Love Vania

By midnight, Vania was asleep. Mama Karin rushed out to meet her daughter-in-law.

"Son Devan" called Karin's mother when she saw Devan sitting on the front bench of the room bowing his head.

Devan raised his head to look at the voice. Mama Karina approached Devan and sat down next to him.

"How, Ma? Is the condition better?"

Mama Karina nodded then replied, "she has improved and is now asleep"

"Thank God." said Devan in relief.

"Sorry Mama's daughter, son. We overindulged her so much that it made her a stubborn woman. Forgive us for wrongly educating her" Mama Karin said in tears.

"Ma, there's nothing to forgive. From the beginning Devan chose his mother's daughter, Devan was ready to accept all his shortcomings. It's Devan's job to fix it. Just pray that our problems are resolved quickly" Devan said softly.

"Thank you for understanding and loving your daughter, I'm grateful to have a daughter-in-law like you. Now come in if you want to see your wife. Slow down so that she does not wake up" said Mama Karin. He couldn't keep his son-in-law from staying outside.

"Thank you, Ma" Devan replied happily because he could see Vania's face up close.

Devan steps into Vania's room. He approached and sat down on the bedside chair that Vania occupied.

Devan observed the innocent face of his sleeping wife. There is a sense of guilt for ignoring his wife to make her fall. It felt like he touched the smooth cheeks of Vania who was covered by her hair. But he was afraid that the woman would wake up.

Long enough Devan accompanied the sleeping Vania. Until finally he stood up for fear that Vania realized his existence. Devan ventured to kiss Vania on the forehead before she left the room.

In the afternoon the atmosphere of the room Vania treated looks full because of the presence of the family Vania and her mother and father-in-law who just arrived. This time Devan was able to enter the room.

Vania keeps forcing her to go home. But his return is not back to his home. Except her mother's house. Everyone was shocked by Vania's request, including Adit. Adit balked at his sister's request. Not because he didn't want his brother back. However, she wanted her sister to first discuss this with her husband.

But instead of responding, Vania continued to whine at her mother to bring her home.

Mama Karina glanced at Devan. Devan who could no longer struggle with his wife's wishes only nodded weakly. He has resigned and can no longer force Vania. And Mama Karina was forced to reassure her daughter after getting a cue from her daughter-in-law despite having to let everyone down.

Devan contacted the hospital to submit a request for his permission to bring Vania home.

After getting permission to go home, Adit and Mama Karina took Vania home followed by a car owned by Devan and his parents.

Vania rested her body in the room. She did not want to be met by anyone including her husband.

Devan said he would come home and promised to come back tomorrow.

"Aden, let's go in here, who's who" said Bu Inah because he saw Devan coming in the morning.

"Who, Bi" asked Mama Karina who just came out of the kitchen because she heard someone was visiting early in the morning.

"I, ma" answered Devan, approaching Mama-in-law and regretting it.

"Go upstairs. Speak carefully. I hope he understands"

Devan goes upstairs to Vania's room. She knocks on the door and Vania lets her in because she doesn't know if it's her husband.

Devan turned the door knob and pushed slowly to have the door open. Visible Vania was sitting enjoying the cool morning air through the balcony window of her room.

"Yang" called Devan slowly making Vania turn her head.

"Remain you here" replied Vania Ketus.

Devan approached Vania and sat down in front of Vania, resting her body on her knees.

"I'm sorry I had to make that decision. I just don't want to lose you. Understand... It's gonna be hard for me to live without you"

"Don't want to lose me? But why are you making me lose for the umpteenth time? I've been sick enough to lose two people I love. And now you're taking my happiness by asking the doctor to remove the fetus in my womb. Do you know how sick I am as a mother?" vania is full of emotion.

"I'm sorry" said Devan.

"Sorry it's easy. But can you put the fetus back in my womb?"
