To Mutia

To Mutia
Farewell Drama

"I'm sorry, Mut, I'm late."

"I'm understand. Now you're mak-mak, no longer a high school boy who can get out of the house easily." he said, not forgetting to smile when he saw how troublesome Arumi.

Being a mother of two children at a young age, must be quite difficult. But Mutia could see a twinkle of happiness in Arumi's honey chocolate bead, suggesting that she enjoyed the role of a young mother.

Unhypocritical, Mutia admits that she feels a little envious of the life that Arumi belongs to. She is loved by her husband and has two children who complement the happiness of their household. If God would grant her a wish, Mutia would also want to have a life like Arumi's.

"Are you sitting a auntie?" simultaneously Mutia pulled the chair beside her. Smiling warmly at the five-year-old girl who was still faithfully grasping Arumi's hand.

Jewels nodded. It was enough to know Mutia as a close friend of his mother, making Permata no longer feel awkward. He was silent as Mutia grabbed his small body and sat him on the chair.

"Thanks, Mut."

When she turned to Arumi, Mutia found that the young mother was already sitting in front of her while holding Karalo who was suddenly crying.

"Maybe Alo poop? Usually, small children are fussy when laper, poop or not feeling well."

Arumi checked the diapers her son was wearing, before sighing softly. "I have to go to the toilet to change diapers Alo. Can you please take care of Ata?"

Mutia's thumb held up a sign of agreement. Then as Arumi breezed away with a bag of Karalo equipment, Mutia directed attention to the little girl beside her. "What do you want to eat, baby?"

"Chicken lica-lica same milk shake oleo."

The age of the Gem is increasing, but the little girl still can not pronounce the letter R. But at least now the Gem can arrange sentences correctly, no longer upside down to confuse people who hear it.

"Chicken rica-rica same milkshake oreo?" rewrote Mutia, who immediately got an enthusiastic nod from Arumi's eldest son. He immediately called the waiter, then mentioned his order and the Jewel.

A few minutes later Arumi returned while holding Karalo who was no longer crying. The boy was even laughing while pulling his mother's curls.

"Aren't you carrying a stroller?" Mutia asked as Arumi sat back in front of her.

"No. Forgot." Arumi grin. "Have you eaten the food?"

Mutia nodded. Soon a waiter approaches their table with his order and the Jewels, while Arumi orders food for him.

"So..what do you want to talk about?" taking the bread box out of the bag, Arumi gave Karalo a piece of baby bread. "It must be important, right? Because usually you will say anything over the phone, not like today who insist on meeting."

Mutia smiled bitterly. "Haikal and I split up."

"Huh? Separate out?" arumi's attention was distracted when the waiter presented his order. Their conversation continued after the waiter breezed away. "You mean split up the house, because Haikal has a job out of town?"

"No. But we're divorced."

Arumi gaped for a moment, then looked at Mutia sharply. "Couldn't you? Hasn't your relationship been okay all along? And why did you just tell me?"

Sighing softly, looking so depressed, Mutia told her what she had experienced. Without subtracting or exaggerating the story to attract sympathy. He told stories purely just to share and relieve a little of his tight heart.

"These few weeks you've been preoccupied with preparing for Fio's seven-monthly event, I don't want to bother you."

"Oh Allah, Mutia. Why can you think like that? I won't be disturbed. Precisely now I feel guilty for not being able to accompany you through difficult times." Arumi's honey chocolate bead showed a sorry highlight, but a second later turned giddy.

"Basic men don't know themselves. He should be grateful to have you. As a wife, you did your job well, but she impregnated another woman, your cousin. May God avenge their deeds."

In her heart Mutia agreed to Arumi's prayer. He is not a holy-hearted angel, though seemingly accepting, in fact Mutia always cursed Haikal and Sonya whenever the opportunity arose.

"There is no need to feel guilty, Arumi, because I deliberately did not tell. And yes, I hope God will soon let them be happy in my suffering."

Arumi nodded in agreement. "Then what's your plan?"

"I want to say goodbye, because I've decided to move out of town."

Arumi shows a highlight of objection. "You want to stay away from Haikal? No need, Mut. He's the one who's guilty of you, he should be the one who's embarrassed and away from you."

"I don't intend to escape, Rum. I went to heal the wounds of the heart and open a new leaf. Who knows if my destiny is in another city."

"Is your decision final? Have you thought about it?"

Arumi tries to shake Mutia's choice, which gets a firm nod from her best friend. Arumi also breathed a rough breath. Kavira's gone, now Mutia wants to leave me. Having two friends, really, really, he lamented in his heart.

"So.. Which city do you choose?"

Mutia shrugged her shoulders. "I will follow wherever destiny takes me."

"After your poetic ass."

...* * *...

"Grandfather."

"Mobile?"

"Grandfather."

"Charge? Powerbank?"

"Grandfather." Mutia pointed out the two things Faisal had just asked about, then put them in a handbag.

"Ticket?"

"Guys. It's been ordered."

A heavy sigh came out from between Faisal's lips. "Wallets? Identity card?"

"Ah yes," patted his forehead, and Mutia came to the ornamental table. Retrieve the wallet stored in the drawer, then store it with the phone. "Thank you ingetin. Otherwise, until Palembang, we have to go back again."

"You don't have to go away."

Mutia stared at Faisal for a moment, but chose not to respond and returned to prepare the items she would bring.

"Yuk, can't Ayuk just cancel the intention of leaving this city?"

"Sal!" putting down the makeup bag that she just picked up, Mutia stared pushyly at her sister. "We've talked about this over and over again. I was even willing to forego my departure, for four days, just to wait for you to take a school break to get me to the airport. If you know this, mending from yesterday I just go."

"Sorry," was the response to Mutia's grumbling. "I just don't feel willing to let Ayuk go to another city, alone anyway." he sighed, making Mutia unbearable and he approached Faisal, hugging his sister. "It's all because of that brengs*k Haikal. If only he hadn't hurt Ayuk, Ayuk wouldn't have gone out of town and left me."

"There is no need to regret what happened. Maybe this is God's way of telling me that Haikal is not my soul mate and it's time I stopped fighting for him."

Faisal nodded in agreement. "You take good care of yourself, when you get there, call me immediately."

...* * *...

God's fate worked so uniquely and unexpectedly, as it did for Mutia. Intention to go to the city of Medan, Mutia actually landed at Ngurah Rai airport.

Back to the incident a few hours ago, when Mutia will show the e-ticket he ordered to the airport officer. At the officer's desk, he stood beside a young woman who was pleading to be given one ticket to Medan, while the ticket was up.

Mutia continued to observe, even until the woman dropped the body on the waiting chair while sobbing. Ignoring the officer who was calling her name, Mutia walked up to the young lady.

"Hi, I'm Mutia." with a smile Mutia reached out. Her smile grew wider as the woman welcomed her hand.

"Astari Keyla." let Mutia sit beside her, as she wiped away the tears.

"I heard that you asked the officer to give you one ticket to Medan. What was? You look panicked and rushed too."

"Both of my parents separated, so I decided to go to Palembang. I wanted to meet Mom in Bali, but I just got a call from Medan telling me that my dad is critical and wants to see me soon. I was afraid to be late to see him, so I quickly ordered an e-ticket, but it was over. So I decided to come to the airport and hope the officers here can help me, but they can't. Unless a passenger cancels a flight." Astari's tears break again. Imagining him late to see his father, frightened him.

Mutia who was by his parents' side when the angel picked him up, still felt a deep sadness, especially Astari if she did not have time to meet her father. After weighing up, Mutia also informed of the decision that she hoped could help Astari.

"I have an e-ticket flight to Medan. You can pick up the ticket after I cancel."

Isakkan Astari immediately stopped. Mutia looked at him with a surprised look and twinkle in both of her eyeballs.

"Are you serious? But this is the last flight to Medan for today. And also, if the refund with the time is close to the flight schedule like this, the money returned is only 10%."

"It's okay, I believe God will replace it many times. You need this ticket anyway. I can leave tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or a few more days."

"Thank you, Mutia, thank you." Astari hugged Mutia with gratitude and a sigh of relief. Then while breaking away, Astari pulled on Mutia's arm. "We'll meet with the clerk to cancel my ticket as well as your ticket, after which I'll book you a ticket. Do you want a flight to Bali or Bali? Because that's the only flight for today."

"No, Astari."

"Please, please take it. Or give me your account number, I'll transfer your ticket money."

After thinking, for some reason suddenly his heart wanted him to go to the city... "Room."
