4. Kendrick Aztradeo

By late afternoon Rey reached an open area around Darkwish Lake. He approached slowly then sat down on the grass. His eyes looked at the lake and its quiet surroundings. The wind blew slowly, shaking the plants around him. Rey muttered as she looked towards the lake. He felt that something was tempting his heart to get closer to the lake.

Rey finally got up and took off her worn-out shoes. He was going to take a shower before dark. Slowly his feet touched the lake water.

" Hmmm ".

Rey kept moving to a deeper place. But something caught his attention. A few meters in front of him the water was a little turbulent. He frowned, thinking if it was a fish or a beast ?

But a head emerged from the water, revealing the handsome face he had seen a few hours ago. Whether in dreams or illusions. And Rey grew increasingly widened when the figure of the man approached her, revealing almost all of his tall body firmly in front of Rey.

Rey looked up at the man. Then suddenly the man hugged her and said

" I miss you Rey ".

" Uh..... ! You who ? And why hugged me ? Release ! "

Rey began to rebel and hit the man on the shoulder to take him off. But of course Rey's energy is not comparable to that man. His sturdy hand restrained Rey's chin before his lips slowly dipped. Rey was stunned, her eyes looking into the man's eyes. His soul seemed to be drowning within those dark black eyeballs.

Then as her eyes blinked Rey realized she was back in the same room when she experienced a strange incident earlier this afternoon. The man let go of his embrace and said

" Battle, then meet me in the dining room. The waiter will take care of your needs and help you get ready " .

Then the man came out while closing the door.

Rey stood still with her mouth open. He is still trying to understand what is going on. Before long the door opened and a few servants entered. One of the servants approached him.

" Miss, let's clean up immediately " .

" ........ "

The waiter touched Rey's hand to wake her from the daydream.

" Miss ...... "

" Oh..... Ehmmm..... Who are you ? "

" My name is Alice, Miss . Lord Kendrick assigned me to serve Miss "

" LORD KENDRICK AZTRADEO, LORD OF AZTRACO ".

Rey recalled her grandmother telling her about AZTRACO (Shadow World) when she was a child. But Rey thought it was just an imaginary story....

" Miss, come ...... "

" Oh.. yeah, sorry "

Rey grimaced a little because she was found daydreaming again. He went into the bathroom, followed by Alice.

Soon Rey finishes the bath and Alice helps her get ready. After that Alice took him to the dining room, where the ruler was waiting at the dining table. Alice lets Rey sit down and then stands by the side of the room with the other servants.

Rey sat down with a clumsy feeling. He didn't know what to call this guy.

" Eat.... After that rest. I still have things to do after eating " .

Rey could only nod while biting her lips. He was nervous to be noticed by anyone in the room. Kendrick smiled at me looking at Rey's behavior. They ate dinner in silence.

After eating dessert, Kendrick picked up his glass of wine and placed it near Rey's plate. Rey took it and drank it immediately.

" Uhuk...... " Alice quickly approached and patted Rey on the back . His hand took out a glass filled with ordinary water then extended it to Rey.

" What is that drink ? " rey's voice sounded hoarse and his face flushed slightly.

" It's from wine, you've never drank it ? " ask Kendrick a little smile.

Rey simply shook her head slowly while still looking towards the Wine glass. Kendrick took and drank the rest of the wine. Rey and Alice glared in disbelief at the sight. Then Kendrick stood up .

" I'll continue my business, you rest. Alice please take Rey to the room ".

"Okay, My Lord, let's Miss... "
