GOODBYE

GOODBYE
18. There is something different

I felt his body being shaken slowly. “Kas, wake up, Le...,” heard his grandfather's voice near the ear. The youngest woke up.

“What's up, Mbah?” he murmured while rubbing his eyes.

Ngatijo is still slitting on the next couch.

“Mbah needs to be with you. Come on, get up...,” pinta his grandfather.

I got up, sat on the edge of the bed and yawned. “What to, Mbah?” he asked again.

Bagyo mesem, “Bun, wudhu. Waiting at mushala.”

I want to ask again, but cut first by his grandfather. “Already, let's spit. Ask around there.”

Akas nodded, then walked unsteadily to the bathroom while angop several times. Mbah Bagyo went first to his prayer room.

Bakda Isya earlier, after an agreement was reached about Magelang, Akas immediately went to sleep. Tired after his afternoon slaughtering cassava. Ngatijo has already left to jump first. Now, at one in the morning, what is it? Tumben his grandfather forced him to wake up like this. So, after ablution and wearing the sarong following the skullcap, he headed for the prayer room. Mbah Bagyo sat cross-legged there. In front of him was a small furnace filled with charcoal coals.

“Assalamu'alaikum,” saya Akas.

“Wa'alaikum greetings,” sahut Bagyo. “Sit, Le...”

Akas sat cross-legged, facing his grandfather. The charcoal ember furnace, which was among them, emitted fragrant smoke after being sprinkled with some sort of powder by his grandfather. I don't know the powder, but it's definitely not frankincense. If the frankincense he knows, the smell is sharp. This other one, it smells soft. Frankly, magical feels the atmosphere will be.

Subagyo smiles at “kemagisan” the grandson....

“Ac case,” she opened the conversation. “Feel-taste, your life is pretty colorful, huh? Your father is Javanese, your mother is Chinese. Your father is Muslim, your mother is Christian, all your brothers. You are the only one who is Islamic. Now an orphan. I'm with Mbah Surti yo wis maghrib. But, God's Wrestle exists, Le. Real is, not as if,” said Bagyo, slowly but firmly.

I'm listening, it's not clear the direction of this conversation.

Bagyo opened the translation of Akas' Qur'an which was placed in this mushala. “Try reading,” the door, pointing to Fushilat's letter, paragraph 54.

I read it in my heart, “Remember, that they were in doubt about meeting with God. Remember, that He is All-Covering,” Akas sighed after reading this verse. Whatdoes thatmean?

“Understanding, Cash?” ask the grandfather.

“No,” replied his grandson.

Bagyo smiled widely. “Nothing if you don't understand now. But, you believe, right?”

Akas nodded immediately.

“Lumayan, dalil faith, hehehe.

Hearing that, Akas chuckled. Recall the lesson “iman dalil” who used to be, which is slick rather than melu-melu kebo it.

“Meeting..,” Bagyo sighing. “God says, many are doubtful about meeting with Him. Some believe it, but later he said. Later in the afterlife, if the human is dead. Gusti Allah is Sami Mawon. There used to be, now there is, then yes it remains. Same thing, wong Maha Ada.”

Akas was quick to ask, but was detained by his grandfather.

“Don't ask, free, because you don't know what it's like yet. What Mbah said is, accept first for your provision later to find the taste. Not Mbah don't want a story, but piye carane a taste story? The taste, the taste is the same again. If there is already your race, then we can taste. Understood, Cash?”

I was silent for a moment, then nodded. In the past his grandfather had discussed a little about this “rasa-rasa”.

I read it like that, in my heart, “And in fact, most of the people are completely denied the meeting with their God,” then gasp to look at the grandfather.

“Hehehe..., totally reneged, not trust round. Most of them, not the least. Well, you must not include those who really deny it, huh? Watch out, be careful..,” said Bagyo, kalem.

Akas nodded quickly. Who wants to? Does anyone want to?

“Come, jasin. Now this one,” Bagyo again pointed to the postulate of al-Qur’an. Surat al - Insyiqaaq verse 6.

Read, “Hai man, verily you must strive earnestly towards your Lord, so that you meet Him,” The youngest is bearded now. Feelings, rada-rada understand....

“We were told to try, huh? Try really. Well, like it should be. We, the human beings, are clearly commanded by the Gusti of God to go to Him. Towards Him this means knowing Him. In Arabic, makrifatullah. Don't imagine you went to Sedayu to see Father Jo first, huh? For the Gusti of God does not live somewhere. Allah is a Kamisilyhiihi, unlike anything else. Do not be confused with anything that can be imagined by reason. Never.”

And so, Akas gawked. Rada understood, what?

Laisa kamisilyhi syaa masa, wahuwas samit bashir. There is nothing like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing (QS.-Shuura 11).

“You know the difference between the Prophet's prayer and most of our prayers?” the grandfather asked again, silent for a moment.

Akas.

“Pak Ustadz hasn't had time to tell you about this?”

I looked up, then nodded. As he remembered, it was. Mr. Ustadz taught the ordinance of prayer, but never said “bedanya” with the Prophet's prayer. He even said that was the Prophet's prayer. How'this?

“There is a difference, Mbah?”

“There, hehehe. One rakaat of the Prophet's prayer is higher than a thousand rakaatnya most of us. Wh why? For the Prophet prayed with his understanding, knowing the one he worshipped. Really know, not know. That is why in the history of Isra Mi’raj, it is said that the Prophet Moses asked Kanjeng Prophet Muhammad to go up again asking for leniency over the number of fardhu prayers. In fact, when the fardhu prayer is five times away from its initial fifty times. Your people in the last days will not be able, said Prophet Musa alaihi salam. What is incapable? His ordinance? The reading and the movement? No way, it's easy just about that. Lha, you alone are now smart to perform the prayer procedure, right?”

Akas nodded.

“So, what can't afford that?”

“Eem, the understanding may be yes, Mbah?”

“Hehehe. The Prophet prayed with his makrifat. Lha, us? Boro-boro knows, wong just remember not. Most of our prayers are good, outwardly. Orderly movement, fluent reading, if necessary all use the yaqun Arabic curvature, hehehe..”.

Akas chuckled. You see Mbah Bagyo said his yaqun wear a yaqun style that jakun frontman on his neck up and down.

“Not one use yaqun earlier, please if it is so steady. But, don't just yaqun outwardly, his heart must also yaqun. Free if only outside, because prayer is a matter of affairs in.”

I also pondered....

“Already, enough first his words. Later be faith words if mostly, hehehe.... If you want to find the postulate in al-Qur’an and hadith, akeh. Many people talk about meeting Him. This meeting, do not always be looked at later. Why should it be later? Now only, wong now also exists. That's the result now. If you can, then more can. If you can't now, you don't know what you can do. Understood, Cash?”

“Again, Mbah...”.

Bagyo smiling. “Lumayan, than none, hehehe...”.

Grandson grimacing.
