The Train to The Dungeon

The Train to The Dungeon
Chapter 21: Portal in the Garden

Along the way we met several groups of ordinary goblins as well as Goblin Paladins. I attacked first by moving forward quickly and slashing the necks of the goblins, while Chika cleared the goblins that were hiding or trying to escape.

Chika can balance my attack speed well. He jumped while doing acrobatic movements that ticked, his threads circling the goblins, entangling their bodies accompanied by a flow of electricity that killed instantly.

Finally, we arrived at Taman Puspa. The recreational park with a large field and playground was visibly guarded by several Goblin Champions. There were some white-haired goblins wearing earrings, long robes and carrying sticks. They were Goblin Shamans who could use magic abilities. Shaman Goblins are also included in Class B Monsters.

In the center of the vast field was a large circle with a blue bias that splashed energy in various directions.

“That's the portal,” point Chika. “But, a lot of guards.”

“I can fix them,” I said, calm down.

As I was about to step out of the residential alley, a sickle-shaped wind breathed towards me. Suddenly, I jumped backwards.

My head looked up, looking at someone wearing a Hunter Academy uniform. His body was short, his face was like a child. He jumped off the roof of the house and landed in front of me with an annoying look.

“Retreat civilians!” he nodded while shaking his hand.

“Hey, we Hunter!” sela Chika, annoyed. “Ravi, let us pass!”

“You know him?” I asked Chika.

“We are in class, class instead,” replied Chika while crossing her arms.

I turned to look at the boy named Ravi. He is obviously a few years younger than Chika. However, the fact that this boy had already attended Hunter Academy showed that he was not an indiscriminate Hunter. Curious, I scanned the boy.

[Name: Ravindra Gatari

Race: Human | Rank: A

Job: Marksman | Element: Wind

Path: Serenity

Alliance: The Hunter Academy]

His body was small and he was young, but he was an A rank Hunter. His ability can not be underestimated, but if you have to serve him, it could be Aunt Tara keburu hurt by the goddamn goblins. I need to find an opportunity to escape his surveillance.

“The Hunter Association forbids anyone from approaching the portal until the S Rank Hunter arrives. I just do my job here,” explained Ravi, firmly.

“What about the goblins' prisoners? They're gonna get hurt waiting for Hunter S rank to arrive!” chika exclaimed, no take.

“Detention? Don't fabricate! No such information!” rebut Ravi.

“Yes already, let us in then! I'll prove that they also kidnapped the citizens!”

“If I said no yes no! A rank B Hunter like you can only talk! You see that horde of Goblin Champions on the field?” Ravi pointed at the monsters with his thumb. “Before entering the portal, your body will already be dismembered by them!”

“Sok knows! If you have not tried where to conclude like that!” chika's eyes are already glazed. Clearly, he held back so that his emotions did not explode. His hands were clenched, wanting to punch the stingy-faced boy before him.

If you pay attention again, the look down on Ravi made me think of someone. Ah, true. The boy in the Re-Registration who said to me “sampah” is Ravi. I remember now and so I get upset.

“Bocah, move aside,” I finally got to talk. My tone of voice sounded intimidating and my eyes were staring at him sharply.

Ravi looked surprised from feeling the pressure of my strength. He was astonished and several times glanced at the rankless Hunter badge that was still embedded in my coat.

“I won't let anyone through!” ravi shouted, against the pressure from me. “If any civilians or Hunters are injured in this area, it's my responsibility!”

The stubborn boy. I don't think there's any way but to force my way in.

“Alright, if this is what you want,” I said before activating Shadow Move. My body disappeared swallowed by the shadow, in an instant I escaped Ravi's supervision.

“What are you doing? It's danger!” Ravi called out to warn. However, not only was Ravi shocked, Chika was just as panicked.

I can feel the presence of all the goblins in the field. My lips murmured to count all of them.

“Twelve Goblin Champions and three Goblin Shaman.”

The tring!

Kill Goblin Shaman (0/3)

Reward: ??? ]

I smiled faintly, welcoming the mission given by the system. Both of my hands are now grasping Grasscutter and Crimson Edge. I took a deep breath before activating the Shadow Move Skill.

As my body was engulfed by the shadows, my feet stepped closer to the crowd of Goblin Champions, undetected by them. In a flash, I jumped to the Goblin Champion who was the closest distance while knocking Grasscutter, cutting his throat until it broke. The head of the monster bounced and rolled on the grass, shocking the other goblins.

I could hear the goblins exclaim. One of the Shaman Goblins detected my presence with his magic and he ordered the other goblins to attack me.

A mace was swung at me, but I could avoid it by twitching to the side. I jumped on his shoulder and cut his neck off. As the attacks came from left and right, I advanced forward and aimed at the Goblin Champion who looked off guard. Crimson Edge punched him in the throat until he pierced his head.

Quickly, I moved to the back and cut the two necks of Goblin Champion, then darted forward again while dodging the barrage of Goblin Champion who was starting to roar.

I kicked the body of one of the Goblin Champions until it collapsed, then I hit his head. While jumping away from the sword attack of one of the goblins, I threw a kick and made him fall down. I threw Crimson Edge and instantly slashed his neck to the point of breaking.

It felt hot approaching, as soon as I turned around I saw some fireballs drifting towards me. Activating Shadow Move, I ran dodging all those magic attacks and arrived in front of the Goblin Shaman that attacked me earlier. My Grasscutter mutilated his body instantly.

This time the cold swirled around me. From the light blue circles in the sky darting sharp ice bunches, I dashed zig-zagging to avoid them. I found the Goblin Shaman who attacked me and directly threw Grasscutter in his face. The witch died instantly.

There was one Goblin Shaman who tried to annoy me with earth magic. I jumped backwards, pulled out Grasscutter and threw it in the face of the last Goblin Shaman. The witch fell with her head broken.

The remaining Goblin Champion ran over to my place. I ran in a low position, tucked between their legs, climbed over the shoulders and twisted the head of one of the goblins until it broke. The giant fell down and I looted his weapon. I put the mace with the chain into the face of the Goblin Champion on the left right who was trying to catch me.

The number of them is getting smaller, I immediately took Grasscutter who was near the corpse of the Goblin Shaman. While exerting the Shadow Move, I advanced towards them, snapped the Grasscutter blade and cut off the four remaining Goblin Champion bodies on that field.

Reward: Goblin Survival Kit, Status point +3 ]

Sticky and smelly goblin blood flooded the field, partially hitting my face and clothes. Drenched in blood, I picked up the Crimson Edge I had thrown at one of the goblins.

I could see the expression of Chika and Ravi gawking from a distance. Especially Ravi, his mouth gaping wide so surprised.

Chika immediately jumped down from the roof of the house and chased after me. The two of us were in front of the dungeon portal and preparing to enter.

“Arka, I don't know how you can be this strong, but I'm relieved, at least we can save Mama together,” said Chika.

“Ya, we'll bring her back.”

My feet stepped into the portal, followed by Chika. Our bodies were enveloped by the blue light and disappeared in an instant.
