The Train to The Dungeon
Chapter 35: Oracle Grass

I drove at high speed, using the ability of Shadow Move I managed to snatch a dagger attack on the two monsters. It took a little extra effort, but at least I managed to defeat both of them.

“His monster smoothing increased considerably compared to outside earlier,” my murmur. Indeed I managed to defeat Wicked Woody and Crawler Cutree, but it took more than three slashes to kill them. If I had not used Shadow Move, I would have been unable to approach the two without being hit by an attack.

“Management where is very important here, in the future I will need Shadow Move more often than this.”

Learning from experience, even though my mana bar has increased considerably, still the use of skills must be curled so that my mana does not leak. If it decreases drastically, the annoying Fatigue Level system message will appear.

As I expected, the attack from the two monsters was only an opening. Not long after, from the ceiling looks Crawlet Cutree popping. There were twenty more, they crept up, spreading out to each side of the wall, some descending through the pillars in the hall.

Then from the four doors in the hall, Wicked Woody came out in large numbers. Based on my Super Sense ability, there were about forty Wicked Woody who entered the hall. Their numbers were still growing, my ears and skin felt the tremors that were still left in the hall's doorways.

“Sial, a lot.”

I'm bracing myself. Both of my hands extended forward while raising the dagger. “I can't lose to them, this system won't test beyond the limits of my ability, right?’

It's just my assumptions. I don't know if this system cares if I'm capable or not, but I better not think that this system intends to side with me. Could be, this system deliberately gives a more difficult enemy indeed to test “worthy or not.”

Wait, my eyes caught something different from the crowd of Wicked Woody. There were five monsters wearing hoods and robes, his face looked like a tree with black cavities and glowing green eyes. Their hands were clutching wooden barrels at body height.

According to Clairvoyance, the monster is called the Wizard of Woods. His name is written in yellow. Even I was already overwhelmed by the two types of half-tree monsters, plus there was one more new type that joined.

The wooden monsters the witch cast a spell with a language I did not understand, instantly sprouting thick-leaved tree trunks. The leaves swirled in the air, then darted swiftly at me.

I avoided it as quickly as possible. The leaves not only stuck, but also destroyed the surface of the wall I was leaning on earlier. Terrible power.

While I was in the air, five Crawlers jumped at me, simultaneously.

“Shadow Move!”

I activated the skill. My body was lost in the darkness, but suddenly the five magicians created fireballs and lightning balls, all of them shooting at me with elemental attacks.

I'm tangled with dropping bodies down, but the Wicked Woody monster is already fighting me. They unsheathed the wooden swords that grew from their bodies. Although wooden, the sword had great destructive power, was sharp and very agile.

I was hit by several attacks and got quite fatal injuries. My HP bar was reduced by almost half, the impact of the attack was huge for my body. If I hadn't worn thick armor, I might have been sprawled dead.

I tried to run away from Crawler Cutree and Wicked Woody, occasionally, I changed my running pattern and jumped into the air avoiding the elemental attacks from the Wizard of Woods.

“I can't use Shadow Move because there's one of them that can detect me, it sucks!”

Looking for a slightly relieved position, I tried to scan all the monsters present in the hall. One of them—no, there might be another kind of monster in this room that is invisible.

Sure enough, my Clairvoyance caught a line of HP bars and a yellow name floating in the air, but its monster form was not entirely visible. In Clairvoyance's eyes, he was just like a faint thin line, resembling a faint hologram.

Oracle Grass named the monster. He seemed to be a debuff-type monster that could mess with other people's skills. I have to clean it up first.

“Shadow Move!”

I knew this skill would not have much effect, even if my body disappeared, the Oracle Grass could detect my whereabouts and tell all the tree monsters. However, I can still take advantage of the addition of the status attribute from Shadow Move.

My steps were more cept than before, my body managed to twitch from several attacks, followed by backlash from me. My two blades managed to kill some of the Wicked Woody who attacked earlier.

I jumped past them and arrived in front of the Oracle Grass. My two blades quickly slashed through the empty air in front. The blade split through something in the air, blue-colored blood spurted and the form of an Oracle Grass appeared instantly. He died not long after that.

“Successful,” my murmur in the stinged breath.

I can't be relieved yet. After the Oracle Grass died, Crawler Cutree came attacking from above, in front of me, attacking Wicked Woody. From the corners of the hall, the Wizard of Woods pelted me with sharp ice crystals.

I took a deep breath, draining all the power and energy in my legs and hands. My Super Sense is active in prime condition. Their entire movement and attack were well projected in the mind. I can read everything, now just move on instinct, faster and kill them in an instant.
