As long as Mutia told her everything, with no more lies to hide, Yudha listened, not wanting to miss a word. Then when he found out the real reason for Mutia's divorce was because Haikal was having an affair with the woman's cousin, even to the point of becoming pregnant, Yudha could only hold back her wrath while firmly clenching her hand. If Haikal was in front of him at this moment, it was certain that he would have battered the man until his face could no longer be recognized.
How dare the man compete like a victim and make Mutia as the antagonist.
Sighing harshly, Yudha cursed her foolishness that afternoon. He should not be immediately provoked by emotion, to swallow the words of Haikal, did not give the same opportunity to Mutia to talk and do self-defense. Whereas before Yudha had been determined not to directly believe the words of Haikal and would listen to the explanation from the side of Mutia, but in fact he was burning with anger that scorched them both.
"People say, divorce that occurs when the woman is pregnant, then the divorce is not legal. For that reason I kept my pregnancy a secret from Haikal. I don't want to go back to him. Besides because I can't possibly get married by sharing a husband, I also think about my son's fate. If Haikal has a child with Sonya, I don't want my son to be treated differently than Haikal, given that Haikal doesn't love me, he'll love his son and Sonya more."
Looking at the clear liquid flowing from the corner of Mutia's eyes, Yudha moved her hand to wipe the woman's tears, then smiled as Mutia directed her attention. Yudha stared fixedly at Mutia's black bead, while tightly grasping the woman's hand.
"I want you to call Haikal and get him to meet."
Mutia shook her head repeatedly. "I don't want to meet or relate to Haikal anymore, Mas. Every time I see him, there's always something bad going on with me."
"You believe me, don't you?"
Like being hypnotized, Mutia nodded her head, so here they are now. Sitting side by side in a restaurant, with Joseph in Yudha's lap, awaiting Haikal's arrival.
"You again? Let's take it from Dad." Yudha put the bread in her hand on Joseph, then kept it away when the five-month-old baby tried to take it. Yudha deliberately teased Joseph, making the five-month-old baby smash his lips and he laughed.
"Mas, that. Later Yusuf nangis, hard to remember." reprimanded Mutia, did not think Yudha could still be calm and even joke with Joseph, while he himself was feeling cold heat.
Ignoring Mutia's reprimand, Yudha continued to judge Joseph, until a whining sound began to be heard and the baby's eyes were already teary, then Yudha gave bread in her hand. But Joseph who was already sulking no longer wanted the bread, just crying loudly.
"Tuh, right. I said what."
Then Mutia took over Joseph while criticizing Yudha who was just putting on a sinless grin. Then he reached into the bag containing Joseph's needs, took out a bottle of milk, and gave it to the tiny baby. Luckily his little son was instantly silent, so as not to make a fuss any longer.
Closing his seat to Mutia, Yudha grabbed the woman's shoulder, while her other hand moved rubbing Joseph's cheek. "Father's son is easily sulked, anyway. No way, son. You are a man."
Not liking Yudha's words, Joseph turned and pressed his face against her, making Yudha flick her lips, while Mutia laughed amusedly.
"Pity dicuekin." ledek Mutia while stroking Yudha's jaw which began to be overgrown with beard.
Seeing the interaction of the three, people must think that they are a harmonious family, warm and loving each other, when in reality they will only form a family.
Their laughter stopped at once upon hearing Deheman's voice. Simultaneously the two directed attention to the origin of the sound, even Joseph had time to release his milk bottle and stared in the same direction, but then again dissolved in his own world.
"I think we'll only talk with four eyes" Haikal said in a cynical tone as he stared intently at Yudha. Because yesterday Mutia only sent a message containing a call to meet to talk, without saying Yudha's participation in their conversation.
"If it wasn't for Mas Yudha, I wouldn't even see you anymore!" Mutia replied no less.
When she felt a touch in her arm, Mutia turned her face and turned to look at Yudha who was shaking slowly, asking her not to get carried away by emotions. But how could Mutia calm down, if the person who always gave her grief and pain was before her eyes. Even so Mutia still obeyed Yudha's words and only vented her frustration by throwing a rough breath.
"Sit down, Haikal." Yudha's gaze was fixed on Haikal who was still standing. "I wanted to answer your request back then."
Like finding an oasis in the desert, Haikal's black bead seemed to sparkle when he finally sat down before Yudha and Mutia. As his gaze turned to Joseph in Mutia's lap, Haikal looked at the five-month-old with a warm and affectionate look.
"I am willing to let go of Mutia and Joseph."
Yudha's words not only managed to attract Haikal's attention, but also made Mutia look at him with a look of disbelief.
"Mas!" he said on the sidelines of a whacky shock.
Yudha turned to Mutia, then said softly. "Believe me. Okay?"
If you let us go, we'd better just go. Until then, I won't go back to Haikal. Inner Mutia in silence.
"Really?" Haikal looked at Yudha expectantly, while the one being stared at put on a sly grin.
"But on one condition."
"What?" ask Haikal. From his tone of voice the man sounded impatient.
Yudha paused for a few seconds, before throwing a bomb directly over Haikal's head.
"Perse your wife."
When Yudha spoke calmly, Haikal looked at Yudha with a red face.
"Are you crazy?! I can't possibly divorce my wife." this time Haikal's voice held in anger
"Why not?" leaning back, Yudha folded her hands while looking at Haikal haughtily. The man snorted before returning his voice. "Because you love your wife?"
Haikal was silent. And the silence of Haikal was the 'yes' answer for Yudha.
"For what reason do you keep a woman who always fails to even give you offspring and is even threatened can no longer conceive."
Haikal's hands clenched firmly under the table, while catching the tone of ridicule in Yudha's sentence.
"Until any time I'll never divorce Sonya. I love her and will continue to be with her to the end, no matter if we really won't have children."
There was an emphasis in every sentence of Haikal, showing his anger, but Yudha was not affected at all. The man chugged himself down, leaned slightly on Haikal and threw a cold gaze.
"Just as it is with you who do not want to divorce your wife, I cannot let go of Mutia and Joseph either. Because what?" Yudha smiled cynically. "Because for the same reason as you, Haikal. I love Mutia and love Joseph very much."
Mutia, who had been silent and was trying to convince herself in her heart to trust Yudha, was surprised and reflexively turned to Yudha when she heard the man's words.
Did Yudha love me? Did ya?
Although it was difficult to believe what she heard, Mutia could not help the overflow of happy feelings that filled her chest, so Mutia smiled while shedding tears. Tears of happiness.
"I want to make sure of their happiness, when I can't give myself that happiness." Yudha shook her head slowly, before returning her voice. "If you had chosen to leave your wife for Mutia and Joseph, I would have tried to let them go. At least I know they're in a safe position. But the truth is, you don't want to sacrifice at all for Mutia and Joseph." growling low, Yudha threw a scornful look. "You've lost your chance, Haikal. So don't ever hope again I'll let them go for a selfish bastard like you!"
Lost for words, Haikal vented his anger by pounding the table, making Joseph who was just about to fall asleep startled and cry loudly. The cry that drew Haikal's attention to the tiny baby and ignored the hateful look Mutia threw at him, as the woman tried to calm Joseph down.
"If you don't want to let them go, then I'll take this to the path of the law" Haikal said as he looked at Yudha. Whatever he would do to get his son, no matter how. "When our divorce happened, Mutia was pregnant and that meant our divorce was not legal."
Instead of putting on a panicked look, Yudha just raised one eyebrow and gave a amused smile. What Mutia was afraid of now Haikal made a weapon. Looking at Mutia, he found the woman staring blankly, as her hands hugged Joseph tightly. Immediately Yudha grabbed one of Mutia's hands, carried it on her lap and held it. Attracting the attention of Mutia who immediately returned Yudha's grasp.
"Are you sure you want to take this matter to court?" releasing his grip on Mutia, Yudha took out the map that was in the bag containing Joseph's needs, then thrust the map into Haikal. "I accidentally printed that article. Read it."
Haikal felt de javu, then took over the map that Yudha gave and immediately read it.
"I've been looking for a lot of articles and even asked this issue to people who know more about the law. You can read for yourself there, that regarding divorce when the wife is pregnant, it is not prohibited, both in the compilation of Islamic law and in the marriage law and government regulations. However, there is an iddah or waiting period for the divorced widow while pregnant, that is until she gives birth and Mutia has passed her iddah"
"But if you still want to take this matter to court, go ahead." Yudha casually put her shoulders together.
"If the court grants your wish, then Mutia can also file a lawsuit. Because legally, there are reasons for divorce as stipulated in article 19 of the government regulation no.9 of 1975 on the implementation of law no.1 of 1974 on marriage and one of these reasons is, one of them is, one party is adulterous or becomes a drunkard, a junkie, a gambler and so on that is difficult to cure."
The corner of Yudha's lips was drawn to form a grin when she saw Haikal sculpting with a red face. He knew the man was already desperate, but he did not want to stop attacking Haikal.
"Still insisting on bringing this thing to the green table? Think again, Haikal. Because if you stick to your decision, it means you're ready for the consequences. You'll get two losses at once, Haikal. First, I'll make sure you lose custody of Joseph. And secondly, you're going to embarrass yourself when people know that the real reason you're divorced isn't because you don't fit in and just think of each other as brothers, unless it's because you're having an affair and even your affair is getting pregnant."
Haikal's shoulder relaxed. His eyes were empty, losing hope. As he looked at Joseph, the man's eyes looked desperate.
"I'm not doing this to break Joseph's relationship with his real father, I just want to stop your selfishness from hurting them."
Yudha's words attracted Haikal's attention, making the man look at him with a confused look.
"That means, you can meet Joseph whenever you want. Later when he is five years old, you can occasionally take him to stay with you. I won't stop you from meeting."
"Really?" haikal's black bead again sparkled expectantly.
Yudha gave a faint smile. "I told you, I wouldn't be so cruel as to separate a child from his father." Because I know what it's like to grow up without a father. "Even though Joseph would have me as his father, he would have been happier knowing that he had a biological father."
Haikal is speechless. But from his teary eyes and lips that review the smile, will certainly immediately make anyone know that the man is currently feeling moved and happy.
"I have also agreed with Mutia that the name that will be listed on Joseph's birth certificate is your name." Yudha casually raised her shoulders. "Because you deserve that. You and Mutia are divorced, but Joseph is still your son. Nothing can change that."
In Haikal's heart repeatedly gave thanks. Even unknowingly Haikal shed a tear, but he quickly wiped it off as the clear liquid began to descend his cheek.
"I give you unlimited access to meet Joseph or take him on a trip and stay with you later. But remember this is fine Haikal, never take Joseph from Mutia, even to think about it. If you do that, then that very second you'll lose your rights to Joseph."
Haikal nodded his head. "Agreed."
Yudha smiled with satisfaction. "Good."
There was silence for a few moments, until the awkward deheman sound that Haikal let out broke the silence.
"Can I carry Joseph?" Haikal looked at Mutia with pleading highlight.
Mutia did not immediately reply, instead directing a gaze at Yudha. When she found the man nodding, Mutia handed Joseph over to Haikal.
"O Lord," Haikal cried out in amazement to Joseph who had fallen asleep in his arms. This time Haikal no longer held back, he just let his tears flow out.
"You're really an angel, son." then lowered your head, peeping every inch of his son's delicate face.
"I'm going to another table?" looking up, Haikal looked at Yudha and Mutia alternately. "I want to call Dad and show Joseph to him."
Mutia was about to file a protest. He still could not trust Haikal completely. It could be that the man was reckless with taking his son away. But the grip in his hand undoes Mutia's intention and makes him turn to look at Yudha who does not turn his face away from Haikal. The man now seemed to be smiling faintly.
"Please. I told you, you have unlimited access, while you keep your word."
Haikal smiled happily, then left in front of Mutia and Yudha. As Haikal approached the table near the glass wall, Mutia continued to watch the man, as if afraid that if he distracted her just a little, Haikal would disappear with his son.
"Hey," grabbing Mutia's shoulder, Yudha forced the woman to direct attention to her. "Give Haikal a chance. Even though you don't like him, he's still Joseph's father and he has the same rights as you. I know it's hard for you, but like I said, we can't break father and son, just like Haikal can't separate you from Joseph."
When Mutia nodded her head, though forcefully, Yudha gave a small smile and carried the woman leaning against her chest, while her constant hand rubbed gently on Mutia's arm.
"Bag,"
"Hm."
Pause for a few seconds before Mutia again let out her voice. "Regarding our marriage, will it continue or not? You see, yesterday afternoon the catering and printing invitations contacted me. They asked for the payment to be paid off." sighing deeply, Mutia looked at her fingers who were now playing the buttons of Yudha's shirt. "If they cancel, they say the money that has come in will not be returned."
Yudha smiled. Her hand now moved caressing Mutia's long hair. "Yes. I will transfer. What is your dress? It's done."
Mutia instantly created distance and looked at Yudha with a frowning forehead. "Mas want to pay off? That means..."
Yudha brought Mutia back into her arms. "So I asked, is your dress finished yet?"
Mutia could not help but smile. The woman pressed her face against the chest of Yudha's field. "Santi's sister hasn't contacted me yet."
"Would you stop by the boutique after you get out of here?"
"Can."
Ah... Mutia felt really relieved. Now he could walk in the shadows again with the fear that Yudha would know his lies and that would be the cause of their separation.
"Eumm, Mum. I'm curious,"
A moment Yudha looked at Mutia. "Absolutely curious about what?"
Mutia looked up along with Yudha who was looking down on her. Make their eyes in a straight line. The two looked at each other closely.
"When did you love me?"
Yudha gave an amused smile as she looked at the look on Mutia's face that looked serious when she asked, then looked at the woman's nose with an ignorant look.
"You know it or you want to know it."
"Idihh," Mutia's reflex hit Yudha's chest softly. "It doesn't fit the age, Mom."
"Lho, why? I'm not that old."
Enforcing her seat, Mutia folded her hands while looking at Yudha with narrowed eyes. "Not to divert the conversation, Mom."
Yudha chuckled, then cupped the face of Mutia — who was reddish from annoyance— with anxiety. "I'll tell you after you've officially become my wife."
Waving off her sense of regret, Mutia beat Yudha's arm, making the man grimace at her laughter and making them the center of attention. Seeing Yudha laughing loosely, Mutia stopped her blow, then smiled broadly, before scattering into Yudha's arms that felt so warm and protective. He hoped that Yudha was the man God really destined for him so that the heart would no longer beat.
While at another table, Haikal who had been watching Mutia and Yudha's interactions was smiling sincerely. He felt happy and relieved, seeing Mutia who he had always hurt, could now smile and laugh again.
