63. Luminous Bracelet

After dinner Alice meets Rey, saying she will spend time with Asgar. Rey nodded. Then standing by the window looking at the night, the stars scattered. Rey frowned. He remembered his grandmother once told him about a glowing stone, a stone that always keeps light when it is bright and emits light when it is dark.

Rey felt the presence of someone, quickly turning her body. Kendrick was standing in front of him staring at him.

" Kendrick.... Can you take me to Grandma Flo's house ? I have something to look for there "ask Rey.

Kendrick approached and hugged her without a word. A second later they were in front of an unkempt house. Rey walks in and searches for something in Flo's grandmother's room.

" What are you looking for ? " ask Kendrick.

" I'm looking for grandma's glowing bracelet "Rey replied as she looked down at the bed.

Kendrick looked up. It was Queen Lovely's light bracelet that she gave Flo's grandmother to Rey. But because Rey was a kid, so surely the bracelet was too big. Grandma Flo hung it above as a room light.

Rey stood up and followed Kendrick's gaze.

" Why didn't I realize it from earlier ? " Rey patted her own head when she realized her stupidity.

Kendrick kneels on one leg while bowing his head.
