BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BEAUTIFUL

BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BEAUTIFUL
32. Ken Came to Visit

Just now the motorbike was parked perfectly in the garage of the house, when I was about to go inside, suddenly my steps stopped to see the car that had just arrived in front of the house. A car that feels familiar to me. Seeing the figure that just came out instantly made me slack.

"Ken! Uh, that means Mr. Ken!" I said.

"Hahaha, no need to be formal so Ra. It's not office hours. Just call Ken or Ken" he said, throwing the best smile.

"Come, Ken?"

"That's better to hear the ears."

"Well, are you here?"

"You stopped by."

"Attracted?"

"Yes. I already told you. You've read wa from me, haven't you?"

"But I didn't reply."

"Yes though it is unrequited, but since you have read it and there is no rejection, I assume you accept my presence here. Like a proposed daughter, just shut up. That's the sign yes. I mean, I mean you like that too."

"What kind of conclusion is that?"

"My own conclusion."

"Just be cool."

"Already ah Ra, can you please call Auntie."

"What do you want, Ken? Look for my mama everything. Don't get along, huh!" however, I had to limit my meeting with Ken because the first meeting alone had left a deep impression on my heart. Don't let mama really like Ken and hope he becomes a son-in-law.

"I want to see your Mama."

"Make what?"

"Something I want to talk about."

"What?"

"You can hear yourself later."

"Cannot. My mom is not home."

"Not yet to go home."

"Yes!"

"Yes, I'll wait here." No excuse me, Ken is sitting on the guest chair on the porch.

"What the hell are you doing?" I'm getting restless. It's nothing, his attitude like this makes me hot cold. Just now I vowed to forget it, but if Ken was as familiar as this it would be hard. He was delicious, easily able to switch to someone else. Then us?

"Aren't you going to give me a drink, Ra?"

"There's no drink here."

"Squeezer. You don't forget Ra, that I'm your boss?"

"So you want to press, me? He said tell me to be ordinary. No need to be formal because we are not in the office and this is not working hours!"

"Yes, you won!"

"Why should you pretend to be an employee?"

"You don't like it?"

"That's it!"

"That means we're the same, Ra. At first I didn't like it either. But that was the condition my father put forward before I took over as chief director. Dad wanted me to learn first, for a month to be an ordinary employee without being recognized by others.

Father's goal, so that I really feel and know the condition of the company as a whole. Good and bad. When a leader knows the grievances of the people he leads, it will be the beginning of being a good leader. Not only requires the dedication of employees but also can prosper them.

My dislike for my father's terms changed when I started getting to know you, Ra. Being close friends and even learning from you is good luck. I really did not expect, the company has employees who are so loyal in their work.

So, with the benefits I had, I finally changed my mind. So be more grateful for the terms put forward by my father" said Ken.

What Ken said was right too. There are so many leaders now who do not understand how the condition of their subordinates. They only know how the company can reach the target without caring for subordinates who have been struggling to give their best.

"Then what do you want?" I asked Ken.

"Ra, are you ready to get married?"

"meaning?"

"After failing to marry Arif some time ago, are you ready to open a new page?"

"You alone?"

"I God willing are ready, Ra."

"It's coincidence. I have a candidate that's right for you."

"What candidate, Ra?"

"Bianca. You know him, right? Who used to come in with you."

"That model, right?"

"Yes. You want to get to know her more, don't you?"

"No!"

"Kok so, anyway?"

"Because I want someone else."

"Sister Rara!" dinda's voice stopped our conversation. "Sister, Mama fainted!" said Dinda

"Astagfirefull!" I immediately ran to the flower shop where Mama was without any concern for Ken.

When I got there, I found Mama lying on the couch. Two middle-aged women accompanied my mother. They are our neighbors. Usually, Mama asks for their help if there are orders in large quantities.

"Mama why?" my many.

"Bring it to the hospital, Ra!" take Ken.

Without any more command, we all took Mama to the hospital in Ken's car. Me, and Dinda held my mother's body in the back seat, while Ken drove himself in front.

My mom was just checked by a doctor. Apparently my mom's tension is low. I just realized how much thinner Mama is now than before. It must be because my mom has a lot of thoughts. Since my wedding plan failed, my mother has become more reserved. His face was often gloomy as well. Mama must have thought of everything.

I feel really guilty about Mom. Instead of making Mama happy, I just add a burden to mama.

Oh Allah .. forgive Rara, ma.

When mama realized, her face that originally looked limp was immediately cheerful once she realized Ken's presence.

"Geez, Ken boy. I'm sorry if Auntie's bothering Ken" said mom.

"It's okay, I'm just happy to be able to help Auntie" Ken replied politely.

The pleasantries between mama and Ken continued until I finished the administration. We then got back in Ken's car. Actually I told him to come home, later he could take a taxi, but he did not listen, plus the mother who also maintained his existence.

Until home, Ken only stopped by for a while, he immediately went home because he did not want to disturb the rest of mama even though Ken really wanted to say something to Mama.

"Tomorrow, if the condition of Aunt is better, I will stop by here again "Said Ken, then he said back home.

"It was so good, Ra" said my mother.

"Ma, it turns out that Ken is the chief director in Rara's office!" I told her everything until my mother's face turned sad.

"Ra, if Ken wants to find a future wife like what, huh?"

"What's the matter, ma?"

"Mom would love for you to have a soul mate like Ken."

"Don't expect too much ma, you'll be disappointed. Besides, Ken, Rara's boss and Mama already know how the type of woman he likes?"

"Yes the Ra. But mama keeps praying that you get a soul mate like her."

In this heart, what had just become my mother's prayer, I immediately amened as loud as possible. I don't know why I hope so much that what is my prayer, the prayer of mama and Dinda can be granted by God. Am I overreacting?
