The next day was our first day at work. As usual, I started to leave when the sun had just risen. In tidy clothes I walked along the corridor to my study.

My first job was to create research files for the place where the tower would be built. The results of previous research and observations have been done by another Knox company. After all the files and permits are completed, me and the team will be directly inspected to the place. It looks like everything will be ready next week.

On this first day I should have been introduced to my assistant. But he hasn't come yet. Waiting for him to do my job. There are fourteen places that the tower will be built. The tower is intended as a power and energy plant. Knox believed it to be celestial energy.

After an hour, someone suddenly knocked on the door from my room. I told him to come in. I still don't know who will help me become my assistant.

The door opened slowly and his figure began to be seen.

“Jack? What's the matter with you here?” many confused.

“I am now your assistant,” she replied.

I was surprised to hear it. It turned out that my best friend was my assistant. The first thing we did was talk. I asked him what Knox asked in the interview. Apparently, that question is no different than the one Knox asked me.

“What should I do, Sir?” ask Jack.

I was a little surprised and wondered why I called him that.

“Since when did you call me ‘Pak’?

“Alright, Sir,” he said with a smile holding back laughter.

I could only pat my head and shake my head.

Then I gave him a job to help me. I told him to call the head of research of this big project. He also retrieved the file that had just arrived.

“There are only three places, all three cities,” Jack said as he read the file he held.

“OK. Then the rest?” my many.

“Lusa, five days, and last a week. In total there are four times the file delivery,” he replied.

“Alright, pass the file to Section Head.”

Before long he left the room I also went out to monitor. Sometimes I talk to them too. Many of them are older than me. During the lunch break I also shared my experience with some of my subordinates.

Then the days run as usual until the day before the inspection.

“All of?” ask me while tidying up the letters.

“Already. There are fourteen places, among which ten cities and the rest are villages,” he replied.

“Note the four villages.”

“Belhinju, Calomal, Tribey, and Mennora,” call Jack.

“Wait. You call Mennora?” I just don't believe it.

Jack took the research papers in the village of Mennora and read them.

“Is there no other place that has a percentage not far from it?”

“In the meantime, I will look for it from the data on the computer,” replied Jack and gave the file fourteen places it then he faced the computer screen.

I read the files waiting for Jack to find a place other than Mennora.

“Meet. Suthmein, 84.31 percent.”

“Away the difference. All cities and villages on the planet have been researched?” I was a little panicked.

“Say they are so. This village is located south of Metlehein.”

I saw the computer screen on Jack's desk. After I saw everything it turned out that there was only this village that had a percentage above eighty percent. The rest is below that.

I'm trying to keep my birthplace from being exploited.

“Replace the Mennora file with the other one. Put it in an envelope,” I said.

“I'll call the company next door.”

I told the Research Chair not to tell anyone even if Mennora could be removed from the research data.

Then I hung up. Jack took me and asked.

“Are you sure you'll be okay?” ask Jack.

“Hopefully,” replied.

There will soon be a meeting for inspection tomorrow. I prepared all the papers and letters to report to Knox. After everything was ready I left Jack still busy staring at his computer screen in my room.

I was with the Division Heads in the meeting room a few minutes before the meeting started. Knox wasn't in the room yet. I drafted all the papers and letters that would be reported and given to him. At the meeting this time the thing that will be discussed is about the planning of the construction of the tower and the inspection tomorrow. Surprisingly, there was a chair next to Knox's seat.

A few minutes later Knox entered the room. Everyone stood up then sat back down after Knox sat down first. Knox then opened the meeting.

“Good afternoon in the afternoon. The meeting this time was as I had informed before. Please to brother Malka to explain.”

I explained everything I had prepared. I mentioned all the places in this project. Except for the village of Mennora whose files I kept in my room and replaced with the village of Suthmein. But Knox started to get suspicious when I mentioned the village.

“Pardon in advance, after further research it turns out there are only thirteen places. That's what I got from the data sent” I answered a little nervously and tried to calm down.

Instantly the atmosphere became silent. Knox was still looking at the file with the finger of his right hand rubbing his chin. All the Division Heads were staring at me. While I was still trying to stay calm while checking the other files.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door. Knox let in. Looks a handsome young man with an ideal body and dashing. His muscles and curves look perfect. To the extent that Cathy melted seeing it. The man sat next to Knox. Knox then introduced the man.

“Include him is my son. Harry Knox's. Vice President of the Company. He just got home from Metlehein after finding some fresh air in his childhood place.”

I was surprised to hear that.

“Call me Harry. Sorry to be late,” said Harry smiled and slightly nodded kindly to all of us.

We all confine ourselves to him. Harry was very friendly and easy to talk to. But I saw him carrying a piece of paper in his hand. Before the meeting resumed, Harry gave the piece of paper to his father while whispering to him. We could all just look at it in confusion.

Knox read the piece of paper.

“Just now Harry got information from the researchers that the fourteenth place was a village called Mennora, amounting to 93.74 percent.”

I was surprised to hear it. Thankfully, no one saw my reaction. Everyone was still watching Knox. But not for Harry. I guess he noticed me. When I put my eyes on him. He just smiled grinning. I just fell silent.

“All the places I mentioned were cleared and Metlehein was replaced with Mennora. Fourteen teams are already set up for inspection tomorrow. Malka, you can follow one of those teams with your assistant. For the other Division Heads keep working as usual.”

Then Knox closed the meeting today.

“Meetings today I closed. So-called.”

The day has begun to evening. It's time to go home soon. I went back to my room with Harry whose room was in my direction. As we set foot, we talked to each other. But there was a question I asked him.

“How did you get that file?” manya curious.

“Entahlah. Suddenly there was a sheet given to me before I entered the meeting room.” he replied.

“Why? Something wrong?” harry asked confused.

“No. Its alright. Forget it,” I replied.

He asked me again.

“You've lived in Mennora?”

“Iya. My birthplace. My childhood was spent a lot in that village.”

My room is right in front of me. I parted with Harry. Before I entered the room, I saw Harry's steps towards the room. Looks handsome and full of authority. Many people were amazed by him.

I opened the door, Jack was still staring at the screen. Today's work is almost done. I checked the desk shelf and Mennora's file was still there. I was still confused as to how he got it, whereas I had already told the Research Chair not to divulge it to anyone.

My head became dizzy and I scratched my head while preparing to go home.

“What's up, Mal?” ask Jack and calm me down.

“Nothing. Tomorrow I'm going to inspect Mennora. You come with me,” I replied.

“OK,” reply.

"Wait, he wasn't surprised? Does that mean he knows?" mind wondering.

I went home to my house and prepared all the preparations for tomorrow's inspection. Tonight I went to bed earlier than usual so I wouldn't wake up.
