To Mutia

To Mutia
You're like an animal

Two days passed quickly. In one blink of an eye, suddenly Mutia was again sitting opposite Haikal and Sonya. As if to re-create the incident two days ago, they were back in the same position and situation. Mutia sat on the long sofa staring at the nan while smiling bitterly at the two humans sitting opposite her. They clung to each other and linked hands, not caring about the feeling of Mutia being crushed like a tornado.

"It's been two days, Mutia." Haikal opened the conversation. Finally, he turned his gaze towards Mutia, after a few minutes had passed just nailing the attention to the woman beside him.

Any fool would know that Haikal was in love drunk. So obviously, Mutia was more than stupid, because for a year they were in contact, she did not suspect any awkward interaction between them.

Mutia smiled widely, looking fine, so contrasted with her undead appearance. His face was deathly pale, his body cold and dark circles adorned the bottom of his eyes.

"I agree you're married."

Haikal looked at Sonya. His lips were flashing with a big smile, even with the woman beside him. Then without hesitation Sonya leaned her head on Haikal's shoulders, when the man who was still Mutia's husband immediately landed a kiss of love on the top of Sonya's head.

Both of them did not care about Mutia whose face was now red, with teary eyes and a crumpled feeling. It was very curious that Mutia asked God to make her blind, so that she did not need to see her husband indulge in intimacy —dosa— with his cousin sister.

"But before that." Mutia's sentence hanging, successfully attracted the attention of two humans who were kasmaran in front of him at this time. "Perse me."

Haikal turned his back, as Sonya shook her head in panic.

"I won't divorce you." There's emphasis on every word Haikal says.

"While I do not want to be in honey." attack Mutia.

"Mutia, I'm sure this won't be difficult. I'm your cousin and our relationship is pretty close. Sharing a husband of course..."

"Even with my own cousin!" sela Mutia while throwing a cynical look at Sonya. "I doubt even if it's true that you've considered me family."

"Mutia, why are you talking like that? Of course I consider you my family and I love you very much." said Sonya.

"Then why did you stab me?!" mutia's black bead looked at Sonya with guts, as her clenched hand hit the handle of the chair repeatedly. Diverting his anger that was eager to hit Sonya's innocent face.

"Mutias! Don't raise your voice." said Haikal, but Mutia didn't care at all. The twenty-three-year-old woman still directed a gaze full of anger, disappointment and hatred at Sonya who claimed to love her so much.

"If what you say is true, you won't be able to destroy my household, Sonya."

Mutia's eyes had turned red and started to glaze over, but a few minutes passed, no clear liquid flowed out. As much as Mutia's energy held back her cries, not wanting to appear weak.

"I can't help my feelings, Mutia. If I can choose, I don't want to fall in love with your husband either. I'm..."

Mutia pointed her palm at Sonya, asking the woman to stop talking. "Don't make love an excuse to justify your actions. I will not forbid you from getting married, but before that Haikal must meet the conditions I have given. Divorce me."

"No! Once I said no, yes no, Mutia!" Haikal remained stubborn, infuriating Mutia.

"I am not Khadijah, who has a noble heart and is the best of heaven-dwelling women. Nor am I Fatimah Az-Zahra, who has a holy love in her silence. Only God knows how much Fatimah loved Ali. And I have no love that can shake the Throne of God. I am only Mutia, a man who has not escaped from wrong and sin. My heart is dirty, still harboring feelings of envy and spite. So, to avoid evil intentions from appearing in my heart, such as putting poison into your food and drink, then you better let me go."

Then what should he do? Still holding Mutia, the risk that she and Sonya and their baby will always be overshadowed by the fear that Mutia will actually realize her intentions. But if he let go of Mutia, then he would lose everything.

The father would remove him from the family card, take all the facilities he had, take him out of the office and maybe even back up his list so he could not work at any company. If it's like that, how does he support Sonya and their baby later.

I'm in big trouble, her mind. "I really can't let go of you, Mutia."

"Why?"

Haikal. His grip on Sonya tightened. Making Mutia suddenly let out a scornful laugh.

"Ah.. I know what the reason is." his eyes looked at Haikal with a mocking look. "Dad. Right?"

Haikal is still faithful in his silence. It tickled Mutia to laugh even more when she saw Haikal's eyes saying yes. So nice to see your helplessness, Haikal. Mutia cheered inwardly.

"I remember your father once said, if you hurt me just once, then you'll lose everything you have." Mutia smiled pongah. "You shouldn't be messing around, Haikal. And now... how? You want to keep what you already have or.. want to have what is new will be yours? All the conveniences your father gave you or... Sonya's? Tik.. tok.. tik."

Then Mutia blew her laughter. At the moment Mutia looked like she had lost her sanity. But what cares. makes Haikal in a conjured position, giving its own pleasure to Mutia. You think it's nice to be in the middle of a difficult choice, now feel it for yourself.

"You're threatening me, Mutia?!" hissed Haikal.

"Did you think I'd ask you not to marry Sonya and report to Dad, so you lost everything?" Mutia smiled mockingly while shaking dramatically. "Don't overestimate yourself, Haikal."

Mutia's words successfully hit Haikal's ego. The man's hands clenched, ready to smash into Mutia's face at any moment. Luckily Sonya held onto his hand, so that he did not lose control of the second as well.

"Rather than asking you not to marry Sonya, I'd rather get divorced from you. Because I no longer want to live with a man who can't even keep his speech and lust." Mutia's lips turned on her grin. In his heart he praised himself who could attack Haikal decisively. "You know? You're like an animal!"

"Mutia!" Haikal rose in anger, as Sonya covered her gaping mouth. Her cousin who never peels, now speaks rudely.

"You shouldn't have said that, Mutia." - Sonya rebuked after managing to dispel her shock. "Haikal is still the same..."

"Will soon be an ex-husband!" Mutia glared sharply, then turned her attention to Haikal who now stood looming before her. "You don't have to worry, I'll talk to Dad. So... There's no more reason for you to hold me back, right?"

Haikal took a deep breath. He snorted before making his voice. "OKAY. As you wish. I.. Mutia Haruka's. See you in court."

And just like two days ago, Haikal grabbed Sonya's hand, pulled the woman away leaving Mutia who was now leaning back, her face looking up, staring at the ceiling. But in contrast to before, where he felt so hurt, this time there was a bit of relief in his heart. A smile adorned Mutia's face.

"Thank you for giving me strength, Lord."
