Bewilderment

In an instant, Vania's body suddenly weakened and collapsed unconscious in her husband's arms. Devan panicked and worried. He immediately flushed out Vania's body carefully. Body's hot. Devan opens the blanket that covers his wife's body. He was surprised to see the blood so clearly visible on the thick white blanket that Vania was wearing. He quickly removed the blanket.

Devan immediately put his clothes back on and went out to pick up his phone left on the living room table to contact Niko's doctor.

After conveying his intention to doctor Niko to come immediately, he switched to taking the medicine box next to the kitchen.

"Master, what are you looking for?" tini asked Bu out who from the kitchen saw her employer seemed busy looking for something.

"Mom, where's the wind oil" asked Devan frantically.

"That's in a small box. What do you want to do, sir?" asked Bu Tini who was curious because not usually his employer was looking for a medicine box.

"My wife fainted, her body was so hot, Mom" Devan replied as he opened the medicine box.

"Master, sorry if I've been presumptuous, the lady from yesterday never ate at home. And it seems like Miss has not eaten yet. Because I noticed in these two days he looked limp and pale" said Bu Tini who made Devan even more surprised.

"What's? why did Bu Tini not say" asked Devan annoyed at feeling cheated.

"I dare not say because Miss forbid it, Sir. Forgive me" said Ms. Tini in fear.

"Yes, please make porridge so that he can eat after waking up" said Devan who then passed back to his wife.

Devan approached the body of his weakly unconscious wife. The woman looked pale with puffy and flushed eyelids.

Devan greased the wind oil to a certain part so that his wife quickly woke up. He also rubbed his wife's palms that looked pale.

"honey, wake up.forgive me.." Those words just keep saying. He was so sad to see his wife helpless.

Half an hour later Niko's doctor came with the door opened by Bu Tini. Ms. Tini immediately drove the doctor to her employer's room.

"Excuse me, sir... I'm sorry I was a little late due to the traffic jam" said doctor Niko because the distance to Devan's house should only take twenty minutes longer.

"Please check on my wife, doc" Devan said worriedly.

Doctor Niko examined Vania. He aimed a stethoscope at the woman's chest to make sure her heartbeat was normal. He also used other medical devices to check.

"His blood pressure is low, sir. Miss is just exhausted and.." paused for a moment because it was not nice to continue her words.

"And what is the doctor?" ask Devan worriedly.

"It looks like Miss is lacking in fluids and nutrients, probably because her diet is irregular" said doctor Niko hesitantly. He was afraid that his explanation would hurt the man because he thought he did not take good care of his wife.

"She hasn't been keeping up with her diet lately" Devan said

"I'll make sure that soon Miss will be aware. Nina just needs a lot of rest and regular meals for her health to recover quickly. It's medicine and vitamins to take" Niko said, taking three tablets out of her bag and handing them to Devan

"Thank you doctor" Devan said

"Well, I'll excuse you, young master" said Niko

Devan nodded. "Mom, please take the doctor to the front" he said to Bu Tini.

"Good Sir"

Shortly after Niko's departure, Vania regained consciousness as her eyes opened slightly. The eyes look puffy and reddened.

Devan immediately approached Vania's body and held her wife's left hand.

"Darling.you are conscious.." he called me soft.

"I'm sorry" he said sadly while kissing the back of his wife's hand.

Vania is still unmoved by Devan's apology. She just silently looked at the face of her husband who was so close to her with tears.

"I promise it won't be like that again, please forgive me" he said.

"There's nothing to forgive, brother. It all started with my selfishness. I'm wrong" he said in a limp voice.

"I love you so much" said Devan Lirih. He kissed his wife for a long time. Vania closed her eyes feeling the comfort she felt so Devan's lips touched her warm forehead.

Devan let go of his kiss.he stared fixedly at his wife's face.

"Said Bu Tini these two days you ignored her cooking. Now eat yes, let me bribe" he said gently

Vania nodded slowly with a smile drawn on her pale face. He tried to sit up despite having to endure the pain.

Devan immediately called Bu Tini to bring him the porridge he asked for. With a swift Bu Tini brought a tray containing a bowl of warm porridge and a glass of water that he had prepared for his employer. And returned after handing it over to his master.

"Aaaaaaaaaa" said Devan, asking his wife to open her mouth when a spoonful of porridge had been pointed at Vania's mouth.

Vania followed her husband's orders and accepted the gruel.

Not even half a bowl, Vania had asked Devan to stop his bribe.

"One more time dear" said Devan as he lifted the spoon.

Vania shook her head slowly as she directed her hand to reject the spoon in her husband's hand, "i'm full".

"Yes, have a drink after that take your medicine" Devan said as he handed a glass of water to Vania. Devan also prepared medicines and vitamins that his wife had to take.

"Rest first, I'll take a quick shower in the upstairs room" said Devan, rubbing his wife's hair gently.

Vania nodded. He returned to his body to rest properly.

Devan stood up. He went out and closed the door to Vania's room. It didn't take long for him to come back with the clothes on his body. It looks fresh with slightly wet hair. He returns to Vania worried about leaving his sick wife for too long.

Devan turns Vania's room doorknob. He was surprised to find Vania who stood holding the back of the mattress while grimacing in pain. Devan ran over to his wife.

"What's wrong?" devan asked worriedly.

"I want to go to the bathroom, but my bottom hurts" he replied slowly.

Devan immediately helps his wife to the bathroom by holding Vania's body and sitting her on closed.

"Thank you, come out"

"Call me if you need anything. I'm just going to close some of the doors so I know if anything happens" Devan said.

Vania nodded, "don't come in if I don't call you"

Devan came out of the bathroom and waited for his wife behind the door.

"hiks..hiks...."

"You're why baby" cried Devan from the outside when sounding Isak crying Vania. However, the man did not dare to enter without his wife's consent.
