Open Fasting

As always, we repeat some of the same activities as yesterday. Open a store, sweep, organize a display, serve customers. That's every day. Sometimes tired and bored but still the spirit of living it. Because every day there are always things that are a blessing and can be used as a lesson in life. Every day will never be the same even if we repeat the same activity.

I began my work by traveling around the entire task site, taking records of items that needed to be requested extra from the warehouse. I went down to the first floor, it looked very crowded, a lot of teenagers hunting t-shirts because there were many sales. Sometimes I also help to serve customers.

"Excitements." I patted Lutvi's lethargic shoulder. He sat in the back close to the storage room. While at the cashier many customers pay.

"Why are you Pil here?" I asked again while placing my palm on his forehead. He looks like a sick man.

My coordinator and I changed today's schedule which was already neatly arranged. Because sudden things like this in times of crowded conditions are really troublesome. My break had to be pushed back by an hour to back up the underfloor who was lacking personnel. I also have to cook Iftar food for all the employees of the store.

In my shop we are told to cook for ourselves, usually alternating and there is a schedule. Besides work, we are also trained in responsibility. Managing all goods and employees. We are busy racing with raw food ingredients as well as pans and spatulas. While cooking we talk a lot.

"former? which ex am I?" I laughed at him.

"Working on the beach,"

"Daniel?" I shrank the fire and looked at Rina.

"What's your friend's name?" I asked.

"Kok he know if I have an ex who works at the beach?" i'm probing.

"Yesterday I said, I was transferred to Blitar, and Ara said that if her friend's boyfriend was here, then I asked who it was, uh don't know mbak," Rina explained.

"No, you can think of it" I was astonished but curious.

"Emang has broken up with Danial, why?" Lina wanted to know.

"I haven't broken up with him yet, but yesterday there was a bit of a problem." I told Rina.

"Oh, that's it, ma'am" Rina was half shocked.

I rustled, I caught another meaning of Rina's sentence. When Gea broke up, Danial also broke up with me. I'm laughing, very sensitive. I'm jealous? Or I don't accept it because it was decided, even though it's fine now.

"Rin, you take a bath first, it's already five o'clock, the rest I finish," I told Rina to take a shower first, we have to take a change of shower because soon adzan maghrib will reverberate. I diverted the conversation also from Rina, it felt like my heart was haunted by Danial's past.

Before long Rina was tidy, I hurried to take my towel and take a bath.

Everyone who looks at laughter. All took the folding chairs reserved for dining in the kitchen, and took place around the hallway. The atmosphere was boisterous, laughing at each other. Fun when breaking the fast here, we are not alone, we eat together while occasionally telling stories.

We break the fast in turn, because the store is always open. Then after the second shift is done breaking open, then we close the store. Me and Lina swiftly cleaned the kitchen as well. There was the sound of the shop door being pulled down. This is the time to perform congregational tarawih prayers in the store, precisely on the third floor. We invite Mr. Kyai to become a prayer priest.

After performing the tarawih prayer, we continue the activity until ten. Tonight was very tired, every day had to fight with customers who were always increasing in number. The feast day will soon arrive.

I take a break on the balcony, my mind goes to Danial.
