Rat Trial

The atmosphere was silent for a moment. I am still amazed by the figure of Harry who is connected many hoses. I looked seriously at Knox.

“What did you do to Harry?”

“Wah, you didn't ask me about colleague— I mean ‘President of this Company’?”

I was irritated to see his arrogant-looking behavior.

“Look at you I already know the answer.”

Suddenly we heard a gun right behind us. It turned out that dozens of officers had already pointed their weapons at us. As for us reflexively take a position ready to fight at any time. Knox's face became serious then paced far in front of us. The shoes were heard from there.

“What happened to Harry? You'll see her soon. I am so grateful to you who arrived on time. Well, although a little too fast.”.

“What do you want?” lontarku growled at him.

I was surprised to hear him suddenly yelling so. The officers pulled the trigger. I avoided it, but not with Kellos. He who protected Lena was then exposed to a wave of paralysis on the right leg.

“I'll be there!” gras yelled as he ran up to her.

“Do not!” reply Kellos.

An officer aiming a gun right at Gras is about to leave. I who was fighting could only catch a glimpse of it. I wanted to tell him, but it seems too late.

“Composed!”

Ellie immediately hugged Gras and pushed him backwards.

“Sorry I didn't realize it..” said Gras felt guilty, while Ellie immediately went up and fought the officers who were around him.

Ellie's push on Gras made the bag that Gras carried thrown quite far. Gras wanted to reach him, but was blocked by the officers who were ready to shoot him. Gras looks like he can't do anything without his bag. I approached him directly.

“Stay behind me,” I said.

I fight those who keep firing waves of drowsiness. I was a little overwhelmed to avoid it.

“Return a little back, Malka!”

I followed Gras even though I didn't know what he meant. As I retreated backwards, Gras immediately threw a potion at them.

“Uhuk, uhuk!”

Strange smoke rushed out from the broken potion bottle. They do nothing but cough. I think it's a good time to attack them.

“Wait a minute! You will get the effect later too,” said Gras. I just realized that the smoke was still floating around them. Then a bright light enveloped them. I looked at the direction the light was coming from. I just remembered that this light was coming from Lena. Again the officers were put to sleep by him.

“Hah... Hah.. They are a lot...” said Lena was exhausted.

After passing through the endless waves of officers, I was finally able to catch my breath for a moment. Knox left himself in front of us. He clapped and grinned to watch us.

“I'm quite enjoying your action,” he said as he retreated slowly.

“Me... blush.. lah...” my exhalation gasps.

“Optimization of Success. Whole Project Done.”

Once again the strange sound was heard throughout the room. I turned to the left to make sure nothing bad happened. Like people panicking.

“What does it mean from ‘optimization’?” I asked Knox.

“As per the name only. You should be no stranger to this, right?”

The optimization? A raga? I did hear the word optimization a lot during my time working at this company first. Often heard when installing large tools. But this time I don't understand at all what's going on here—

Wait, it seems I've started to understand—

“K—You experimented on Harry? Your own son?” I just can't believe it.

“She also wants it.”

I really don't think about everything they do. Clearly direct experimentation on humans as guinea pigs deviates from ethics. I'm sure there are a lot of scientists out there who don't know about this experiment.

“You are curious about the results? Now it's time for you guys to make a test kit out of my invention!”

Knox pressed a button. Sire sounds and warnings. The flickering red light made the atmosphere gripping. Disinfectant smoke enveloped this room. The rattling of equipment was heard everywhere.

“Object Discharger. Complete Sterilization Flamed.”

“Have a great time with your old friend, Malka,” Knox says go with the scientists.

I am panicking with the situation now. My body was moved to find the exit. Unfortunately, all the doors were closed. We could only watch Harry rise from a distance. His body is still connected with many hoses.

“I felt the aura of a monster from him, whereas his body was the same as an ordinary human.” Leora muttered.

Slowly his figure got closer and began to be clearly seen. Suddenly Ellie closed both of my eyes.

“Why did you close my eyes?” many wonder.

“Sorry, this view is not good for children. My hand moved on its own,” she replied then lowered her hand.

“Hahaha... Long time no see, Malka..”.

“Can you get dressed first?” Gras.

“Do not worry..” He stretched out a palm, seen a round black smoke hovering above his hand. His face looked happy as he looked at the smoke, then looked at us with a sharp look and smiled.

“I'll make you see me one last time.”.

Gras threw a shock device from his catapult.

“Buzztt!”

The device disappeared instantly by the strange black smoke.

“A—What the fuck is..?” muttered Ellie dumbfounded.

He controlled the strange smoke from a distance. It seems that only his hands are moving. He looked back at his hand with a look of disbelief.

“B—Truly works.. Everything works!”

“Why are you doing all this? What's your goal?” grumbling.

“My destination? Why should I tell you?”

My anger is getting unstoppable looking at his haughty behavior with his new “streng”.

“Man's basis has no sense..!” I shouted while running to attack him.

Suddenly the thick smoke drifted quickly enveloping me. I can't see at all. “Aaarggh!” lontarku tried to remove the smoke.

“Ti—No way..” muttered Ellie.

“A—I drift?” my many. I immediately rebelled to escape Harry's restraint.

“You really want me to let go?” ask Harry.

“Do not pretentious, monster base!” Ellie ran with her wand. Instantly he was blown away by the smoke far back.

“Ellie!” shouts worry.

“Uhuk!” Blood spilled out of Ellie's mouth, but she got up and attacked Harry again. Again he was rendered helpless by the smoke.

Lena and Kellos went straight to Ellie.

“I'll cure you..” Lena said. On the other hand, Gras pelted Harry with all kinds of lubricating potions in his bag.

“God, monster!”

All the bottles he threw were instantly smashed in the air.

“I have to teach you that rough mouth lesson,” said Harry annoyed.

“Gras! Backward!” my yelling.

“Oh yes, I forgot you were still up there,” he continued looking at me. “Alright, I will release your friend,” he told Gras.

“Aaaa!”

“Bukk!”

I hit Gras really hard. My whole body is full of pain and cannot be moved. I think some of my bones are broken.

“Malka! Gras!” shout Lena.

“Now we will attack you!” violent Kellos.

“J—Do not!” exclaim Ellie in pain.

“Huh, just try,” said Harry grinning.

Kellos mounted a shield in front, and Lena widened her attack with light as she had already.

“Your attacks alone are weaker than your friends.”

Lena's running out of energy. He was just on his knees exhausted. Harry immediately launched an attack. Kellos hugged Lena.

“Eh? Have you guys reached the limit?” ask Harry. The two of them were grabbed by Harry using the smoke.

Secretly, Lena took out an invisible celestial energy from her staff.

“Aaahh! My eyes!” shouted Harry. Instantly the two of them were thrown extremely fiercely onto a pillar.

“Gedebum!”

His voice was as loud as an explosion.

“Kellos! Lena!” my yelling. They lay unconscious.

The rocks fell right in front of me. The ceiling of this room began to collapse. My eyes are getting faint. Harry's figure was like floating in the air.

“Goodbye, Rat Trial..”
