Biohazard's Catastrophe: Death's Hallway

Biohazard's Catastrophe: Death's Hallway
Black Glass Wall

The snout of STF/12 seems to be an extension of Ardana's eyes and hands. While sitting leaning in the row of stairs his hands move actively to make the shotgun made in Italy as a shield as well as a weapon. Direct the tip of the barrel to the left and right several times. Once it felt safe he ventured to go back up. The sound of muttering resounded from various directions but Ardana knew its origin was not from humans.

“Faith. We can get out now,” he said to Paramitha who was still standing at the bottom end there, extending her hand.

Paramitha received Ardana's helping hand as she rushed up. The flashlight in his hand was pointed to the left and right. Ardana let him do that because the creatures in the hallway area seemed insensitive to the movement of light.

“After this we go to where?” ask Ardana. Before he got out of the place he thought to be cursed, he wanted to know what the girl wanted to do.

Paramitha did not answer. His face turned to the left lane which looked to be winding to the right.

“As I recall, there's a path to the bottom. But deeper than this one,” he replied as he glanced at the room below.

Ardana glanced at the path Paramitha was referring to.

“Still far?”

“Maybe. But don't know if we haven't seen it yet, Dan.”

Ardana is in a dilemma. On the one hand he could not let Paramitha stay with him for too long. The news about the situation and existence of the Catranata girl was highly anticipated by Ilham and Nina. On the other hand, seeing how much Paramitha wanted to remember everything she had experienced by retracing the passageway, her heart fell instantly. Moreover, his motivation that wants to clear the good name of both parents and the Catranata family that has been dropped is increasingly crystallized.

Ardana however could not ignore Paramitha. No matter how hard he tried to take her out, the girl would still fight him. With firm conviction, he chooses to keep Paramitha until the problems they face can be solved together.

“Good. We follow the path to it,” he said.

Paramitha led the way. Ardana followed behind in a very close distance of about four jengkal. The new path they followed was longer. There is no room on the left and right nor the road cuts. It's just that there's something interesting for Ardana. The right side wall contained many golden snakes wrapped around a knife flanked by two black snakes, just as Paramitha had told her.

On the floor again found several human bodies scattered and squeezed each other. Different from what was previously seen by Ardana and Paramitha, almost all of the bodies were completely charred by releasing thick red mucus that smelled pungent. Not rotten, but similar to burnt meat. At first Ardana thought they were burning alive from the outside because on the wall there was a lick of fire. But his assumption was wrong when he ventured to examine one of the bodies of soldiers who sat down and his mouth gaping. The oral cavity gets hardened more solid than all other limbs.

Ardana crouched down while looking for something. A twenty-centimeter piece of iron was taken. Very carefully it was inserted into the mouth of the body of the soldier. Suddenly his lower jaw broke and fell. A piece of blackish-gray tentacle is stuck in the lower molars to the left into the throat. Using an iron tip that happened to be sharp, his hand tried to cut a bit of the part that still looked springy and soft.

From one of his pouches he took out a small canister-cube container the size of a palm-grip. The tentacle piece was put in by being stabbed and lifted. After that it is removed while clamped with the lid of the container and tightly closed.

“Euh... this is disgusting,” lamented. He almost vomited again if he did not immediately throw his face while covering his nose and mouth.

The part of the tentacle that was still stuck to the lower jaw of the body was carefully observed. His forehead shriveled tightly when he discovered something strange. On the inside of the tentacles that are cut there is a network arrangement similar to an electric eel. It's just that there are some circles like soft yellow tumors that according to him have a special function such as accommodating something. The part tried to be pierced with an iron tip.

“Dan, leave it!” rebuked Paramitha with a stifled voice. This girl seemed to be less fond of seeing Ardana's actions.

“Oh, eh? Yes, yes.” Ardana stands back up while putting the canned container back into the pouch.

Paramitha crossed her arms in front of her chest without removing her gaze from Ardana. Since there was nothing else to check, the two of them again continued the passage. Ardana still turned around several times while shining a flashlight in the opposite direction from their destination.

After passing through many lifeless bodies, the two were faced with a puddle of water that reached the ankle height. On the ceiling there are stains from water seepage that still looks moist. From where the two stood to the front. Although not suspicious but Ardana does not take it for granted. He asked Paramitha to hold back a step while he walked a few meters forward while trampling the flooded floor. Worried about broken or broken parts.

“The view extends to the end there,” said Ardana while pointing forward and turning to Paramitha. “What if I'm in front and you stay close to me?”

Paramitha did not answer. Carefully the girl approached Ardana while looking forward. Both of his eyes narrowed when he saw something there.

Ardana looked back to the front. Despite not seeing him he continued to advance followed by Paramitha. Only after walking a few meters did a room on the left side have dull glass walls as tall as an adult's waist. Its shape widened to tens of meters following the path with the end of a wide-open steel door.

“This room...,” hiss Paramitha weak.

“What's up?” Ardana who heard turned her head.

The two look at. Ardana could see clearly the great concern that was implied from both eyes of Paramitha.

“Why, Neng?”

“I remember this room.”

Ardana turned towards the glass wall on their left side. This young man approached and brought his face closer as his eyes moved left and right to see what was behind. The flashlight in his kevlar helmet was unable to penetrate the glass covered by something black.

“Indeed... What room is this?” He turned his body towards Paramitha who was standing pecking.

Paramitha.

“I don't know for sure what it is. What I still remember, at that time there were people who asked for help to be expelled. His body looked thin and his eyes were very sunken, and he looked frightened. Then from behind something pulled him back. His shout was so loud that it made his glass vibrate,” he explained.

Hearing Paramitha's words, Ardana's fur is chills. For some reason he suddenly became able to imagine what the girl had remembered so clearly. If this is the case, then the one behind the glass wall must be a place that should not be entered by humans.

“After passing this path, ahead there is still another place,” said Paramitha, casting its shadow.

“So, yes?” Ardana blinked her eyes many times without looking.

“You want to try checking this room, Dan?”

“Entahlah. If you don't mind, I'll do it.”

Paramitha nodded as a sign of approval. Ardana immediately rushed up to the exposed steel door to cover a quarter of the width of the passageway. Before actually getting in there, he made sure Paramitha stayed close to him.

Fearing the appearance of an undead or mutant creature from the outside as he charged in, his hand now reached into one of the pouches on the left waist. Ardana pulled a compressor and put it on the end of the barrel of his weapon so as not to cause a loud noise that was too loud. After the small preparations were finished, he turned to Paramitha.

“Stay close to the door until I say safe,” he said as he prepared.

Paramitha did not answer but continued to do as Ardana had told her. Three seconds later, Ardana quickly entered the room. No sound was heard after for a while.

A dozen seconds later, Ardana exclaimed, “Aman!”

The young man appeared again, out of the room.

“You must be interested in what I found,” he said.
