"You're still here?" Arfan discovers that Galang is still in his daughter's care room. The time showed at 7:30 a.m.Â
After he told him not to come for one day yesterday on the grounds of telling him to rest, but this morning apparently Galang came even when everyone had just opened their eyes.
The man seemed so excited.
"Yes Sir. Today go to the police station first, just work." Error answering.
"Police office?" Arfan is a little bit of a squeak.
"Yes, there was a call earlier this morning so I had to come there to testify."
"Oh .." Arfan nodded his head.
"It looks like Ara should too. Have you had a call from the police station?"
"Yet, maybe today."
"Yes, it could be so."
"Hmm .." Arfan muttered, then his attention was distracted when his phone rang loudly.
"So Brother, Papa get a phone call first." Then the man came out.
"I'm going first, right?" He was saying good-bye but he approached.
Amara nodded her head.
"Maybe from the police station working straight away. So the sore can only come here again." said the man.
"That's okay, don't need to be either if you don't have time." Amara answered.
But Galang shook his head.
"What?"
"I'll stay here even if you refuse."
"So, shameless then?"
"Why do you call it shameless?"Â
"Yes shameless, no one asked and no one wanted to but Brother still came."
Steady for a moment.
"You're not happy that I'm coming?" ask her later.
"It's not fun, it's shame." Amara answered.
"Why embarrassed?"
"Fear ngerepotin. Is he busy?" The girl looked away at the ceiling of the room.
"Not at all." Galang was closer, but Amara was silent.
"Ra?"
"Hum?" Then he returned his attention to Galang who was standing by the bed.
"Don't start."
"Start what?"
"Don't start saying things that make us fight."Â
"No, I was just talking."
"But the impact will be another later."
"Ah, Brother baper."
"Not a baper Ra." Galang. "It just doesn't feel good here." The man felt his own chest.
"What? A heart? Check, stay in the hospital. Brother has symptoms." Amara with her cake.
"Geez, why are you being so mean?"
"Not who? I was just thinking?"
"But your estimates are cruel."
Amara then throttled, while Galang fell silent again. He then sat on the edge of the bed as usual, and his gaze did not turn to anything else.
"I know you still have doubts. But that's okay, not everyone can easily receive any news, even if it's true. Not everyone can believe what we do. No matter what the purpose is."
"Ah, .. Brother started again. The talk is getting here more and more slack." Amara tried to move to avoid the man's sight. Â
Especially to avoid himself from what might hurt him again if only this was happening was not the real thing.
Amara wanted to believe everything Galang said, but she was also afraid that maybe the man just came to cheer her up. Given his current state.
His legs and hands were injured, his face was injured, and he couldn't do anything. Even to eat and sit, he needs the help of others.
Isn't this sad?
"Clear, .." The man flicked his shoulders. "Whatever you say I will come. No matter you refuse or ask me to leave, I'll keep coming back."
Amara fell silent.
"Ma."
"Udah, go there. He said he'd go to the police station?" The girl was still staring in the other direction.
"It's also leaving."
"Yes, but Brother still stays here."
"Hmm ... just .." Galang looked back where the door was.
The object was closed but Arfan's voice talking on the phone was still heard. And the shadow is visible from the small glass gap looking back and forth in front there.
Galang then lowered his head and in the blink of an eye he peeked at Amara's forehead, leaving the girl stunned in surprise. He didn't even have a chance to escape.
"Mr …"
"I will miss you a lot" said Galang still in the same position, but in the next second he landed his lips on Amara's lips.
The girls eyes were rounded instantly, and he tried to move his head to dodge but Galang immediately framed his face with both hands.
And soon enough, Galang gripped him as deeply as he could. And they drowned for a while. Amara even closed her eyes feeling the soft and warm lips of the man.
"Well, you can go now" said Arfan, who put his phone in his shirt pocket.
"Okay sir, then I say goodbye." said Galang who glanced at Amara before leaving.
"Yes, go."Â
Then Galang immediately came out of the room.
"Are you okay?" Arfan turned to his daughter who had been silent ever since he entered.
Amara nodded her head, yet she kept her lips pursed for a moment.
"Do you think I still have a chance?" Then the girl spoke.
"A chance for what?" The father approached.
"A chance to do everything I like, a chance to achieve what I haven't achieved, or a chance to live my life ahead?"
"What do you mean?"
"My situation is like this. Can I still? I can't do anything."
"Who said you can't do anything? You're just injured so you can't." Arfan sat by her side.
Amara fell silent.
"Will be able to again. Don't despair like this." Arfan grabbed his daughter's hand.
"But then it won't be the same." Amara felt her eyelids start to heat up.
"Who said? Papa will do anything for your recovery. All the necessary things Papa's gonna work on."
Then the two girls eyes began to tear up.Â
"Don't break our spirits. Don't you know if everyone is trying their best right now? Mama comes every morning to take care of you. Mommy makes food for you, Papi and Mama Fia also often come to see you, and the others too. Even Galang spends more time here after work. Didn't you see that?"
"And Papa did more than everyone." Amara started sobbing.
"Yes, because Papa has to. Who else would do it? So help Papa by not giving up, help us by staying excited."
"Even after I was angry and prejudiced, Papa took care of me." The girl remembered the last thing she said to her father.
"You're Papa's son, of course Papa will always take care of you. Why not?"
Amara looked at the face of the man she had first recognized since being able to see. The first one he recognized, which every day, since the baby took care of him. Raised it with his own hands. And there was not a day for that long, even until now this man in front of him missed every single thing in his life.
The father was always the first to know anything that happened to him.
"Sorry, I was wrong" said Amara, who made Arfan look up.
"I'm sorry for being so angry, but I don't know the truth."
The man ducked and then stuck their two eyebrows together.
"Don't think about it, Papa will always forgive you even if you don't apologize."
But Amara was crying.
"Don't cry, Papa will be sad" said Arfan half-laughing.
"But I'm sorry."
"Papa knows."
"Will you be angry with me now?"
"No, why should Papa be angry with you?" Arfan is rising.
"I'm just afraid Papa is angry, because Kak Galang …."
"Ck! So this has something to do with Galang?" Arfan began to understand.
"Did he say something to you?" The man then asked.
Amara shook her head.
"Why are you talking like this?"
"I'm just scared."
"There's nothing you need to fear."
"But it's just a little bit."
"Just .. follow what Papa said. Don't despair, and the rest let us think." said the man, encouraging him.
"Why not be angry with me?" Amara asked again to convince.
"No."
"Even if I fight Papa?"
The man shook his head.
"Even if I stay the same, Galang?" Amara ventured, while the father frowned.
"Papa thought this had something to do with Galang." The man then got out of bed.
"Now all Papa thinks about is your recovery first. About the others, we'll think about it later. What else about Galang."
Now Amara is silent.
"Now rest again, Papa must see a doctor for your therapy." Arfan then restores the blanket that covers Amara's body before finally breezing toward the door.
"But ...." He stopped before he actually came out.
"If he's facing himself and talking seriously about this, maybe Papa will consider it" he said, then he immediately closed the door.
