Doctor Niko knocked on the door of the room and the four of us entered after being invited by the owner.
"please sit down" said Ricky's doctor graciously as he moved his palms across the three seats before him.
The three of us sitting in chairs have been provided. Doctor Niko stood next to Dr. Ricky with her arms crossed over her chest.
"so this is sir, ma'am, and Mr. Devan... Based on the results of the examination and diagnosis of the patient, I apologize once before" said Ricky doctor
"we will try to accept all the results of the doctor" Mother's voice trembled
"this, cancer cells have increasingly spread to other organs, so it will be difficult for you to control and stop it.
at present we can only inhibit the growth of cancer cells and reduce complaints suffered by patients" said the doctor
"And with a heavy heart, I apologize for having to say this, the patient's recovery rate is only 20%"
Father and mother Ditya increasingly sobbing hearing the words of doctor Ricky. The words spoken by the doctor really made their hearts sore.
Devan, who was sitting in the middle of the parents, tried to calm the two by rubbing their backs with his right and left hands.
"We pray for a miracle. What God's destiny is we don't know. We as a medical team will work to all our abilities. The rest let God decide" added Dr. Ricky.
"thank you doc, please do your best for my brother" Devan said as he reached out to shake Ricky's hand
Doctor Ricky returned Devan's hand and smiled gently "that's for sure, sir"
The four of them came out of Ricky's doctor's office. Niko's doctor escorts Devan and the patient's parents to Ditya's treatment room.
Devan asked the hospital to put Ditya in the VVIP room. Large room with complete facilities that are intended for certain circles.
They arrive in front of the ICU room, doctor Niko advises them to enter alternately. Bu Wati is welcome to meet the patient first.
Ms. Wati entered the ICU room. The room is quite big. It is blocked by the Ditya treatment room and a small room used for one doctor and two nurses. He entered the small room and went to see the doctor and the nurse.
"sorry, I want to meet my son" said Bu Wati politely
"well ma'am, let me take you, but before that please wear special clothes that are provided according to the procedure" said one of the nurses while handing over the visitors' special clothes and masks and headgear.
The room should be completely sterile. Ms. Wati followed the nurse's orders. He was wearing the clothes and equipment that the nurse was giving him.
Ms. Wati was escorted by a nurse to Ditya's room. The nurse opened the door and let Ms. Wati in. Then the nurse returned to her room and let bi Wati meet her own son.
The atmosphere of the room was very quiet. Ditya is still not aware.only the sound of several medical devices that are mutually simple. Many wires were attached to Ditya's head and Ditya's body which looked thin and pale.
Lady Goddess stepped slowly towards her weakly lying son. He sat down on the bedside chair and continued to cry to see the state of his son. Both of her hands kept her mouth shut as she did not want her cries to break even more. What a sad sight when he saw his only son could only lie down with a few wires and hoses all over his body.
He touched and grasped one of his son's hands that was not attached to the infusion. Ms. Wati kept crying looking at her son's face.
"get up son, I want to see your smile" she said, stroking her son's cheek
It has been almost an hour since Wati accompanied Ditya. He remembered that he had to alternate with his husband and adopted son. He stood up from his seat and kissed Ditya's forehead.
"Mother stay first, son, quickly realize, we all love you" he said, staring at Ditya's face.
Ms. Wati came out of Ditya's room and took off the special clothes she was wearing. He returned the equipment to the caretaker.
Mr. Yanto, the husband of Ms. Wati immediately welcomed his wife who had just come out of the ICU. He hugged his wife as a way to calm her down.
Now it's Mr. Yanto's turn to enter the room Ditya.
Devan and Bu Wati faithfully waited from outside. They sit side by side in the ICU's front waiting room.
"mom, shouldn't Vania know about all this?" ask Devan
"mother also thinks like that, son. but." said Ms. Wati hanging.
"but why ma'am?"
"mother is not sure that Vania will be okay, considering that she was sick until she had to be hospitalized for being too stressed. This is afraid that the incident will happen again"
Vania did experience that when she was in High School. He is depressed and stressed when going to undergo national exams, so he must be in hospital for several days.
Devan was shocked to hear the statement from his mother. He had never heard of the news from Andre.
"but ma'am, isn't he going to be more shocked to hear this news if he has to know from someone else? we can say it slowly, in a way that can pass through his family first" Devan suggested
"you're right, son, I'll call his mother first thing tomorrow morning, let her deliver it to Vania. He must have known the right way to give understanding to his daughter"
Shortly after, Mr. Yanto walked out of the room. The old man had a sad look on his face and could no longer hide his sadness.
"you want to see it, son Devan?" ask Mr. Yanto slowly
"let Ditya rest first sir, I will see him tomorrow, after all, the visiting hours will also end" devan said while looking at his watch to equalize the schedule of visits written on the doorstep of the room.
"Son, if you are tired you can go home first, pity your parents will wait" said Ms. Wati.
"mom, aren't you also part of my family... Devan will stay here with mom and dad. The hospital has prepared a place of rest for us not far from the room Ditya"
"let's at least tell your father and mother not to worry"
"well mom"
Devan walked a little away from his father and mother. He tried to contact his mother to give her news of his lack of return.
Mother also agreed with Devan and said tomorrow she would visit her son's new family.
Devan returned to his father and mother after completing his call and took them to the rest room provided by the hospital.
