Biohazard's Catastrophe: Death's Hallway
The Lost, the Dead

Ardana glanced at his watch. I don't think time has shown the number four in the morning. For a long time they were trapped underground in the Sirnasurya Forest, in a place full of unimaginable horrors. Both knees are starting to feel weak. He needs rest. But I feel like I want to get out of there as soon as possible.

The road they crossed was a transit route with a wider width but a lower ceiling about six meters up. On the left and right sides of the floor there is a long dotted line that snaps forward. It appears to be used as an access in and out of vehicles. More clearly marked by the existence of two to three units of Jeep Willys that were left just like that in a state of scattering to cover part of the width of the lane.

“I want to check one by one. There may still be leftover fuel,” Ardana said as she took off her backpack and put all three weapons just under her feet.

Paramitha frowns, “How come? Everything's been neglected for years, Dan.”

Without hesitation Ardana approached the nearest Jeep car while glancing at the dashboard. “Who knows, Neng? If there is still a little left I can take and then I move it to one of the Jeeps that works best.”

Paramitha was flabbergasted and thoughtlessly saw that. Four seconds later he breathed. Ardana finally jumped into the driver's seat as if without any weight. Instantly, there was also the sound of iron crackling violently as his buttocks stomped over the layer of foam wrapped in black artificial skin. It was clear enough for Paramitha to know the vehicle was no longer steering-worthy. It's time to get old iron.

Acting like a specialist car thief, Ardana ransacked the entire dashboard and the entire front seat carefully. There really isn't a single gap that has been missed. Actually he was looking for a car key which he thought was likely stored in one of the hidden parts. But after three minutes there was no result.

“I need a key. Where's the key?” said repeatedly.

Paramitha was still standing pecking not far from the Jeep, noticing her lover was confused and strange. Even so he still let Ardana who continued the search to the passenger seat row. It was not until a minute later that the young man came down from the Jeep with a clear face.

“No car keys,” grumbled Ardana while scratching the elbow of his left hand which began to itch.

“What do you want in the car anyway, Dan? The key could have fallen somewhere and away from here.” Paramitha began to carelessly look at Ardana's behavior. The straight-haired girl with the bangs sideways to the left was holding the young man's shoulder.

Faizar did not try to get rid of Paramitha's hand. She looked at her lover with slightly pursed lips.

“If there is anything that can be used, we will go out without having to walk this way. Both my legs have started to hurt a little.”

“You... duh, even more spoiled than me.”.

“Bu—not so! That's not what I mean, Neng,” Ardana rebut fast. He put his backpack and all his long barrel guns in the passenger seat of a Jeep Willys car near them. “Can we stop for a moment to try to contact Mr Ilham?”

Paramitha did not answer. His left hand tidied up a few strands of hair blocking the corner of his right eyelid, while thinking hard considering the proposal from Ardana.

“Ya. We stop here first,” he said.

After receiving approval from Paramitha, Ardana immediately sat on the smooth asphalt of the track while leaning on the left side of the car. The communication device in his left ear was switched on. But what was heard again was a rustling sound. Harder than before.

Ardana repeatedly pressed the frequency switch button while grimacing occasionally. His ears are not adaptive enough to receive very disturbing sounds.

“Still can't,” he said lethargic, “and keep rustling, instead so louder heard.”

“Then we continue the journey ahead there,” Paramitha said.

“Good.”

Ardana rushed back to his feet and took his backpack and all his weapons. Before proceeding, all lighting devices such as flashlights and others are re-examined to ensure they remain functional for the next few hours. The absence of a backup battery anywhere forced Ardana to turn on and turn off the flashlight in a few minutes. The advanced tactical glasses it has don't help much if it requires two people to run for their lives inside a dark place.

“Tetap docked with me,” the message while glancing at Paramitha.

The big vault door was opened slowly by Didin and his three men. The inspiration that stood not far from the Kopassus personnel was just silent while watching how they worked. In front of them is now seen a smaller and straight, armored passageway that looks solid from floor to ceiling. Although not surprised, the five of them did not imagine there was a secret street on the second floor of the monitoring building that became one with the basement wall.

“Adit, Ricky... check!” didin's orders.

Two warriors named after him took turns to the secret passage. They move quietly with the weapon pointed forward and the index finger attached to the trigger. Somewhat far away at the end, another wide-open door was waiting. Adit who stood at the front clenched his hands and then lifted up on his head. Ricky stopped while looking back.

Carefully Adit advanced alone to be restrained a few steps from the door in question. Behind it there is a room but it cannot be ascertained what is in there. The bright red lights occasionally strengthen and then fade back. Only the room was still flowed by a list that had no source from where.

Adit turned his head for a moment at Ricky then nodded. “Tell others.”

“There is a room with electricity still on there. The light color is red and not good enough the light intensity.”

Ilham and Didin and Freddy looked at each other.

“We check, Sir?” Didin asked for an opinion of Ilham.

Inspiration nodded steadily at the three of them. “Yes, make sure nothing will trouble us later,”.

Without saying any more, Didin and his two men caught up with Adit who was still standing near the door of the secret room. This time the lieutenant who took the first turn to enter followed by Ilham and other Kopassus personnel. His movements that were too fast set himself apart a little far ahead of them. He almost left Ilham and the others behind.

What they found there was never imagined at all. The exact room where the terrible slaughterhouse was filled with dried up corpses and blood. The number cannot be clearly calculated because it coincides above and among the dozens of wheeled iron beds scattered. Not to mention that there is between the braids of chains that are hung on the ceiling of the room. Some are no longer fully human.

Just like Inspiration, Didin and the others were only stunned with their mouths tightly closed. There was nothing they could describe with words about the scene that made the feathers goosebumps before the eyes.

“They are all... are those who are here the missing victims in Sirnasurya Forest?” hisses of Inspiration trembled slightly, between believing and disbelief.

Some nights spent with Odang the village chief, menekuni file report missing people up to five hundred more with the hope among them there are still alive and can be found. But his discovery in the secret underground chamber of the Sirnasurya Forest immediately shattered his beliefs and hopes. The heart of this short-haired middle-aged man was bitter and poignant when he found that there were several bodies of small children lying there. A moment later his face was slightly bowed with eyes that remained open. His gaze was empty.

“Pak? You okay?” Didin touched the shoulder of Inspiration politely.

Ilham nodded. A second later came the idea in his mind to examine all the human corpses that existed. “I'm fine. Just a little claustrophobic because my expectations are opposite to what is in front of us this,” he replied.

“If you don't mind, I want all the bodies in this room checked one by one, if there is a self-identity or relics that can be found,”.

“Ready, Sir!” didin said firmly with low voice intonation.

This Lieutenant Kopassus nodded at his three men. The four of them began to perform their duties according to the command of Inspiration. Although constrained by the condition of some bodies whose meat begins to melt, as much as possible there must be an identity card or relics obtained. Just walking for a few minutes, they had already obtained over twenty identification cards and membership of a particular organization.

At the same time, a small child with a normal-looking body walked up to Didin and his three men. Wearing a dull collared T-shirt and bloodstained shorts, she walked downstairs while moaning weakly over and over again. Suddenly, Didin and Adit who happened to be close together turned towards the little boy.

“Little boy?” Adit frowned while still holding his gun.

Ricky and Freddy's attention is also distracted by the arrival of the little boy who is out of nowhere. The two who did not immediately believe also pointed a weapon.

Didin tried to prevent his three men from opening fire. “Hei, wait! Don't be rash to shoot!”

Adit and his two colleagues held back very forcefully. The three of them remained staring intently at the little boy in front of them. The inspiration that watched the four of them arguing for a moment finally approached curiously.

“Hold your shots!” yells.

RATATATS!

Unfortunately, Adit accidentally pulls the trigger of his assault rifle that is being set to burst fire mode. Three bullets were lodged in the child's cranium, which then fell backward. The skull of his head was instantly partially destroyed.

“Adit! Are you crazy?! What if he's one of the survivors?!” Didin glared sharply at the now flabbergasted Adit.

Adit who did not expect his accident to be fatal immediately silenced. He just stared back at Didin with a frozen face.

“Din! His little boy, Din!” ricky exclaimed, surprising the two of them.

The little boy who was accidentally shot by Adit is now back on his feet as if nothing happened. With a smashed head and face he could still grin, showing off a mouth that was torn wide towards the two sides of his cheeks that were bathed in fresh blood.

Encouraged by each other's instincts, Freddy and Ricky instantly dodge. Not so with Didin and Adit who are still stuck between shocked and stunned.

“You two step aside now.!” shouts Inspiration while pulling Didin and Adit.
