Ardana doesn't believe she's really doing what Paramitha wants. Look at the stars in the clear night sky. But that's not where the problem lies. The location chosen by the Catranata girl made her think a dozen times before agreeing. Coupled with his insistence, making Ardana surrender and must prepare to maintain security more swiftly again.
Paramitha wanted to be accompanied by a star on the edge of the highway that separates Cikembang Village with Sirnasurya Forest, precisely near the south gate. It was the path they used when they witnessed the discovery of the corpse hanging on the tree . If Ilham knew, he would have been completely disfigured.
There was an alot negotiation. Paramitha will still walk there even without him. Ardana again succumbs to Paramitha's growing anger, and focuses his hopes on a Glock 41 pistol hidden behind his jacket. The weapon will be very useful if later requests Paramitha even troublesome it to cause big problems.
Along the road leading to the south gate there are still many people passing by with various needs. But no one came from where they were going. Based on the information that Ardana heard, the southern gate is the most deserted area and shunned by residents when night falls. Surely they avoided the Sirnasurya Forest which was only a few steps away. The only separator is the non-restricted inter-desa connecting highway.
“You sure you want to go there?” ask Ardana to make sure.
“Yakinu. You don't need to worry, I will keep this a secret from Mr. Ilham,” Paramitha replied with complete confidence.
Ardana hopes Paramitha keeps his word. Because if he gets caught, he will be considered to endanger the girl's safety. As far as his eyes swept around the situation there was indeed no one who saw them going towards the southern archway. Their position now crosses an open space dominated by community-owned plantations. In the distance on the left and right appear some houses that are quite close together. The occupants are sure to have locked themselves inside.
If you can be honest, Ardana prefers that the two of them visit the rest of the Catranata family mansion and the graves of the two girls' parents. But she is afraid that it will shake her soul, because Nina secretly tells her that Paramitha does not know her parents are buried near the rest of the house.
“Usually, if in Bandung at night you do anything?” Ardana started the conversation back to get quiet.
“Hm? I never actually go out at night. Go home to work or vacation also remain in the boarding room, do photography editing activities or chat with other fellow residents. What's special, every Sunday night we all eat with Mrs Heny at the boarding house. The atmosphere was full of intimacy and very warm. We are like a big family when we are like that. Well. although Heny's mother if you charge monthly boarding money like a fierce debt collector. Sometimes he uses vegetable centongs to hit naughty residents or get caught wandering for no apparent reason at night,” explained Paramitha with an amused smile.
Ardana could not help but laugh and instantly burst apart the silence. Paramitha who saw the behavior of the young man next to her only smiled while shaking her head.
“So Bu Heny likes to hit a boarding boy with a vegetable centong? Fortunately the owner of the contract where I live in Jagakarsa is not all that,” commented.
“Jagakarsa? Where is it?” ask Paramitha.
“That's the name of the district in South Jakarta,” replied Ardana, “though the place is solid but my neighbors are friendly. Just like your boarding house, the difference is almost every night we gather with men of various ages while drinking coffee or playing cards without gambling.”
“Without gambling...he means?”
“Yes, we play playing cards without using bets, gambling or the like. Instead, each of us had to give up our heads to be beaten with empty bottles of mineral water. Just imagine if there are dozens of people playing, pity the head is plontos. Good thing not to wear a broom.”
This time it was Paramitha's turn who could not help but laugh. Although not hard, but the neat and white serinya teeth look a little. Ardana was stunned and smiled. While smiling and laughing, Paramitha's elegance still persists.
Without feeling, the two have arrived near the southern gate of Cikembang Village. The atmosphere immediately welcomed their arrival. There are only LED lights behind the roof that are the main lighting. The light was even stronger than the lights along the road through which Ardana and Paramitha passed.
“We're already here,” said Ardana, “now you can do as you like, as long as it doesn't go in there.”
Not far from them there is a boundary sign between villages in the form of white painted concrete walls. It is only one meter tall with an adult thigh. The position there is open enough for someone to look up to the sky to enjoy the view of the night sky. Ardana saw him and turned to Paramitha. With all her courage, she reached out.
“You want to sit there? Take my hand, come on!”
Paramitha threw away her face while making a smile. Ardana's treatment was different from before making her heart beat fast.
“Kok even smiled to himself? C'mon!” Ardana extended her hand even closer.
Four seconds later Paramitha received Ardana's hand, allowing herself to be led to the concrete walls of the village barrier. Then the two sat on the concrete wall.
“Then...my mother once said about stars. They cannot talk, but can feel joy just like humans,” Paramitha said.
“So, huh? Why do you think they sparkle brighter than usual,” asked Ardana.
“The night sky is sunny after yesterday it was raining. Tonight is their chance to return to play joyfully. Maybe..if my father and mother were still there, they would have been with me to accompany me to see them, those stars,” Paramitha replied. There was a shiver of sadness from his tone of voice that was instantly caught by Ardana.
Ardana. He knew what had happened to Paramitha's father and mother through Inspiration. Even almost the full story even though he was not told how the chronology. But for the sake of keeping the girl's feelings, she chose to be a person who seemed to know nothing.
“Sorry, I didn't know that your parents were dead,” he said in a sorry tone.
Paramitha smiled as she closed her eyes for a moment. “It's okay. I just miss them. Just by coming back here, at least I've been feeling a little happy.”
They fell silent again. Ardana strengthened his grasp to make Paramitha aware. The girl was stunned but dissolved in silence. Not a word was said from the words of the two. The young man tried to understand his feelings through the gazes that met each other.
“If you are alone, how about your family?” paramitha asked as she turned her face forward. She knew Ardana was trying to plumb the sadness from her eyes and dodge.
Ardana who also turned her gaze in the same direction did not immediately reply. This young man sounded a heavy and small sigh, then laughed softly. Paramitha looked back at Ardana. Although the man looked ordinary but he could also feel that his question was not something he wanted to answer.
Not without reason Ardana heavy to answer it. Living apart from both parents whose relationship is not harmonious makes it not want to look like a broken home child. As much as possible, he endured it all, without complaining. Take cover behind the smiles and hospitality shown to everyone she meets. However, he knew the girl next to him would want to know what answer he would give.
“Hmmm, how do I get started, huh? Right now, I can only be thankful that my parents are still around. Although there were many things that changed our lives and I did not live with my father or mother. Even if they don't support my life choices, I choose to continue with it myself wholeheartedly. Later, someday I can boast of them,” he explained while glaring into the dark sky.
Paramitha smiled at Ardana's words. “Hopefully they can understand your circumstances and choices, though I do not know for sure what you are going through. But, I'm proud that someone like you would accompany me like now,”.
“Thank you,” reply Ardana, “I'm just glad to be able to share a story with you in the right atmosphere as it is today.”
Ardana inched slightly back to get a more comfortable sitting position. Although there is no place to lean, a concrete wall one meter thick with a height of the thighs of the adults they sit on including a comfortable place just to sit to enjoy the beautiful night view. The stars in the sky remained sparkling beautifully, as if rejoicing over their togetherness. The two young men then looked at each other.
Again, both feel the same way. The rapid heartbeat accompanies the pounding of taste in the ocean of hearts that are equally afraid to be expressed. Not a word came out of their lips. Only their faces were close to each other very slowly. Slowly Ardana stroked Paramitha's face. The girl was silent with a curious look.
“I love you, Paramitha. From the bottom of my heart.”
Both of Paramitha's eyes slightly enlarged. Between believing and not, he asks Ardana to repeat it.
“Ka—kamu.. said what was it?”
Ardana just smiled knot. His hand that was stroking Paramitha's face was now moved. Gently rub the left side to the back of the neck behind the girl's hair.
“I want to admit.. I love you,”.
Paramitha looked at him. She wanted to reply but her lips had already fused with the sweet kiss from Ardana. Surprised and powerless to refuse. Furthermore this girl knew, she fell into the arms of someone who was willing to accept herself regardless of any flaws.
