Chapter 16: The Offer

Three days passed since I exited the dungeon at Block M Station while staring at the mobile phone screen, I let out a long sigh. Denis hasn't told me since we last met. I entrusted Dragon’s Breath to her for sale to Moon Orchid Guild clients. According to Denis, selling directly to clients can get a higher price than relying on sales through the Hunter Association.

Reading the Returning Clock description reminded me of the teleportation items to escape that are usually in online games. Maybe I need it someday, if the situation inside the dungeon worsens and I get squashed not being able to escape.

The level increase also allowed me to unlock one of the two locked features in the system menu. This new feature I opened is called Appearance. The screen in front of me contains a picture of the body with a standing pose. There are seven boxes, three of which are already filled. Each box is on the head, hands, chest, legs, and waist.

The box that has been filled is the chest, inside there is a picture of Nightshade’s Coat. Then in the hand part of the box filled with images Centripeda’s Gauntlet. If you see the similarity of this feature to the game, it looks like this Appearance is a place to install artifacts. If in the game, this artifact is an object that is used to improve the status of a player.

Not only that, this feature also gave me the option to activate or turn off the appearance of the artifact I was wearing. So, from the outside people won't see me wearing the artifact. Thankfully, that means that even if I wore the most striking large horned helmet, others would not be able to see it.

There were two boxes underneath, one was already filled with Grasscutter, it seemed like this was a column to lay down weapons. As I recall in Inventory, I got a new weapon.

In the Hunter Association's manual, a Tier 4 Dungeon had two colors, orange or red. Orange means that it can still be entered by Hunter Rank A. However, it is different from the portal in red. The red portal meant that the dungeon was only allowed to enter by an S-rank Hunter and above. That's why Tier 4 Dungeons are also often called S— Class Dungeons because most who are able to complete them are S Rank Hunters.

This red portal rarely appeared, but once it was discovered, then the Hunter Association would focus all their attention on the dungeon. Tier 4 Dungeons always had a top priority to complete, it was because the monsters residing within them possessed great power that could destroy an entire city easily.

My heart is pounding. It was never imagined that one day I would enter a Class S Dungeon. Whereas a few weeks ago, I was just a solicitor who could only follow the party into the dungeon.

Infinity Train enters the portal. Inside the long red tunnel I could see the electrical sparks generated by the portal energy. Even the conditions in the tunnel were gripping. The light was visible at the end of the tunnel, I looked up at the window, impatient to see what lay out there.
