DESTINY GIRL

DESTINY GIRL
91. Overnight in Ogara

" That's right Grandma, no palace occupants survived. The black witch sucked her blood. The devil possessed his body to be used as a container. The townspeople were also victims, especially babies and vagabonds "

The grandmother cried without a sound. Rey rubbed his back.

" Is the devil like black smoke ? "

" Have you ever seen her ? "

" Yes, on the edge of the Blackburn Forest. I was collecting twigs for firewood. I was forced to burn the branches until a hunter helped me drive the demon away "

" How did grandma know how to prevent that demon from approaching grandma ? " ask Rey to know.

" I thought it was a wolf. So I lit a fire "

Rey looked at each other with Asgar. Why didn't Destraco directly attack this granny ? Wasn't yesterday he able to break through the fire while in the palace ?

Then the grandmother got up and lit a torch outside the door. He saw the horses resting quietly (Rey had already cast a protective spell), then entered again and closed the door.

" Where are you really going ? " sanyanya.

Rey looked at Asgar.

" We're looking for our brother in a neighboring country. It's been a year that he hasn't returned "Asgar replied.

" You may not survive if you go through the forest "the grandmother was worried.

" But that's the only way "Rey said.

The grandmother shook sadly. Then he stood up.

" I'll catch some fireflies for you. At least it can light your way "

" No need, grandma "

Rey stood there holding him. Then he stretched out his clenched hand like he was grasping something. Grandma furrowed her brows. He opened it slowly. A small ball of light dazzled his eyes. The grandmother was flabbergasted and took a step back, then realized the room was as bright as day.

" Waaa.....! "

The grandmother then looked at Rey about to ask, but she was more surprised when she saw Rey's forehead also glowing.

" You..........The girl of fate ? " he asked in disbelief.

Rey nodded with a smile.

Soon the grandmother prostrated herself in front of Rey. Rey pulled him back to his feet.

" I'm sorry I didn't realize who you were" said the grandmother apologizing.

" Mrma has nothing wrong. Wake up. Think of me as a commoner "

Rey gives Asgar the ball of light and tells him to light every torch in front of the house. He himself went out to put the horses into the space ring .

They slept quietly tonight. But not with Destraco in the middle of the Blackburn forest. He felt a magician aura at a glance. It's immediately searched all over the forest. He had to get it to speed up his recovery. While in the palace he always got the source of power from other witches. They inevitably have to take turns bringing baby blood or donating strength to it. But since Rey had burned the witches, she now had to find her herself.

Not finding what he was looking for, Destraco drifted out of the forest, approaching the village of Ogara. But he was stunned to see the village was lit by torches.

" What is this, why are they lighting torches ? " he growled furiously.

With recklessness he approached from the back side of the houses. He peeked at every part of their house that was always lit by candles. The sound of the crying of the children who were afraid. However, they remain safe as long as there is light or fire.

Rey felt a dark aura approaching. He had removed his aura from the time of dinner together, but remained vigilant. Half of her hair she covered it on her cheek. His eyes pretended to be closed. He's worried that Destraco recognising her here would harm the grandmother. Likewise, he telepathized Asgar to cover his face .

About the count of 20, Destraco passed. Rey breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed like Destraco's strength was still not fully recovered.

The morning came, the citizens were talking about the torches burning in front of each house. They don't know who turned it on last night. The grandmother explained it. They were astonished and a little incredulous, instead expecting Grandma to digress out of loneliness.

Grandma doesn't care if they believe it or not. He went to the back garden to pick up vegetables for breakfast.

Rey and Asgar wake up when they smell the smell of cooking. Rey back to wash her face. Suddenly Asgar attacked him.

" Eeeh Asgaaaar's........ ! i'm duluaaaan....... "

Rey banged on the door.

" I'm sorry Miss... You're late..... "

" iiish......... " Rey scratched the door in annoyance.

" Women with long baths, I'd better go first "and then sound water flush.

" iii.hh....... ! Rey's mouth is like a little trumpet. Grandma chuckled at the commotion from the kitchen.

Rey sat down at the kitchen table. Grandma gave him a jar of cookies. Just ate one, Asgar's hand reached out to his ears.

" Bath first Miss Cantiiiik....... "

" Aaaaah....... Asgaaa..........! "

" he.he..... " Asgar let go of his hand.

Rey is getting monstrous, but goes to the bathroom as well.

Grandma and Asgar chat while waiting for Rey to finish her bath and join in. In between meals, the grandmother asked again about their purpose. Rey immediately remembered the words of the old man who had met them.

" Granny... does grandma know when the solar eclipse ? " ask Rey.

" Uhuk-uhuk.... ! "

Moments of grandmother choking on a drink. Rey patted his back. Grandma took a deep breath.

" If not wrong, a week ago there was a hermit said if the position of the moon of bad luck is in the upper middle then it is a sign that there will be a solar eclipse. We had to light a torch immediately and hide at home if we wanted to survive. Because at that time all kinds of demons and evil spirits were very strong.

Some days this month looks bad. But it has not reached the top point "

Rey looked at Asgar. They must quickly find Destraco. Rey bit her lip. He felt a little anxious, however. Asgar took a breath.

" We can do it, Miss. Believe in everyone's hope. They're the breath of our lives "

Rey nodded and smiled. Grandma laid her hands on Rey and Asgar.

" I believe you will return safely "

They smile together.

Rey and Asgar set off. Grandma brought pie for lunch. Rey kept it in the ring room and took out the horses. Then wave your hand.

When it reached the edge of the forest, the atmosphere was very quiet. No birdsong. Rey heard the steps approaching. He could not be sure because he did not feel his aura. His hand held Asgar's arm so that Asgar could feel his tension.

At about the count of 10, something approached. It wasn't human, it looked like it was crawling, its muzzle was long. Rey looked more closely. Could it...

" Wolf.... ! " Asgar hissing.

His hand immediately pulled out a silver sword. He pulled Rey a little backwards.
