“You want to go home ?” Mytha found her first daughter ready to come down from her room at almost noon.
“Ngak.” Amara sat on the sofa where her mother was.
“Kok is neat like this?”
“I want to find a place.” The girl answered.
“Place for what?”
“Ya to start a business lah.”
“You started a business?”
Amara nodded.
“Indeed your papa did not give you a job so you have to open your own business?”
“Ngak. Papa did nawarin me to choose to work where.”
“Certainly, why even want to start your own business.”
“ Nothing, I just want to start with my own efforts. If you work in his place of business papa will even get the privilege.”
“What's really why? Would good. You do not have to bother looking for work, or think of many ideas to start something.”
“Indeed, but I want it so.”
“You are so weird? Though there are many opportunities because your father has a good effort. He built his own business successfully, and it should make your life easier. But you are going the hard way.” Mytha.
“Mama, my life has been so easy. From childhood I always got whatever I wanted. Everything you gave me to keep me happy. So what's wrong with me starting my own business now? I am not entirely alone. Papa is always behind to support me.”
“Really? He let you do it?”
Amara nodded.
“It was pretty weird. He shouldn't have let you start your own business, because first, you just got home from Paris, and secondly you don't know anything about it.”
“I know what I'm doing. And papa also understood, That's why he supports whatever I choose. And I hope Mama too.”
Mytha stared silently at her eldest daughter. He knew that any words that came out of his mouth could never affect him right now. Amara is an adult, and she can determine her own desires without the interference of others. He knew exactly the attitude of the boy, and everything came down from his father. His firmness, stubbornness, and his stance that would not waver despite the circumstances around him became chaotic though.
“Mama also supports me right?” Amara embraces her mother's shoulders.
“Despite Mama having other options? Doesn't your dad always support whatever you do so your opinion won't matter anymore?” Mytha replied.
“Mama how do you say that?”
“Because the reality is so. Everything is always about your papa, and it looks like you won't need Mama's opinion on this.”
Amara fell silent.
He was more likely to say anything to his father. Ask for opinions and discuss everything. Even his departure to Paris was the result of his discussion with Arfan who, although less approving of his intentions, but the man released him also to choose education there. That's how close he is to his father.
No matter he had other families to take care of, the overwhelming rush of running a business, but he always had time for him. I don't know, Amara just feels comfortable. Maybe because since the baby, that guy's been taking care of it. And without ruling out Mytha's role as her mother, Arfan has always been the first place to pit.
“Mama don't be jealous so dong,” said Amara while chuckling.
“Mama is not jealous, it is reality right?”
“Ya .. who would I be like if not the same papa?”
“You speak so as if you have no one else but your papa.”
“Ah Mom, ..”
“But ... It's appropriate that he is so to you? His rights and obligations make your life happy and lack nothing so you will not feel need for anyone other than him.”
“That Mama knows?”
“Of course, this Mama is your mama.”
“So, Mama supports me right?” Amara re-embraced her mother's shoulders.
“Of course, whatever is good and makes you happy, Mama will definitely always support you.”
“That's dong, thanks Mama.” Amara leaned her head against her mother.
“Oh yes, Akmal today home what time?” Then he remembered with his only sister.
“Four three, he's been very busy lately. Lots of activities at his school and almost every day he follows.”
“Home?”
“Papa Wira who picked up.”
“Oh ... I wanted to pick you up, but if so, it's not.” The girl chuckled.
“Do not bother, you also have a lot to do.”
“Hmm... Maybe I also want to stop by Nikolai Group.” Amara.
“Nikolai Group?”
“Ya.” He nodded his head.
“You what?”
“Meeting ...”
“Galang? Mama thought you guys broke up?”
“Soal it ...”
“You're together again?’
“Ngak. Umm .. I mean, not yet.” Amara replied with a timid look.
“And you want to see him?”
The girl nodded again.
“For what? Want to flip?”
Amara clenched her mouth while holding back a smile.
“Ah, ... free drop out then go to school all the way to Paris but end up back with the same person?” The woman crossed her arms while resting her back on the back of the sofa.
“Mama uh, saying so?” Then Amara laughed.
“Already, there go. It will not be in the office. Is he very busy now?”
“Oh yes? How did Mama know?”
“That's why he's Dimitri's assistant now. So everywhere must come. Exit the country even though he will always accompany.”
“Masa?”
“You guys really broke up all sorts huh? To the extent that you don't know?”
“Mama heard he's an important person now. Like your papa used to be.”
“He really did it turned out?” Amara mutters.
“What?”
“About career and all sorts?”
“Isn't that good?”
“Ya.”
“Hmm .. pia-men and their brilliant careers.”
“Yes already, I go first huh?” Amara is ready to leave.
“Let's go back here?” Mytha escorted her daughter away.
“No idea, see later aja.”
“Go back here if you can. Mama is still kangen.”
“Oke.” Amara got into her car.
“Be careful.” says Mytha.
“Good Mama.” The girl immediately drove her car out of her childhood home.
***
Almost an hour Amara drove through all sorts of traffic dramas at midday. Before he finally arrived in front of the majestic incomparable Nikolai Group building.
Amara stared at the twenty-story building that had been standing for decades and underwent several renovations. He remembers the first time Arfan took him to that place to work, and now it's happening again for different reasons.
He pulled and exhaled slowly, then pressed his thumping chest, then chuckled.
It feels silly, but it has to be done.
“Ayo Ara, you can.” he said, while strengthening the heart.
Then Amara stepped foot into the building, and entered as soon as the security opened the door for her.
“Good day, welcome to Nikolai Group?” A receptionist greeted him immediately.
“Siang.” Amara answered.
“There can we help?” The woman behind the table asked in a friendly manner.
“I Amara.” The girl introduced herself.
It had been a long time since he had last come to visit, and the receptionist in front of him was now a different person from the one he had known before.
“Good Miss Amara? Is there anything I can help you with?” The receptionist asked again.
“I want to meet with Kak, uh means .. Mr Galang?” Amara answered.
“Pak Galang?”
“Yes, his assistant Mr Dimitri?”
The woman behind the table fell silent while frowning. Looked at Amara's smiling face.
“What's there been an appointment before?”
Amara shook her head.
“Oh, I'm sorry, it looks like we can't let you in because we don't have an appointment with him.”
“But I can't make an appointment before, because I haven't met.”
“Moreover if it is like that. We can't just accept guests for staff. Especially since there are no previous instructions.”
“But I have to meet with Kak Galang, ehm. It's important.” Amara insists.
“Sorry once Bu.”
“I beg.”
“Again, Mr. Galang happened to be not in place. So regretfully you can't meet him.”
“His Backyard went?’
“Ya.”
“Where?”
“Coming to attend a meeting with our leader.”
“When back?’
“We don't know, because it can't be specified.”
Amara stunned.
“Well, anything else we can help you with?’
“Umm .. no, thank you.” Then the girl walked out.
***
“Really?” The sound of female laughter rang out cheerfully in the parking lot.
“Ya, I think.” And the voice of the man answered him. The voice Amara knew.
“Alright, maybe next time we should go there?”
“You want to?”
“Yes, I think I need a vacation. You are right, if it will make the mind better.”
“Now you believe right?”
“Ya, good also to reduce stress.”
“Ya, ..” They both laughed together.
Galang and Clarra were walking side by side towards the building. The two engaged in a conversation that was quite pleasant, until finally they were both stunned when they realized Amara's existence there.
“Ara?” Galang's two eyeballs were completely rounded, and his body instantly froze.
“Kak Galang?” Amara stared, and without a second thought she immediately rushed into the man's arms.
