Chapter 32: 72 Hours

I'm slowing down the footsteps. My ears caught a buzzing sound that was getting clearer. A gust of wind that passed between the leaves carried a sweet and slightly sour aroma. My instincts ordered me to quickly dodge.

I started to get used to the pattern of his attacks, after tracing on one of the giant mushroom heads, I jumped forward to head off Hiveheart Buzz. While avoiding the puncture of both of his spear-shaped forelimbs, I launched a Grasscutter attack on the monster's body and cut it in half.

Hiveheart Buzz died instantly, his split body spitting out green blood.

I wondered why there had been no messages coming from the system. I don't know what mission to complete. All I'm doing right now is following assumptions and heading to the site of the temple building in the western part of the forest.

I opened the inventory and took the Energy Drink. After drinking one can of the item it felt like my body became fresher. Indeed no Level Fatigue warning had appeared, I just wanted to anticipate it earlier.

In the next area was a forest with normal-sized trees. The title was tight and felt a little wind blowing.

The trees around me look alien, maybe a different species than the ones in the human world. At first glance I thought they were like banyan trees. The diameter of the battanngya is large and many have vines roots, extending to the forest floor.

Some trees also have thick plank roots and spread to various places. I have to be careful not to stumble over those roots.

I slowed down, my Super Sense detected the presence of other creatures all around. I felt watched by a few pairs of eyes. The strong killing Eve felt out of the places where they were hiding.

These trees live far beyond what I imagined. They snared and made me unable to move. At the same time, Duskfang Pouncer's horde came charging towards me.

I had to stop them all and take advantage of the chance—as small as possible—-to break away from the entanglement of the tree roots.
