The Tormenting Lie

The lie I committed inflicted a wound on the man I loved so much, and tormented me during my life.

Flashback.

"Yes.. Renata Octalia.. I loved you long before you knew me.

I've loved you so much long before I expressed my love for you on that rainy night" Fabian said unequivocally without lying in it.

In the end Fabian tells the dark story of his life to Renata. How can two women bond a lie with him.

Renata shed her body and cried loudly there. On the floor of his house.

"I have indeed committed Renata's great lie. The lie I did was unforgivable but one thing is certain that I do love you, love you very much" Fabian said.

"Do you know what I did first after Renata woke up? I found out who the father of the baby Lea was carrying. I swear on behalf of God and by my son Celia I'm not the father of that baby. I'm not a good man, but I'm not a demon taking advantage of a woman like Lea.  But it was not difficult to find it, because someone always came every day to visit Lea's tomb with flowers. After learning Lea died," Fabian said coldly.

"Wait here, I'll be back" Fabian said as he walked up each step of the stairs to his room.

Renata got up and then sat on a chair not far from where he sat with his head bowed above his hands.

Fabian came back with a few brown envelopes in his hand.

"Open up" Fabian ordered in a cold tone.

With trembling hands Renata opened one by one the envelope containing several sheets of paper.

"You know Renata ? At that time I was on an official trip with Sakti also hendrik to Semarang. Bringing all these brown envelopes before your parents, and I bowed down to beg their forgiveness for hurting you. But I'm surprised they don't know anything, it turns out you've sealed your husband's disgrace. Thank you, I really appreciate it" Fabian said earnestly.

Renata did not respond to himself too busy berjibaku with the paper in front of him.

One brown envelope contains the medical records of Lea who did have schizophrenia, in it detailing the medical activities that Lea has been doing for approximately 8 years.

Another envelope describes the psychiatric therapy Fabian had done while going through the darkest period of his life.

And a statement under which there is a stamp signed with a family lawyer, om Johan.

The letter stated that Bima's doctor was the biological father of the baby that Lea was born with.

Renata began to shed her tears again. He was too confused by everything that happened. He was like a dazed man.

"I'm sorry for hiding so much of Renata's lie" Fabian pleaded.

"Even my parents were not aware of the matter, I only opened up to Sakti when it came out of my coma to help me figure out who the father of the baby Lea was carrying. Sakti was so angry and disappointed that I had been lying to her all this time,"

"I'm sorry, this way you have to know everything. I'm sorry if the lie I've done has hurt you so much. As long as you know Renata, I'm so tormented to live it, too,"

Renata still silently did not answer no response. He still felt like he was floating in the air, trying to digest everything that was happening.

"If the accident didn't happen would you keep hiding Bi ?" Renata asked between her sobs.

Fabian was silent for quite a while before finally answering.

"Have many parties that I lied here Renata, it is not easy for me to reveal all, even to speak honestly to my parents I have not done until now, I have not done so, but trust me I always find the right time to tell you, even though my fear is greater than my courage." replied Fabian Frustrated.

"Have you ever loved that woman Bi ?"

"I feel sorry for him. I felt I had to take responsibility and help her after the bad I had done to her, there was no way I would have left her in such a state even though in the end this tragedy happened and caused Leah's departure for good,"  answered Fabian lirih.

"I love you so much that this crazy path I take. Without thinking of anything bad this would happen" Fabian said in a trembling tone.

"What you did cannot be justified Bi, even though it would be painful for me you should be honest from the beginning. Not like this," cried Renata with tears streaming down.

Fabian sat down on the floor with his knees as his pedestal pleaded and groaned at Renata

"I know baby, I'm sorry... I couldn't leave Lea then, but I couldn't stem my love for you either. Almost 2 years I love you in silence Re" Fabian said, clutching Renata's hands.

"Please baby, I'm sorry... Give me one last chance to improve, we start from scratch baby without any secrets,"

"What has happened has made my feelings change Bi," she wrote in between her sobs.

"I beg you not to say that baby, please... Please don't. I can't without you Renata" Fabian continued to plead.

"Bi, give me some time... I think we need time to ourselves, to think clearly and introspect each other,"

"I'm wrong baby, I'm wrong ! You are the most perfect woman in my life. I am guilty... Please forgive me" Fabian said.

"Let me love you like Re used to, let me pour out my love like I used to,"

"Give me Bi time to think things through, give me time to be alone" Renata said.

Fabian rubbed Renata's tears with his thumb, his eyes looking at Renata lovingly as he always did.

"Okay baby, let's think and introspect each other. Although it is clear in this matter that I am very guilty, use as much time as possible for yourself to think because I will be patient waiting" said Fabian regretfully.

"I'm sorry for all my lies, honey.."

Lirih Fabian with his head down dyed the back of Renata's hand that had been soaked by her tears.
