It's been five months since I met Ryne and Lydia. We flock to the building designing tools and vehicles to be used, precisely today. The five division heads took part to accompany the first tool trip, of course including myself. The plan of this tool will be taken to a predetermined point, but not Mennora. I breathed a little relieved to hear it.
Arriving at the building. Both of them look giant it has been made. I was again impressed with him. It has a modern and unsightly design. Something very new in my eyes. The vehicle came to pick up the tools in the building next door. I was more and more amazed, seeing the vehicle actually hovering above the road. Then with a giant crane, the tool is raised to the top of the vehicle.
The five of us watched it together.
“It is not wrong I chose you guys,” said Knox proudly. We smiled at him.
“This is our first step to a bigger plan going forward.”. He stared at the big device. Then he paid first because there was business.
“Oh yes, the tower is finished?” my many.
“Certainly already,” Cathy replied.
Various escorts were deployed to secure the situation around the vehicle. The discovery certainly attracted a lot of attention. Crowds filled the sidewalk just to see it. Media all over the continent covered it as well. Looks like today is a big day.
“You've ensured all the security?” I asked Lydia.
“Be like the chairman only,” reply.
“I am indeed the person in charge of this task.” I feel annoyed at him.
“Alright, alright. Security on all lanes is safely under control, at least for now.”
“For now?” I didn't catch his last words.
“Yes, we don't know what will happen later.” He and I stared at each other hot.
“Hey, you little boys. Don't fight here. Huft... This is why I am upset with children.” Pappous said.
“I don't understand your line of thought. You said you like young people,” Cathy chirped.
“They are still small children, not young.” Cathy was confused by that statement. While Ryne was just being calm watching the two of us.
“Look at you, Beautiful Miss. You're young, but you look grown up. It's just that I hate your temperament a little bit. A little bit upset, angry, so on.”
“Who is not upset to see you, Old Man?”
There's been an angry tussle between me and Lydia, and Cathy and Pappous. Ryne finally made a sound. He didn't want us to look embarrassing in front of a lot of people.
“It's the four of you. Take care of your authority.” In the end we regained our composure, although there was still some annoyance left.
“What weapons did you make for this, Little Boy?” ask Pappous. Lydia was upset to hear it. “Who did you say little boy?” With his finger, Pappous pointed his head to Lydia's feet. He became furious, his face seemed to be unable to stand it.
“It's a good thing I still have a sense of courtesy with you, Grandpa.”
While showing the weapon, Lydia explained the weapon she created with her team. A weapon is like a rifle, but with a larger size. But strangely I didn't see a place to put bullets. Then he said that the bullets needed were not like the metal bullets we used to see. Like the other division inventions, this weapon also used celestial energy.
“Then, flanked by that sky energy?” cetus Pappus.
“Listen first when people talk,” reply Lydia.
A bullet that cannot be seen with the naked eye, that is the energy of the sky. The advantage is that we can manage the usefulness of this weapon, either just to incapacitate or even kill. The drawback, can be the deadliest weapon in the wrong hands. The energy is compressed according to the desired pressure.
“Isn't it the same as saturated energy as tools made by Mr Pappous?” my many.
“Rightly similar like that,” he replied.
“Lantas, instead it will look like its form?” my continue. Pappous then answered my question.
“Wait, wait. So all this time you thought sky energy was like clouds?” I just nodded in confusion. They both patted the eel after hearing me.
“So they're invisible?”
“Of course.”
“Means that weapon has nuclear equivalent bullets? It could explode too, right?”
“Different from that giant tool. These bullets are compressed, so they're organized. Unlike saturated energy which is very unstable and can explode at any time,” explains Lydia. I finally found a bright spot about the sky energy that I had been questioning a lot. One by one they began to answer.
After the vehicles began to enter the city, we split up to each other's positions. Pappous rechecked the device, Ryne inspected the steering wheel, Cathy was in front of it to confirm the route, while I followed Lydia who was in the escort.
I was a little intrigued to see him holding the weapon. Its size does not seem comparable to its body. But at first glance looks handsome with that item. I want to try it too.
“Alright, but don't pull the lever.” I also looked at the weapon in my hand. “It can kill people?”
“I set it to disable it.”
“Can I try it?” my door.
“You're very curious, huh? Like teenagers looking for identity.”
“We're the same age, it looks like it happened to you too,” I reply.
Lydia called one of the bodyguards to be my guinea pig. It looks selfish and cruel, but my curiosity is unstoppable. Fortunately, that person was willing to accept my request. Lydia taught me to tune that bullet.
“Change into this, you will only immobilize one part of the body for one minute.” Then he taught me how to hold it. But I don't know why I feel like he's getting too close.
“Your hand should be like this, this one is like this. Sip, already.”
“Too close...” I still wonder why women like Ellie and Lydia don't feel uncomfortable when they're so close to the opposite sex. I don't know, or maybe it's just my feelings that are excessive.
“Please give a cue whenever you want.”
“Alright, after the count of three. I pointed it to your hand.”
I took a swing, while the man prepared himself.
“You ready?”
“Ready, Sir.”
I firedit. It really doesn't look anything. I even thought I was just pulling a lever without a bullet. I don't feel any pushback or recoil. Although I myself have never used a circulating weapon, but the sensation is somewhat different from what I have seen
preceding.
That person's hand trembled stiffly just a split second after I pulled the lever. Like using magic. I asked him to move that hand, but he couldn't.
“Does this weapon have side effects?”
“So far there is no. Take it easy, the results of temporary medicine if the decay you shoot it only gives a shock effect on the nerves.”
The man seemed worried as he listened to us.
“Your hand is fine. Just like when your hands are cramped.”
“Then won't it impact the brain?”
“Entah, strangely did not have any impact from that study,” he replied.
A moment passed, the person's hand could be moved back. He said he felt nothing. In an instant it could already move normally without any aching effects.
“Thank God then. Maybe this weapon can be used by the police.”
“I'm still worried that the weapon was mass produced,”.
“I also thought so at first,” reply. Lydia allowed the man to return to his position.
“Siap, carry out!”
“General Lydia Aralle, looking good,” my thoughts. Suddenly I was reminded of a question that had been forgotten. “Oh yes, means you have a military background?”
He shook his head. “I'm from school, just like you. I also follow martial arts, often using weapons.”
“Eh? You mean like knives, sticks, and stuff, right?”
“Fire weapon.” I was shocked to hear it and then fell silent.
“My father is a military.”
“Sip, it answers everything,” reply me.
He could shorten it by saying only his last words.
