My Only One's
A Relieved Heart

He finished his business in the bathroom. Wearing his new clothes he bought earlier on the way out of the Bromo area.

The hotel was quite quiet that evening, and the situation had always been so. Its location located around the hills is a distinctive feature in itself. Although it is close to the settlement but the atmosphere is quite soothing.

He came out after making sure he looked neat, then walked towards Clarra's room which was only two rooms away from him.

"Cla?" The man knocked on the door.

"Let's go downstairs? You hungry aren't you? I'm hungry."

There's no answer.

"Clarra?" He came back knocking, but there was no word.

"Are you asleep?" The barrier attached an ear to the door, and accidentally pressed the handle so as to make it open by itself.

"Ck! not locked anymore, you sloppy!" The man muttered.

Had intended to close it again, but Galang was stunned when he heard a sobbing sound from inside.

He fell silent to assure his hearing, and the sobbing sound became increasingly soft.

Galang ventured to peek through the open gap. And he saw the woman sitting behind him on the balcony floor which was directly proportional to the entrance. His back seemed to be trembling like it was holding back a cry.

"Clarra?" So decided to enter.

"What's wrong?" He was squatting beside her.

Clarra had not answered, but her sobbing sounded more and more subtle. With a crying voice that seemed as if he was holding back desperately.

"Clarah! What ...." Galang touched his shoulder, and at once the woman's cry broke.

He was too shocked to dodge, so he ended up just leaving it like that for a while. And finally Galang sat on the same floor.

The man no longer asked, but immediately pulled her into a hug.

A cell phone slipped out of Clarra's hand and fell to the floor with the screen up. So that Galang can see it clearly. Then he picked it up.

A few messages from an anonymous number with angry and upset tones, which is likely to be the cause of Clarra's burst of crying.

Mama just wanted to meet, but you always avoided.

I am your mama!

You should have listened to me!

Both of Clarra's hands coiled around Galang's waist, and she hugged him tightly back. It's like she'd fall if she didn't. And his crying seemed not to be abating.

"She just gave birth to me" Clarra said in a raucous voice.

"After that it's gone."

Half an hour passed and she had just stopped her crying.

"Then I met him when I was an adult."

"He says if he doesn't run, his life is threatened. Then what about me?"

Not listening.

"If it wasn't for Fahmi's doctor and Vita's doctor, maybe I'd just end up in an orphanage."

"He only said if his life was threatened, Galang. Without thinking if I'd ask anyone who knows better."

"Even though Om Satria strictly forbade, in the end my parents said so too after I threatened to leave."

Clarra finally recounted the first time she found out that she was not the biological child of a married couple who had been nurturing her since infancy.

After the arrival of a foreign woman to their home when she returns home from school after her graduation.

The woman who claimed to be the mother who gave birth to her, and shadowed her life until now. Must have been a rejection he ever let down, but Larra did not want to hear.

"Does he need me now? Where has he been all that time? Did he not realize that he had destroyed me?"

Galang. He decided to just listen.

"To the extent that it makes me cancel marriage because he always messes with it." Clarra.

"What?" Galang's body looked a little convulsed.

Clarra raised her face that had been wet and swollen from crying. He recalled the painful event, which added to his grief becoming worse.

🍂 Flashback On 🍂

The four of them fell silent and looked at each other as a beautiful woman who had just arrived spoke before them.

Larra, who was upset that she always received rejection from her daughter when she asked to meet, decided to go to Doctor Vita's house. Which coincidentally on that afternoon was receiving a great guest, Doctor Syahril along with his mother and daughter.

They are talking about a marriage plan between two people who have been knitting together for more than a year.

Larra loudly said that she was Clarra's biological mother in front of Doctor Syahril and her mother. I also want to be involved in this planning.

But what Larra did not expect was when her husband's whereabouts were questioned. Regarding the origin of the man who had caused her to conceive and give birth to Clarra.

"Mom, I'm an adopted daughter, and this is my mother." Clarra explained with a trembling voice. Finally he had to open up to this matter as well, which he had been harboring for many years.

"Mas, if we get married later, maybe it's not Papa who will marry us, nor is it my real Papa. But the judge." With his chest he continued.

Indeed, this must be explained as much as possible so that no one will block it later.

"Because I don't know, and have no right to know the matter."

"Mas knows, it's not easy for me to explain this, because the odds are two. Mas will look down on me and my family, or Mas will cancel everything. So I'm all handing it over to Mas." Her tears started to flow.

The man understood Clarra's condition, and then he shook his head slowly.

"No Cla, I won't ...." But he hung his words when his mother touched his arm.

"Clarra, we need some time to think?" The man's mother said.

"Mom?" Shahril.

"Obviously we're surprised, but we promise we'll talk about it well, so we'll just have to get here first?" he continued in a gentle way.

"Is that?" Clarra rubbed her wet cheek.

"Yes, this is very surprising. But I promise you we'll talk again, okay? As soon as."

"Well if you want that." Clarra answered.

But in reality, the middle-aged woman said the most painful thing Clarra had ever heard other than the fact that she was not the biological child of her parents.

Inadvertently, Clarra heard the debate between the child and the mother when she visited as usual to the doctor's residence at the weekend.

And the reason for closing ourselves off from anyone starts here.

"Mother disagrees, Clarra is not only an adopted child, but she is also an illegitimate child."

"Mom!"

"The origin is unclear, whose father is and where. Are alive or no longer exist. Then how do you explain it to our extended family?"

"There is no need to explain anything, open our obligation to explain."

"Stay, mother does not want our descendants to be tarnished by one person. She will take the place of Nisa's parenting of Shahnaz and give birth to your offspring later. Then ...."

"Stop mom!"

"Mom just disagrees. You want to choose the mother who gave birth to you, or her?"

"It can't be like that, Mom!" Syahril's doctor scratched the hair on his head in frustration.

"Mom's decision is already unanimous, we cancel it."

🍂 Flashback Off 🍂

"And I'm sure everyone will think the same. Then what about me? He made my life like this?"

Galang exhaled softly, while the woman was still leaning against his chest.

"You know, today is the first time I've let go of everything I've ever been alone in. And it feels relieved. Although in the end my mother still ruined it as usual."

"Are you relieved?" Galang asked.

"Little." And Clarra answered.

"Do you feel any more relieved?" said the man.

"How is it?" Clarra.

They looked at each other for a long time.

"Tell me everything, and cry."

Clarra chuckled a little at it.

"Come, cry if you still want to cry. My chest is still fit to hold your tears." The man said.

But Clarra got up and patted him on the shoulder. Then he wiped his wet eyes.

"I'm serious."

"You're so ridiculous. Later Amara can be angry if you know you like this." said Clarra while shifting away.

"Huh? What the hell are you saying? Who did I mention I didn't hear?"

"romance."

"Who is Amara?"

"Your boyfriend."

"Forgot that I am single? Did he leave me?" Galang pointed his index finger at Clarra.

"Ish, so proud to be single?" The woman rolled her eyes.

"Proud of you, I'm a cute singles know?"

"What?"

Then in a blink of an eye they again argued as usual. And the sadness that originally dominated even turned into a laughter that was so warm.
