Chapter 67. Wretched

Today Adi came home late at night because there was an event from his office, he told me. I'm a little worried actually if he comes home too late at night, I know he likes to drink alcohol with his close friends. Although I was silent but sometimes I was worried about her situation. I only accompany him if he drinks alcohol with his friends and sometimes he smokes too. I'm trying to make him change, though, but it may be a bit difficult to change someone who has long had past trauma from family and environmental factors of friends during his studies in Bandung to repent. For people who like the same sex will certainly experience the disease, especially for fellow men. Just to imagine it, I was horrified. 

"Ka Adi today want karaoke together temen - meeting office yaa Ri.." 

"Yeah Ka.. What time's home?" Quick reply.

"It looks like he could be home in the middle of the night.. But I told you how you were in the office there was an event so the midnight return." 

"Oh jaudah.. Later news - news... I haven't slept yet.."

"Yeah baby.. Ka Adi will be told if you have come home already.."

After a few hours, Adi told me that he was sleepy and forced to drink alcohol by his friends. 

"R.. How will Ka Adi go home.." Adi said in his short message. 

"Certainly? Did Adi drink?" I reply quickly.

"Yes a little bit but.. Only Ka Adi was so sleepy. If Ka Adi comes home with a lot of drinking later the same look of Mama's danger." 

"Yaudah or Ka Adi want to call me?" 

Adi did not reply to my message quickly back then, thus making me fall asleep. Arrived while I was soundly sleeping. I heard the sound of the door opening and Mama went into the room waking me up. 

"R...Ri.... Bangun RIiiii... That's Adi's calling you?" Shouting Mama.

I also woke up and opened the phone, it turns out that there have been 10 missed calls from Adi. 

"Yes, right? Let's be ready - ready.." Said Mama.

"Eh why Ma?"

"Father is ready in front.. Adi was hit by the same guy. He did not dare call his mother. So call Mama with Mama. You jumped out of bed.." Mama replied in panic.

"Huh? O Allah the Adi. Yaudah I'm ready - get ready to get the jacket." I'm ready to get my jacket, my little bag and my wallet.

At half 3 am I, Mama and Bapak walk towards Duren Sawit Hospital. From Mama's story, Adi did not know anyone had hit him from the side. Because the man fainted, Adi was responsible for taking him to the Hospital because Adi was surrounded by local residents. During the trip Adi kept calling me, I picked up the phone and he always asked "Where is it? Ka Adi is panicking." 

Once at the Hospital I told Adi and turned off the phone and she came straight to me and hugged me tightly.

"R.... I love you so much.. I Love You so Much...." With a trembling tone and I was surprised he let out those words while being like this.

"I..Yes, Ka Okay.... It is calm... Where is the patient now?" I did not reply to the words I love youya because I was too shocked and could not digest well when Adi said that. 

Adi let go of his embrace, "There's in the IGD..." He replied as he walked to take me, Mama and Father to IGD to see the condition of his patients. 

I also looked carefully at the patient. I had a look for a while and indeed his style was like a thug begal, it seems Adi wants to be worked on. But luckily Adi called Mama.

"I think he's runnin' Ri... Had a lot to drink. His mouth stinks of alcohol." Bisik Adi's. 

"It looks like it's from Ka's style.. That's what he was sleeping for?" I asked in a rather slow voice.

"Yes, that's it.." Adi replied while nodding.

"It's the same doctor here, isn't it?" Ask Father. 

"Udah Om's.. His family also contacted the hospital. From then on the doctor also talked to him, yes that's the situation." Answer Adi.

"That's him drinking like that. Kayak pura - pura it's her. What's your car?" Said the father while looking at the state of Adi's car.

"Oh yes this.. How then?" Said Father.

"This is waiting for his family first, I think he wants the process to the police. It was only clear from the examination that he was wrong. It's just the name of the car collision with a motorcycle, still a lost car. We are wrong..." 

"That's her family's coming.." Whisper to Mama, Mama and Adi.

I saw his family hysterical and looked for who did it. Adi with a fierce face and approached them. Father and Adi talked to their family. I just saw from a distance they were talking, it seemed like his family was a little emotional and there was also a calming because it admitted that the patient was wrong riding a speeding motorcycle, not wearing a helmet and seemed to be drunk. After finishing talking, Mr and Adi again saw the state of the car.

"Here you have a spare tire not Di?" Ask Father.

"There's Om.." Adi replied while opening the trunk of the car.

"Jaudah while you replace the tires first with spare tires, so that later it will be safe to go home." Answer Father.

"The car will be handled first in the police Om. It has to be taken to the police." 

"Oh yes, yaudah gapapa change it first in.." 

I saw Adi was busy changing the tires of the car and you helped him. I was very happy when I saw that, Mr and Adi became closer.

The time has shown the time at 5 am, after we all pray at dawn we are ready. Adi's been in contact with Aunt Ratna because Adi's not home yet. Finally Me, Mama, Mama and Adi came home with our car. Adi's car still has to be taken care of first, so it must be in a temporary stay at the Hospital. During the trip Adi was very scared.

"Ka Adi is so scared that you're just as angry as Gaek." Adi replied while holding my hand tightly. 

"Call down Ka... God is not angry." I answered while whispering.

"Later let Auntie same Om who obviouslyin to Mama same Papa yaa Di..." Sahut Mama's. 

"Thank you, Aunt... Om.." Answer Adi slowly.

"Yeah.. Slowly - slowly we will clear." Answer Father.

Arriving at Adi's house, we were waiting for Aunt Ratna and Om Budi in front of the yard. Adi's face was terrified like a child who would be angered by his parents. I feel sorry to see it. Then Mama and Dad explained it slowly until the tense atmosphere became calmer. 

"But I'm sorry, doctor, Adi should have called me or Mr. Budi not Mr. Doctor." Answer Aunt Ratna.

"Father Buu.. We'll be family later.." Answer the Father with a smile.

"Thank you, sir..." Answer Om Budi.

Me, Mom and Dad went home. After this Adi, Om Budi and Aunt Ratna take care of everything. Hopefully everything is good - fine and completed in a family manner.
