in dimness. Only his eyes were open and he could not move his neck at all even just to turn his head. The tool affixed as a buffer really makes it able to move even just a little.
"Father!" The father was always the first person he remembered when he opened his eyes.
"Father!" He whimpered, then sobbed.
The pain continued to spread like endless, but this was still milder than when the first day of her awakening.
"Papa, this hurts!" Amara crying.
A few moments later Arfan showed up.
"Yes Brother, Papa's here." Arfan immediately held his left hand flailing in midair.
"It hurts!"
"Yes, Papa knows. But Papa can't do anything. Sorry." he said, calming.
"We call the doctor okay?"
Amara did not answer, but she just cried in pain.
Shortly after, the doctor showed up with his nurse. Then check the state of Amara which after three days they made unconscious.
"His consciousness has indeed recovered sir."
"Then?"
"That's a good thing. Because it seemed, other than his physique, the others did not experience any disturbances. But we can see later that Ara is completely recovered."
"Is that?"
"Yes. Let's just pray, I hope he's okay."
Arfan looked at his daughter helplessly. He felt the same pain, but in a different definition. How can a father feel this helpless when his daughter is hurt, and he can do nothing but entrust her to someone else who understands better. Usually, everything can be done on its own. And this was a pretty deep disappointment for him.
