Papa In-law

Galang just quietly listened to the afternoon lecture from Arfan. Because the man had no news of his daughter's sudden return from the hospital.

While Amara remained by her side clasping her hands tightly.

"If we hadn't come, it wouldn't have known Ara was home today" Arfan said, still in upset mode despite Dygta's attempts to stop him.

"Sorry." And that is all that Galang can say.

"You're her husband, yes. You are responsible for him, yes. And you who are now entitled to whatever is on him, that is also yes. But remember, she had parents who took care of her needs before she became your wife. Even long before that, I've been taking care of everything since she was a baby."

"Papa." Dygta is back.

"Is it hard to tell us you're home?" continued the man, still fiery.

"Yes sorry, I was wrong" said Galang again.

"I'm the one who came home." Amara opens the sound. She couldn't accept her father nagging her husband, even if everything was true.

"Father knows, it's okay. And Papa understands. But at least tell us, brother, so that we do not worry also misunderstand. You know, this kind of thing can be a trigger for fights in the family."

"Yes Pah, sorry. I was wrong." said Amara again.

Arfan was silent after hearing his daughter speak.

"Oh yeah, don't get angry. Poor Galangnya tired. I take care of it every day. Maybe the soybeans forgot." She defended her husband.

The father snorted in annoyance while glaring at his son-in-law.

"Not everyone can be like Papa, with his job and a lot of responsibilities, but can manage other things well. Are you still learning?" he said again, making Galang divert his pandagan.

He could not believe that this woman who was holding his hand could speak so calmly in front of a man as firm as Arfan.

She is his daughter, but it is unbelievable that this is not the case for Amara.

When almost everyone who knew her felt disinclined, what else had ever received a direct education like her, but it had no effect on this weak-looking woman.

"Hhh .. You guys are making Papa worry to know?" Arfan stuck his back on the back of the sofa.

The look on his face was calmer, not as stiff as before. Making the people around him look relieved as well.

"Well, that's clear, right? After this we eat, right? Mommy brought her food." Dygta filled the gap that had been created between them, then he glanced at the item he had deliberately brought from home.

"Mommy why bother so much to bring all the food?" Amara.

"Not anything, it was so that Galang did not bother to go out or message. Who knows you're tired of hospital food, too."

Galang then got up and brought the Dygta-drawn tote bag to the dining table. Removing the contents of which there are some food boxes that are still warm.

"Where's the meal?" The woman followed Galang to the dining room.

"Attent." The son-in-law turned on the cupboard near the kitchen counter and picked up some of the necessary equipment.

Bowls, plates are also cutlery and glasses to all have the same color.

Dygta chuckled, of course this is a unique thing from a man like Galang. Where he lives alone in Jakarta with a myriad of jobs that not everyone has. It had not been for long, but he had to adapt to what had suddenly happened to him.

"Don't put too much into the heart." The woman suddenly said.

"Please be advised, if her father Ara is like that. Since the baby he took care of it himself, and they were also very close until Ara grew up" he said, which slowed down the sound a little.

Galang.

"Actually his intention is good to give advice, only sometimes the other way. You already know, right? The way he taught you back was like that?"

The daughter-in-law nodded her head.

"That's how you behave. As long as you're right don't be afraid."

"I'm not afraid Mom, uh Mom."

"Just surprised, right?" Dygta laughs.

"Little." Even the laughs.

"Are you guys done? Are we hungry here?" Arfan's voice interrupted the conversation.

"Dear, come here." Dygta made sure all the food he brought from home was ready at the table.

Arfan appears to be helping Amara to move into the dining room, while Dygta holds Galang who is on the verge of helping Amara anyway.

"Let him do it." The woman whispered, and Galang complied.

Then the dinner on almost the afternoon was warm. And it all started when the other Arfan kids started telling stories about their activities. Response after response is thrown by adults who sometimes turn into jokes.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

She came out of the bathroom and broke her wet hair. He then approached the side of the bed where Amara was already. After bathing her as usual, she turned to take care of herself.

"Yes, it's one week." Error answering. "Why?" He draped a towel on the clothes hanger not far from him, then sat down near Amara.

"Old lumayan?"

"Hm …." The man then went up to the bed.

"And how long have we been here?"

"Where else would you go? To your parents' house? I don't think it's good because I'm not working. Want to go to Bandung but your situation like this, not good for your health, right?" The man fixed his pillow and sat leaning back.

"Keep on Papa this afternoon …." Amara paused her speech.

"Why father?"

"Sorry."

"Why apologize?"

"Papa is still like that when we are married."

"Continue?"

"I'm sometimes embarrassed by my brother."

"Why should I be ashamed?"

"Soalah Papa is still often angry with Brother."

Galang.

"Sorry Papa?"

"Have your father been like that, what can we do? Just don't make trouble with the beat, it looks like we're safe."

"Aren't you angry?"

"No. Only sometimes I feel afraid of being wrong in acting, or there are my actions that are inappropriate. Because your father is so perfectionist in every way. And I married his daughter."

"Patience huh? Nor will it. Papa is really good, but if the other person doesn't know why he likes it."

Galang shook his head while smiling.

"Now go to sleep, it's night."

Amara glanced at the clock above the nightstand.

"It's only eight?"

"Hmm .. but I'm tired." He put his head on the pillow.

"Why are you finished? From noon here?"

"don't know. Probably because I came home from the hospital." The man reached out his hand to hug Amara who also lowered his body so that they were both lying down.

"Are you really going to sleep?" ask Amara.

"Hu'um." His eyes began to stumble.

"Aren't you going to nerusin?"

"No, I'll bother you again." A little laugh.

"Seriously?"

"Hmm .. Yours is still this way. Looks like the disturbance was deliberately brought in so we don't mess around first."

"That's it?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Sister?"

"Sleeping Neng, I'm really sleepy." Galang muttered, but his hand slipped behind Amara's pajamas and immediately slipped into his chest.

Within a few minutes there was a soft snoring near his ears, making Amara turn.

"Huh, you bedbug!" he said, who found Galang already closed his eyes.
