After that night Yudha never came again to meet Joseph, even the man followed the advice of RT sir by assigning his trusted person —which is of course a woman— to check the condition of the house he currently lives in.
There was relief that Mutia felt, because in addition to no longer having to accept bad criticism from the neighbors, it was necessary, the decision of Yudha who never came again made Mutia have the last defense not to fall more and more in love with the man.
Mutia realized her feelings for Yudha, after everything the man did and how the man treated her, where perhaps Mutia ultimately had no more feelings for Yudha. After all, he was just a man who was so easily touched by his heart.
But on the other hand, not face to face with Yudha since the incident that night, making his feelings uncomfortable. There was a sense of uneasiness in holding back longing, also disappointed, because of the decision of Yudha who chose to stay away from him and Joseph. Mutia did not know what she wanted, everything felt wrong.
"Mutia, how come you're at work, anyway?" Keyla welcomed Mutia's arrival in the office lobby with a puzzled look.
In order to relieve her heart that was holding back the longing to stifle her chest, Mutia decided to end her lifespan sooner.
"Well, 'cause I need money, Key." Mutia nonchalantly stepped out, while Keyla made a step.
"Mut, giving birth normally only takes a long time to recover, let alone you who went through a caesarean section. After all, the company gave two months for maternity leave. Lah, you haven't had a month. What if your stitches are open? It's a danger, Mut. Where is your son? How did you not bring it?" keyla followed Mutia who got into the elevator and wasted no time pressing the number two button.
"If I, anyway, get a two-month leave, I will benefit from the holiday until I feel bored" he continued accompanied by a wide grin.
"That's because you don't really need the money, Key." Mutia said, without looking at the woman beside him. "You're still alone, you have a Mom and an older brother, who wouldn't mind giving you a little money to buy makeup. While I, I am a widow, have a sister who is still in school and need a big fee, especially now that I also have a child, which although still a baby, but the needs are quite a lot."
"Mutia, sorry." Keyla's not feeling well. "I'm just worried about you."
Looking at Keyla, Mutia reviewed a wide, warm smile. "Thank you for worrying about me and I promise you it'll be okay, Key."
Keyla nodded with a grim look. "But you should not be too tired or lift heavy things. I don't want you to go back to the hospital because of a broken sewing thread."
"Ready, boss." Mutia blinked one eye, then laughed crisply with Keyla.
"Oh yeah, you haven't answered my question. You didn't take Joseph?"
Mutia shook her head. "His age hasn't been even a month, Key, so I can't take him out of the house. If I do, Joseph will be easily afflicted with disease."
"Then..Where is Yusuf?"
The elevator clinks, the two women who wear special uniforms of Barata Mobilindo sales stepped out together. And before Mutia responded to Keyla's question, their steps came to a halt as the sudden appearance of Dawn was already standing before them, blocking the way.
"Mut, to the boss's room now."
Dawn's words made Keyla immediately turn to Mutia. "The boss must have seen you from a cctv camera in the lobby. Hunting into his room there, I'm sure the boss wants to piss you off for entering before the leave ends."
Mutia did not listen to Keyla's words. At this time he was busy calming his heart that suddenly beat fast, because soon he would meet Yudha. The man he had seen for some time was only behind the scenes when he made a video call to interact with his son.
Oh heart, relax. I don't want to do anything stupid that's embarrassing because of you.
"Mutia," Keyla jolted as she shook Mutia's hand, making the master startled and giving her a dazed look. Keyla clucking. "Let's daydream. Buruan, don't make the boss even more angry, because it's been waiting for you too long."
...* * *...
"Mas Yudha called me." he said.
The dark bead owner who was busy with his laptop is now directing attention to Mutia. His elbows rested on the table, as his hands clutched in front of his face. Staring at Mutia sharply and intensely.
"What is this, Mutia? You go to work before your time." Then lean your back with your hands folded under your chest
"I issued a law on leave for a woman who has just given birth for two months, not without reason, Mutia. It took me a long time to recover after giving birth, I know that, so I gave leave. While you've been at work, when your stitches haven't even dried. Do you want me to be seen as a cruel boss, for hiring employees who have even just given birth. Then what if something happens to you?"
As Keyla had guessed, Yudha was really mad at him. The man even nagged her as if she was a naughty little girl, secretly eating candy, but was repeatedly banned.
But instead of feeling scared, Mutia smiled in her head bow, feeling strange because she was so happy to see Yudha's flat face when angry or the heavy voice of the man who did not get tired of nagging her.
"Sorry."
Just like that, because he was afraid if he spoke too much he would get out of control and could not resist to review a big smile. It would certainly make Yudha more angry because he thought he was making fun of the man.
"Oh my God, Mutia. I spoke at length and you only considered it with four words? I can't belive it." Yudha's wrath filled her hair, then her gelatinous laughter rang out, drawing Mutia's attention to look at the owner of the crisp laughter.
"Dissidential basis." sneered Yudha in a thin tone, inversely proportional to the glittering glare of her eyes.
Not because of the man's anger, but because of the presumptuous desire that arose within him, which urged him to embrace Yudha, letting go of the unexpressed longing.
"If I take too long off, it means I won't get a paycheck, while I need money. Besides. I feel so healthy, even though my stitches aren't dry yet."
"Ahh...how stubborn is this woman's head." then Yudha snorted. "Alright, it seems like whatever I say always gets an answer from you, so I won't forbid you from working, on condition that something happens that makes your condition worse, then I will comfort you for three whole months."
"No objection!" yudha broke off in a stern tone when she saw Mutia open her mouth, preparing to argue back.
"All right." Mutia relaxed her shoulders and was determined to be careful to always be fine.
"By the way, where's Yusuf? I miss him so much and I want to carry him. Has the weight increased?"
"Yusuf at home, Mas."
"Huh? At home? With who?" brow Yudha linked.
"That's it," Mutia hesitated to say it, for somehow she felt that the answer would make Yudha come back into a great rage.
"That's what, Mutia?" this time Yudha squinted her eyes suspiciously.
Mutia closed her eyes for a moment, sighing before replying.
"I hire the services of a daily babysitter, Mas."
"Babysitters?" Yudha. "Do you know the babysitter?"
Mutia nodded. "But not personally."
"You mean?"
"I only know him from the biodata listed on their website."
"Web's? Web what, Mutia? I'm not getting the point of your conversation."
"That, Mas. I hired a babysitter through an online site." Mutia's voice squeaked at the end of the sentence.
"What?!"
Mutia closed her eyes as Yudha shouted in front of her with a dead red face and a look of shock.
"You hired an unknown man to babysit, Joseph? Oh my God, Mutia! What do you think of doing that, huh? Don't you think anything bad could have happened, like that nanny kidnapped Joseph, for example."
Mutia widened her eyes. To be honest, Yudha's words were not at all born before. And now Mutia was panicking.
"W-how's this, Mas?" she said with a very worried tone.
Yudha tried to calm down. "Are you holding his identity card? Or at the very least, take a picture of the nanny's face?"
While biting her lips, Mutia shook her head.
"But I have his cell phone number, Mas."
"Then call the nanny immediately."
Mutia nodded and did Yudha's orders. A sigh of relief came out from between her lips as her phone call was lifted.
"There's an answer?" Yudha asked in a whispering tone and Mutia responded with a nod of her head. After making sure Yusuf's condition was fine, Mutia ended the call.
"We're going home now. I'll give Yusuf a trusted nanny. And when you get home, you have to fire the nanny right away."
Mutia's heart warmed. Either because of Yudha's attention or because of the word home that sounds like they live in one house, like a husband and wife.
Okay, Mutia. Stop that impossible thought!
