To Mutia

To Mutia
My heart is my business

"Sit down, Jane."

The woman with the shoulder-cut hair also complied. With a fervent pull up the chair before Yudha and drop her ass there.

"Are you tired of working here, Jane?!" yudha said without aling-aling.

Jane gasped, looking at Yudha with anxious glare. His fingers were clinging to each other, as his head shook in panic. His fear grew when he heard the tone of Yudha's voice that was not as usual. This time it sounded cold and unfriendly, while its dark black bead displayed such intense anger.

"Javab, Jane! Don't you have a mouth to answer me, huh?!" hardik Yudha, made Jane scream in shock and closed her eyes for a moment to relieve the rhythm of her fast beating heart. "Or do you want me to sew your mouth together, so you can't talk anymore?"

Jane shook her head in panic, terrified. "I-I still want to work here, boss." shaking Jane wiped the cold sweat that ran from her temple.

"Then why are you doing this?"

"Shame what, boss?" Jane looked at Yudha with a confused look.

"No need to act, Jane. I already know what you're doing." rudely Yudha pointed the laptop screen at Jane, showing her the cctv footage she got from Dawn. One of his confidants, who a few days ago he asked to find out who was the perpetrator who had given Mutia laxatives.

Dawn just came out of his room after giving a cd piece containing cctv footage in the lobby, when Jane gives Mutia a black plastic bag and also the results of laboratory checks on the food that Mutia received from Jane. Fajar is suspicious of Jane's food, because after enjoying the snack, according to the information of the employee who lives with Mutia, the woman does not eat anything anymore.

"You gave Mutia a snack and it contained laxatives. What you're doing is really disappointing."

No words came out of Jane's mouth. The woman with shoulder-length hair lowered her head and a second later came a soft sobbing sound, as Jane's shoulders trembled faintly.

"Sorry, boss."

Jane's apology is justification for the accusations she's made. Yudha breathed a rough breath, leaned back and massaged the base of her nose as her dizziness whipped.

"Why, Jane?"

"I.." lifted up his face, Jane looked at Yudha with tears in her eyes, while her beads were shining in pain. "I.jealous. I don't like to see the boss's good treatment of Mutia."

"I treat all my employees well, including you. Or... This is just my feeling, while in reality you feel I'm not treating you well?"

"You treat me and all the employees here well" he replied softly. "But not with Mutia."

"What do you mean?"

"You looked at Mutia and looked at her, different from what you showed me. You looked at me, just like the way you looked at the others, but at Mutia it wasn't like that. All this time I didn't feel threatened, because there wasn't a single woman who could attract your attention, but after Mutia officially joined BM, I felt worried. I don't want you to feel attracted and end up falling in love with her, because it's so unfair. I loved you first, but you gave your heart to Mutia."

"My heart is my business, Jane. You have no right to interfere with whom I entrust my heart." sizzled Yudha with teeth. "Do you know what you did almost kill Mutia and the baby?"

"Kill?" Jane laughed at the sarcasm. "Cannot be. I'm mixing laxatives, not poison. I don't want to rot in prison anyway, even though my desire to kill Mutia is so great, because she has taken you away from me."

"Captured? You never even had me, Jane." Yudha gave a rough breath.

"Laxative medicine is not a deadly poison, but you gave it to a pregnant woman, Jane. Because of your actions Mutia had to go back and forth to the bathroom, until it ended up making him slip. She had bleeding, her condition was critical and her baby had to be released prematurely to save both. Have you lost your conscience, Jane? You nearly killed an innocent baby? You're a woman, just imagine if you were in Mutia's position at the time."

"Sorry." Jane looked down again, but Yudha had seen a guilty and sorry look in the woman's eye bead.

"I appreciate your regret, Jane. That's why I won't fire you disrespectfully, like I did before. You will still be part of Barata Mobilindo." Yudha's words made Jane look at him with an incredulous look and sparkling eyes. "But I'll transfer you to a branch office in Kalimantan. Under the leadership of Eros."

Hearing the name Eros mentioned, made Jane shudder. The man who is now thirty years old and holds a BM branch in Kalimantan has a bad temper. According to information from his colleagues in Kalimantan, Eros is a person who is tempramental, authoritarian and always gives high targets to his employees, so that makes his lackeys have to work crazy or in the end choose to resign because they feel they are not strong enough to accept inner pressure.

His handsome face, in fact, hides such a bad temper. The angel-faced devil, that is how his colleague in Borneo gave the nickname to Eros. The Kalimantan branch is a place of punishment, as most of its employees are those who have broken the rules.

"But, boss."

"Your choice is to give me a letter of resignation, which means you have to pay the penalty because you quit before the contract runs out, I'm either dishonorably fired or you're working for Eros. I've been good enough to you, Jane."

Is giving someone to the devil, can be called good?

...* * *...

Since Mutia's return from the hospital, Yudha regularly came to her house occupied by BM employees to meet with Yusuf. The arrival of Yudha is not certain, sometimes in the morning when going to work, during rest hours, hours of returning from work or at night like now.

"Where is Joseph?" yudha asked along with her foot that stepped in.

"Regulated, Mas."

"He's sleeping."

"When I left for the kitchen, he was still awake."

Yudha stared intently at Mutia. "And you left him alone? How about he fall out of bed, Mutia!"

Then Yudha galloped quickly towards the room that Mutia occupied. A sigh of relief came out from between his lips as he opened the door of the room and found Joseph fine. The adorable little baby was moving both of his little hands, as if he wanted to reach for the toy hanging over him, while letting out an indistinct mutter.

"I've blocked his left and right with a pillow, Mas. So Joseph won't fall."

Looking at the origin of the voice, Yudha found Mutia standing at the door. Staring at him with a terrified look, which made Yudha feel guilty for a few seconds ago having snapped at Mutia. But how else, when feeling worried, he is a little difficult to control emotions.

"But still, this is dangerous, Mutia." approached the bed, Yudha sat her body, then grabbed Joseph's left hand. Hold it softly and play it occasionally. "Tomorrow I'll buy a baby box for Joseph."

"I don't think that's necessary, Mom. Better Joseph stay one bed with me."

"Then let you take it down?"

"That's not going to happen, Mas." Mutia said.

"It could be, Mutia. You were unconscious because you fell asleep, then accidentally overstressed Joseph's little body." Yudha remained stubborn. "I'll buy a baby box for her tomorrow. I didn't want anything bad to happen to my son." Yudha focused on getting Joseph to play. Not caring about Mutia who stiffened from hearing her words.

This is not the first time Yudha calls Joseph her son, the man often calls himself Father while interacting with Joseph, but Mutia's reaction is still the same as before. Stiffened with heart hammering. There was a warm feeling running through his heart as well as a feeling of great fear. He was afraid to get carried away, until he ended up falling in love with his own boss.

Nah! No more. I no longer want to feel one-sided love. Inner Mutia shook her head repeatedly.

"What's up, Mutia?"

Stopping the movement of her head, Mutia directed her attention to Yudha only to find the man looking at her with a frown.

"Your head is dizzy?"

"No, Mas. I'm fine." then Mutia returned to the subject. "About the baby box, you don't have to buy it."

"Mutias..."

"I'll make sure Joseph's okay. But if anything happened while she slept in one bed with me, I would no longer forbid Mas Yudha to buy a baby box. How's it?" Mutia bit her lips. I hope Yudha agrees with her offer.

"All right."

Without being restrained Mutia sighed in relief, making Yudha who saw him chuckle amusedly.

"You look like you've just come out of danger" he said with witty eyes. "I just want to buy a baby box, Mutia, not give you a human body piece. Why are you so scared?"

How Mutia was not afraid, if almost every day Yudha always came with things for Joseph. Yesterday Yudha had just bought a stroller and forced Mutia to accept it or else the man would get angry.

The stroller is now in the corner of the room, joining the pile of toys — cars, ranging from manual to those using remote controls, as well as motors, planes, and so on, balls and so forth— that even Yusuf could not play. Various types of clothing, as well as toiletries. Mutia was tired of forbidding Yudha from buying such things, because Yudha only considered it a last wind.

"What do you want to eat? I will order dinner." said Yudha, making Mutia who had previously looked at the horror of the pile of goods in the corner of the room, immediately diverted attention to the twenty-seven-year-old man who still faithfully invited Joseph to interact.

"No need, Mas. I'm cooking dinner..." Mutia widened her eyes as she craved the scents of the scorch, as did Yudha who pursed her nose.

"O Allah, my fish." a second later Mutia walked quickly to the kitchen. Leaving behind Yudha who was crushed by her carelessness.
