The Train to The Dungeon

The Train to The Dungeon
Chapter 31: Dvintara Express Ticket

I've been conducting solo raids for four days. In total there are two dungeons that I have cleared, while the third one is doing it right now.

Today I am in charge of clearing a Tier 3 Dungeon. His were clearly much wider than a Tier 2 Dungeon. While Denis was collecting plants, I went to fight the boss.

The boss I faced this time was named Pangolin Rodder, a Class B monster. It reminds me of the Javan pangolin. If standing, this monster can reach 6 monsters in height. Although my level is higher than that of Pangolin Rodder, the outside of the monster's body is covered in thick scales that are very hard. My two scythes can't even penetrate it.

The only way to injure Pangolin Rodder is to stab the unprotected lower part of his body. However, this monster often rolled up its body and spun like a randomly moving ball.

I had to keep him quiet and open myself from that rolling position.

“Grim Domination,” I said, activate skill.

There was a strong vibration all around. As if being pulled by something powerful, the rolling Pangolin Rodder suddenly stretched his body. The huge body of the monster docked to the surface, its head bowed down and it trembled as it tried to resist the pressure from me.

Grim Domination was a skill to forcefully subdue an opponent. This ability only works to monsters whose level is equal to or lower than mine.

Seeing the position of Pangolin Rodder's body that opened, I immediately went forward to attack him. A long sabetan stretched across the monster's neck and stomach, almost cutting its body in half. Instantly, the HP bar of Poangolin Rodder shrank to the point of exhaustion. Simultaneously, he let out a voice like a squeak and then died.

[You get a chance to get a job. Accept it or Not?]

An offer to get a job? Even now my status is unclear between real Hunters or not. However, since there is already an offer like this it is better not to waste it. Maybe with this I can finally really become a Hunter.

“I received it.”

The tring!

[You have the opportunity to get a job]

[You obtained Item “Dvintara Express Ticket”]

[You obtained Item “Abandoned Temple’s Key]

Curious, I immediately opened the inventory to check the item. Apparently, in the upper left corner of the inventory there are items in the form of a multitrip card in green tosca and next to it an item in the form of a gold key with a liana-carved handle.

[Item: Dvintara Express Ticket

Item Class: S

Type: Card

A one-time trip round-trip card to the Sacred Jungle Dungeon]

[Item: Abandoned Temple’s Key

Item Class: S

Type: Keys

The key to opening the door in the ruins of the Sacred Jungle Dungeon temple]

The two items I just obtained turned out to be connected to each other. Fortunately, I don't need to look for the key anymore like Donerhaim Dungeon. However, looking at the class classification, whether this dungeon I will enter is also on the same level as Donerhaim Dungeon—Tier S.

If so, I should prepare myself as best I can and should not be rash. This system can't just be generous. To get Job ‘giveran’ like this, of course the system has prepared a challenge that is difficult to go through.

It sounds troublesome, but somehow my heart is pounding with spirit and can't wait to get into the dungeon. The stronger the enemy, the more I want to fight against him.

“Alright, now I report first to Denis.” My disconnect. I made sure once again that there was nothing left in the boss' nest. Not long after, I ran to where Denis was.

Once on the spot, Denis had also finished his task. He collected 100 species of Ravigia Gornigus plants. This plant looks like a pitcher, only it is almost a meter in size and it feeds on ant monsters inside the dungeon.

Denis came out of the puddle of water, his back was a large net in which there was a plant Ravigia Gornigus.

“Sini, let me bring you,” bargain me. Pity also saw Denis having trouble carrying such a plant. Moreover, the armor of his clothes with a tufted cloak is very inefficient to wear moving in the water.

“Hufh... thanks!” Denis immediately drowned as soon as he arrived at the wooden bridge that connects the two tunnels road.

I lifted the bulging net easily and attached it to my back. Denis who has seen my ability many times can only smile while lifting his thumb.

“Strong as always yes,” said the man while waking up.

“Denis, have you booked for the next dungeon?” ask me while walking towards the dungeon station.

“Not yet,” replied Denis. “Why? Want me to book now?”

“No. It's good if you haven't booked yet. I plan to take a week off.”

“That's how it is,” I answered accordingly while raising my shoulders. “I'll let you know that my business is done.”

“OK!” Denis gave his thumb again. “Thank you also for your help during these few days.”

I just smiled at Denis. Not long after, we reached the dungeon station and boarded the carriage. The train rolled out of the dungeon portal and arrived back at Jatinegara Station.

The next day, I told Aunt Tara that I was going to attend Porter's training for a week at the Hunter Association. Aunty Tara's condition has been very good, so it is not a problem to leave her in the hospital alone.

Aunt Tara doesn't know about my power development yet, she still sees me as a Rankless Hunter working as Porter. I also asked Chika not to tell Aunt Tara about this, fortunately Chika wanted to conspire with the charade I made. However, one day I want to tell Aunt Tara about this.

Not only Aunt Tara, one day people will finally know my strength. Until then, I have to make sure I am strong.

While waiting for an online taxi to come to pick me up, I double-checked my profile status.

Name: Arkana Ganendra | Level: 40

Race: Human | Job: -

Element: - | Path: -

Title: Goblin Slayer

Guild: - :

Pet: -

HP: 600 (+1050)

MP: 1150 (+500)

STR: 65 (+15) | INT: 55 (+50)

VIT: 50 | DRB: 50 (+45)

DXT: 61 (+50)

Status point: 64

“Hopefully this is enough,” my murmur. Even if my strength is still lacking, I can use status points to increase all the basic attributes and narrow the difference in strength.

Online taxis have finally arrived at the hospital's pick up area. I got into the car and the vehicle drove straight to Juanda Station.

Juanda Station looks as crowded as ever. I got off and went straight to the gate ticket that was dead and dusty because it was long unused. The Hunters generally enter through the two main doors and do not do the pawnshop at the gate ticket again. However, I remember that the items given by the system can still be used even though the gate ticket at the station is dead.

My hands operated the menu system and took out the Dvintara Express Ticket. It looks like most tap cards. It's just that the color is green tosca, the layer is thick like metal and there is a tree symbol with two circles behind it.

“This symbol seems familiar,” I observed the picture in the left corner of the card. “I'll think about this later.”

I placed the card on the scan machine, immediately a system notification appeared in front of my face.

[Player identified Arkana Ganendara]

[Infinity Train access granted. Please enter!]

My body passed through the gate ticket, and instantly I entered another dimension separate from the people out there. In that dimension, I was inside Juanda station alone. In some parts I can see reflections of people who are in the other dimension, like they are not aware of my presence.

Arriving on the platform, Infinity Train has arrived. I climbed into the second carriage and looked at the large glass window on the side. The train began to speed and into the red portal that appeared on the tracks.

The scenery around looked like a blend of red and black. There were strong electric sparks along the passageway I passed by. As soon as the train came out, I was immediately presented with a view of the vast rainforest.

Throughout the eye look there are only trees ranging from normal size to gigantis. The sky was bright blue with white clouds rolling around.

I got out of the carriage, got out of the station and immediately set foot on the grass pedestal that felt like a rug. The wind is cool and refreshing. If I didn't remember being inside the dungeon, I would have decided to camp.

“Oke, time to fight.”

I've prepared with both of my weapons in hand. After taking a few breaths, I walked out of the safe area and into the mouth of the forest.

There were sounds of unpretentious birds and forest insects. The thick trees create shadows on the forest floor.

Since the mission message from the system hasn't appeared yet, I don't know what to do. My Super Sense ability has also yet to detect the presence of monsters around. Is it because my distance is still too close to the Safe Area.

I remember, “Key given by the system specifically called Abandoned Temple, maybe my goal is an old building?”

Guessing, I jumped from one branch to another, trying to climb one of the gigantis-sized trees that might be up to twenty meters tall.

I arrived at the top of the highest peak of the tree. Relying on Super Sense ability, I sharpened my vision and started searching for something that looked like a building in the middle of a forest.

“Ah, that's it.” Mumbles.

In the West, there appears a temple-like building arranged with golden stone blocks. A large tree grows through the building, creating a magical impression that surrounds the region.

No other buildings are visible, I'm sure that place is my destination. My legs were firmly imprinted and my body was thrown downwards. I managed to land on the branches of the tree until it returned to the ground. My feet then stepped westward, towards the building.
