My Only One's

My Only One's
A Reality #2

Amara decided to leave as soon as she got an answer from security if Galang had been out of the Nikolai Group building since a while ago.

He then drove his white Pajero Sport to split the city streets almost in the afternoon at the end of the week.

The streets were certainly congested as everyone had just ended their workday, and some of them enjoyed their weekend break from that afternoon.

Amara wanted to get home soon, she felt so tired after a day of arranging the room from the store that would be the place to start a business.

He decided to take a shortcut that he remembered often passed by both Arfan and Dygta when he picked him up at school first, when he was a child.

A medium settlement street that is quite large and happens to be not very crowded.

Amara drove her four-wheeled machine leisurely before finally passing by a large house on the side of the road. And the figure he was so familiar with was there.

The girl slowed down the speed of her car to make sure, then she stopped. And yes, it was indeed a person he knew very well.

His big motor he remembers being bought with him at an acquaintance Arfan dealer, parked in front of the terrace. And they were talking.

Doctor Fahmi, whom Amara recognizes as Satria's cousin-in-law, is also of course Clarra. They looked familiar, and Galang even spoke while laughing with the middle-aged man of the house owner.

And don't forget, too, his attitude towards Clarra, and that woman who acted differently. He knew, and understood with such an attitude.

And for a while Amara was there to listen to the scene with a foreboding mind.

Of course he asked for time, let alone not unblocking it on social media. It was possible that this was the cause, and he was unconscious.

"No, no!" Amara shook her head.

But two years is long, and people can change over time.

He remembered the words of his father.

"Papa must know something about this. Maybe it means …." He's monologuing.

Simultaneously, the galang drove his motorbike out of the courtyard of doctor Fahmi followed by a wave and a sweet smile from Clarra.

"Sir Galang, is this the cause?" he murmured with a heart of pain.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

Galang spurred his green Kawasaki Ninja out of the apartment area. Intended to return to Bandung as he always did at the end of each week.

The night had crept up, and the man had indeed chosen to drive at night to avoid traffic jams and hot weather on his way home.

His motor stopped in front of a burning red light, next to a white car he seemed to recognize?

The man opened the glass of his helmet, and sure enough as he suspected, that the four-wheeled vehicle belonged to Amara.

The owner seemed to focus on looking ahead, either into a crowded street or a traffic light that changed color. He seems to be daydreaming?

Then Galang decided to knock on his tightly closed glass.

Amara looked surprised, someone knocked on the glass of his car while he was daydreaming, of course, made him shake.

He turned his head while frowning, finding a man on a large motor moving his hand.

"Yes?" The girl opened the glass.

"Follow me!" Galang.

"What?"

The man took off his helmet for a moment so Amara could recognize him.

"Later follow me." repeated Galang which made Amara even more stunned.

"The light is already Ra's green!" the man shouted again as the vehicle in front started moving.

He kept his bike next to Amara's car, and drove it somewhere. And there was nothing Amara did but follow Galang's direction, though her heart continued to throb pain. But maybe this needs to be resolved right now.

They entered the beach area after driving for a long time. The area was deserted, of course, because the night was already late. Except for the beachside cafe that is still open, and is the only place crowded by visitors.

Both stopped not far from the cafe, and Galang immediately got off his bike while removing the helmet. Amara was still in the car.

The man knocked back on Amara's windshield, which opened slowly.

"I want to talk" he said, as soon as the girl's face was clear. His eyes looked puffy, maybe he had just cried.

"Come down, we'll talk outside" he said, opening the door for Amara.

They were both silent for a while. Staring at the darkness of the night that shaded the beach on the bridge only with the illumination of small strands of lights mounted from pole to pole.

"Ara, I …." Arrested to start a conversation.

Amara budging.

"Where are you from these nights?"

"Street around."

"Only?"

Amara nodded.

"Why?"

"I must calm my mind." replied Amara, flat.

"Ra, I'm sorry for …."

"Sister with Brother Clarra?" The girl immediately asked.

Galang's face paled.

"What-what?"

"Are you with Brother Clarra?"

The man was silent with his mouth slightly gaping.

"I asked, Brother is in contact with Brother Clarra?" Amara repeated her question.

"How do you know?" Galang replied with surprise.

"So right?"

"How do you know? You're investigating me?" The man grabbed Amara's arm, then gripped her firmly.

"I have no intention of investigating Brother, I just." He grimaced as Galang's wring tightened on his arm.

"You're following me?"

The girl shook her head.

"I just accidentally passed in front of Kak Clarra's house when I wanted to go home. And b*gonya I chose that road because it's stuck. I'd seen Brother there." Amara chuckles bitterly.

Galang's forehead is crimped sharply.

"So right?" Amara looked at the man's face with a painful feeling.

"I just want to …."

"Jawab it, right or not?" The girl raised her voice.

While Galang closed his mouth tightly.

"Jawab why the hell? So I won't expect it again with Brother!"

The lips are shaking.

"true." And that word came out of his mouth.

Amara nodded her head.

"OK" he said, releasing Galang's grip from his arm.

"Thank you." He meant to leave.

"Ma." He pulled his arm back to stop him.

Amara brushed off the man's hand to dodge, but failed. Galang even managed to grab it and pull it back to where he stood.

"Listen to me first!"

"What else? It's obvious, right? What should I be horrifying? Any explanation will not change the situation if you are with someone else. I can what?"

"Speak about what?"

The man looked at Amara's sad face.

"I came home, excited for a purpose. So I cancelled all my plans back in Paris. Brother want to know what my purpose is?"

Galang.

"Sister." Her voice choked.

"I understand why Brother insisted on entering Nikolai Group. I understand why you keep working there. And I also understand what makes Brother try so hard to get the job. It's not about dreams or goals. But there are bigger things that you have to fight for. And I realized too late. Why did it take so long for me to realize all that." The two girls eyes started to feel hot and teary.

"I'm sorry." Then a clear circle slid from the corner of his eye.

"I was wrong. Assuming everything I think is true, and thinking everything I want should be obeyed."

"I was wrong."

"I also don't consider Big Brother's words and feelings as things to be appreciated. I'm just thinking about myself. I'm sorry."

Galang just fell silent.

"Lucky Piere always advises me. He explained everything so clearly that I understood." Amara chuckles again.

"Why should he also make me understand, why not Brother's words?"

Galang's face changed to hear the girl mention Piere's name, and his reflection returned to the scene a few weeks ago when he saw them hugging in the back of the hotel.

His jaw hardened and his teeth chattered.

"You know, there's no promise between us to wait for each other. You're the one who left me that long without even noticing."

"I know, and I was wrong."

"Then suddenly you came without feeling sinful, then asked us to come back."

"Yes, I want to …."

"What do you think I am?" Galang. And this is the first time since they've known each other that man's done that.

"I have a heart, and it's not made of recycled stuff so it can go back to what it was. And you, simply speaking as if I were not human."

Amara's shoulders trembled withstanding the cries. No one had ever snapped at him like that, not even his father who had been his mother since infancy had never spoken in such a painful tone like the man in front of him.

"I didn't betray you. We broke up two years ago. You're the one who left and chose to let me fight alone when I was steadying myself so as not to feel low in front of your Papa."

Amara wiped away the clear circles that slid freely on her cheeks.

That part he's right. His inner.

"We don't even have any promises, so am I wrong to choose someone else?"

Amara answered with a sledgehammer.

"So I'm not wrong about choosing to be with Clarra?"

Then Amara nodded.

"Then where's the problem?"

"I think what we're doing in the hotel elevator means something to Brother." Amara with a raucous voice.

"I think it's …."

"I just got carried away. I was so happy to find you that it made me unconscious and act so." Galang answered firmly

"What?"

"If I knew you were with someone else, there's no way I'd do it."

Amara frowned.

"That man who may have been with you there, and be your place to express your feelings so that he no longer needs me."

"I mean Brother?"

"Then what does it mean to me compared to him you hugged in the park behind the hotel?"

"So that time Brother really came?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Why didn't my sister see me? I've been waiting for you since morning."

"For what? To see you making out with your girlfriend?"

"Daughter?"

"With watching you hug and laugh alone it makes me feel enough. Hope is no more, Ara. I waited patiently for two years, but what? You're wasting the time I've wasted."

Amara recalls the last incident she experienced in Paris.

"What does Brother Piere mean?"

"Huh, I don't need to know his name." Two steps back.

"I don't think I and Piere …."

"Not to be explained. I don't need an explanation" he said, with a mocking look.

"But Brother, Piere is my friend."

"Yeah, right. Friends to fill the loneliness. And to make out."

Amara darted quickly and unexpectedly slapped on Galang's face.

"So big brother's mouth!"

The man froze. Amara's loud slap makes her die a flea.

"Me, those two years in Paris were studying. To strengthen skills and increase knowledge. And Brother knows, I also gained quite a meaningful experience. From my friends, especially Piere."

"And if your current thoughts are bad for me, it's not my fault. But only Big Brother likes to make his own conclusions without finding out the truth."

Galang clenched his mouth tightly while feeling his hot and sore face.

"Which Brother saw in the back of the hotel when I hugged Piere that big brother thought of as making out?" Amara's breathing roared.

"That's us celebrating graduation."

The man held his breath for a few seconds.

"I just feel good that we graduated with the best grades. Which means we have a better chance of getting a chance to work in the most classy places. Especially for Piere. He doesn't have to spend time working for a very small salary. He will be able to support his elderly and unemployed father. And prove to his mother that he was wrong for leaving them."

Galang blinked his eyes. His head was like being hit by a giant godam, which seemed to wake him up from unconsciousness.

"We're celebrating graduation, not making out." repeated Amara, then she stepped down.

"Congratulations, Brother got a better replacement than me. I hope you're happy" she said, then she ran to her car.

"Mom!" He immediately chased after her.

"Wait!" Again he pulled Amara not to go.

"Let go!!" But Amara tried to release her grip. Anger, of course, now dominated his heart after he heard all the words that were thrown from the mouth of the man he loved most after Arfan's father.

"We have to talk again Ra, then …."

"No need!" Amara refused.

"Must Ra, many things …." Then unexpectedly Amara set his foot hard on Galang's shins, making him bend and complain of pain. Then it quickly pushed him until the man lurched back and fell on the sand.

"May Brother be happy!" Ara screamed, then got into her car, and then immediately caught gas from the place.

Leaving Galang in pain and trying to get up alone.
