To Mutia

To Mutia
Not alone and Joseph

"How's Mutia doing?"

Yudha was so worried when one of her employees contacted her that she found Mutia lying in the bathroom a few minutes ago. Yudha went straight to the hospital, the man even forgot his footwear in a hurry, lucky to have sandals in the trunk of the car that he could wear.

"Still in check with the doctor, boss." the light brown-haired woman responded to Yudha's question.

Rubbing his face, Yudha let out a rough sigh. Then stared alternately at the five women before him. "Who found Mutia?"

The woman in a denim jacket with shoulder-length hair raised her hand. "So I want to pinch the charger with Mutia. As I entered her Mutia was not there and the bathroom was open, it was then that I saw Mutia lying on the floor with fresh blood flowing out from the bottom of her body. I panicked and called for another. Kikan immediately contacted the boss, while Adriana asked for help. The people who helped us bring Mutia here."

"O Allah," Yudha restored her hair while resting her heart.

The whole attention was now fixed on the door of the ER room that had just opened and a second later a man walking out. They immediately approached the doctor, with Yudha at the front.

"How's the condition?" asked Yudha, representing the curiosity of his employees about the condition of Mutia.

"We found the rest of the laxative solution inside the patient's body."

"Medicine laxative?" Yudha frowned, as a faint gasp sounded from behind her body.

"And currently the patient is in critical condition. The clash experienced by the patient is strong enough to cause bleeding. We have to remove the baby immediately by surgery or this will endanger the condition of the mother and baby." explained the doctor.

"But. due date Mutia is still two weeks away. Doesn't it matter?" Yudha recalled the time she accompanied Mutia to the final check-up and the doctor told them the prediction date for Mutia to give birth.

"If we let the patient's condition like this, it will be very dangerous, sir. Moreover, the patient's membranes have been ruptured due to his body being knocked down strongly and that can cause his water to dry. We have to do surgery on the patient immediately."

"alright. Please, do your best for Mutia and her baby."

The doctor nodded. "Are you a family patient? We need approval from the family to perform the operation."

"No. I'm his boss at work, all his family is off the island, so I'm in charge."

"Then, can you come with me now to sign the consent letter?"

Yudha nodded, then turned to look at her employees. "You go home." Yudha's attention now turns to the woman who found Mutia in the bathroom. "Nyimas, you can drive right?"

"Can, boss."

"Bring my car." Yudha gave Nyimas the keys, which were immediately taken over by the woman before him. "Please prepare all the belongings and needs of baby Mutia, then tomorrow morning you bring it here."

...* * *...

"Hey, are you conscious?" after signing the letter of approval, Yudha returned to the ER room to meet Mutia. When he stepped in, he found the pregnant woman was looking at him. Black beads that are usually so sparkling are also full of spirit, now look cute and teary.

"Ma-Mas Yudha." Mutia's voice sounded hoarse. Either because it was just conscious or because it held back the crying. Then when Yudha arrived beside him, Mutia's defense was destroyed. He cried like a child. "I-I don't want an operation, Mom. I'm scared." whine.

Yudha grabbed Mutia's hand, grasped it gently, while commenting on the soothing smile. "Why should I be afraid? Have you not prepared yourself to go through the labor process? You can't wait to see it either, right?"

"Yes," Mutia lowered her head, looked at her big belly and gave a slow swipe. "But it's for a normal delivery. I never imagined I would be in this situation. People say, the healing process of cesarean section, longer than normal childbirth."

Without awkward Yudha rubbed the top of Mutia's head. "As humans we can only plan, while God determines everything. Giving birth normally or by surgery, will not be a problem, the most important thing is that your baby is born safe and healthy, without any shortage of one thing."

Mutia shook her head repeatedly. And now the woman seemed panicked when she saw several nurses enter the ER room to prepare for her labor operation.

Grabbing Yudha's arm, as her tears flowed out. "Mas, please. I don't want an operation."

Taking off Mutia's grip, Yudha lowered her head, then cupped the woman's cheek. "Then will you let your baby's condition get worse? Are you ready to lose her?"

Mutia shook her head loudly and sobbed. After all the loss she had, Mutia did not want to lose her child either.

"Stt..." Yudha wiped Mutia's tears with her thumb, then gently gave a kiss on her forehead. "God will make what you think. Therefore, you should always be prejudiced. And insya'allah everything will be fine too. Leave everything to God, for no one really knows what is best for us, other than God the Giver of Life."

Grabbing one of Yudha's palms cupped onto her cheek, Mutia clasped tightly, making the man a grip, as her eyes showed a glaring glare. "A-I know I shouldn't have asked Mas Yudha for this, but please. I don't want to go through this alone."

Yudha smiled widely, then nodded. "definitely. I'll keep you company until it's over. Don't think about anything, just focus on your baby." Yudha slowly stroked Mutia's cheek. "You're not alone. I will always be with you."

......* * *......

A few minutes after successfully passing through the labor process, Mutia felt her body was so tired, that she ended up losing consciousness. An hour later, as Mutia opened her eyes, she immediately saw the tall, straight man standing behind her by the window of the ward.

His two strong hands, holding a baby so gently and affectionately. Sometimes the man invites the baby to talk in his arms, laugh when the baby responds, even if only a blink of an eye, then give a kiss on the forehead, cheeks, and even the tip of his nose. For anyone who saw it, would think that the man was happy to welcome the birth of his child.

"Ma-Mas Yudha."

Reversing his body, Yudha directed her attention to Mutia while commenting on her warm smile. "You're finally awake too. He's been so hungry."

Moving towards Mutia, Yudha kissed the little baby's forehead before giving it to her mother.

"I'll be out for a minute."

"Hi, Honey. Welcome then. Mommy is happy to see you." With teary eyes and a feeling of happiness that is so bloated, Mutia kissed every surface of her son's face.

Mutia realized when she heard the sound of her baby crying, that she had to give breast milk immediately, but she did not know how. It was his first experience and he was afraid of making a mistake, which would harm his son.

As Mutia was deep in thought, the door of the ward opened and a second later a nurse stepped in while smiling kindly at her.

"So your husband went to the doctor and said that you were conscious, and then the doctor asked me to come here to help you give breast milk to this little baby" explained the nurse, he arrived next to Mutia's bed.

"Husband?" Mutia asks questions as the nurse helps her baby get in a comfortable position to enjoy her first breast milk.

"Yes. The same man who accompanied you during the operation. She...your husband, right?" after doing her duty, the nurse looked at Mutia with narrowed eyes.

Mutia felt that a large stone was clogging her throat, so she had trouble gulping her saliva, as well as losing the ability to make sounds. Mutia was in a dilemma, yet ended up nodding stiffly.

"Your husband is so caring and loves you."

Mutia recalled that while she was undergoing surgery, Yudha never stopped praying while wiping the sweat and tears that soaked her face, while one of the man's hands could not be held tightly by her hands, giving confidence that he is not alone, that he has a place to hold.

"When you pass out and the doctor says you're bleeding quite a lot, your husband is so panicked. Moreover, plus we need a long time waiting for the blood bank to deliver some blood bags, while you can not wait any longer. Then with your husband's deathly pale face out of the operating room, he approached everyone in the hospital and asked for their blood type. Not until ten minutes, your husband has returned with a woman who is willing to donate blood for you."

The nurse's words left Mutia speechless. There was a warm feeling running through her heart, but Mutia was afraid to make a conclusion. He did not want to expect more, which would actually make him hurt.

"Madamma, the baby is full." the nurse looked at the baby Mutia who had distanced her face. "Do you want me to move it to the baby box?"

Mutia shook her head. "Let her be with me."

"alright. If you need anything, you can press a button on that wall." The nurse showed me the look she meant and got a nod from Mutia.

After the nurse's departure, Mutia was busy with her thoughts while gently patting her son's buttocks. Even due to being too focused on thinking, Mutia did not hear the sound of the door opening and realized the presence of Yudha who was already standing nearby.

"I bought toast."

Mutia gasped in shock and immediately turned her gaze to Yudha who was now putting a transparent white plastic on the nightstand.

"But you can eat it later. The doctor said you have to fast for the next six hours." continued Yudha.

Mutia nodded with a small smile, as Yudha placed her body in the available chair. "Bag,"

"Hm?"

"My baby... has it been adulterated?"

Yudha nodded. "I did it. Sorry, it's sassy."

"I just want to thank you." looked at her son, Mutia smiled bitterly. "If there's no Mas, I don't know who's going to prosecute my son."

Moving his hand, Yudha gently rubbed the head of the baby Mutia who looked so small. "Have you prepared a name for him?"

Mutia shook her head. "When I hold her, I think about whether or not I can give birth to her safely. And if not, who will take care of my baby."

"Astaghfirullah, Mutia. You shouldn't have thought that."

"Yes. But the feeling of fear, makes my brain always bring up bad thoughts."

"All right, it's okay. You have plenty of time to find the right name."

Momentary pause. The two focused on looking at the adorable little angel who was lying comfortably beside Mutia's body, until the voice of Mutia calling out to Yudha broke the silence between them.

"W-what... Mas Yudha mind giving a name to my son?"

The movement of Yudha's hand which gently patted the stomach of Mutia's baby stopped, while her black bead stared fixedly at Mutia.

"Why me?"

"Because Mas Yudha accompanied me during childbirth, the lazy Mas Yudha found a donor for me and also proclaimed an adhan for my son. So I thought, Mas deserves a name for my son. But. if Mas Yudha objected..."

"It is an honor for me to have been entrusted with giving this adorable baby a name." Yudha fondly rubbed the cheeks of baby Mutia using the back of the index finger. "Actually, when I first carried her, I had already thought of a suitable name for her."

"What?" Mutia looked enthusiastic, staring at Yudha with a sparkle.

With a big smile, Yudha answered. "Evano Yusuf Adibrata. Evano means the most beautiful gift of God. Adibrata means superior behavior. If spoken quickly, the name finally does sound like my name." with a clumsy smile Yudha rubbed her nape. "How's it?"

"I agree." Mutia nodded in spirit. "Then...the call? Evan?"

Yudha shook her head without removing the smile from her face. "Yusuf. May he be a body with all the good that the prophet Joseph has."

Closing her eyes, Mutia spoke with all her heart. "Amin ya robbal alamiin."
