The Rose of De Haas

The Rose of De Haas
Chapter 56: The Fall of the Doctor's Heart

Oh, see? You called me by my first name! My God, am I still that beautiful that this young and handsome doctor wants to be my lover?" The rose is laughing.

Although Doctor Nathan sighed in frustration, but a charming smile then appeared on his face.

"Of course, you're still too beautiful to be considered a widow" replied Doctor Nathan as he led Rose's steps to follow her to a fresh flower-seller's Uncle.

"Uncle, which flower do you think is best suited to describe my wife's beauty?" dr. Nathan asked Uncle the florist.

The flower-seller's uncle smiled, then looked at Doctor Nathan and Rose in turn.

"Good, Master! Your wife is really as pretty as an angel until I am confused as to what flower she should describe, "say the Uncle as is.

The middle-aged man did not lie, only this time he met a European woman as beautiful as the Rose who was standing before him.

Rose bowed shy, he indeed often get praise and attention for his beauty since childhood but only this time he was praised blatantly like that with straightforward sentences.

"Here you? So stop being so humble" said Dr. Nathan, thrusting a beautiful red rose into the Rose.

"Your choice is very appropriate, sir. Red roses are indeed very beautiful so in accordance with the beauty of your wife," praise Uncle florist.

Doctor Nathan nodded in agreement, giving the money to Uncle the florist. "yes, it seems like my choice is never wrong thanks, Uncle."

Doctor Nathan again led the way, making Rose pinch the waist plan of the adam because of the regret of what happened a moment ago.

"What do you mean you call me a wife like that?" ask the Rose with a view as sharp as a sword blade.

Doctor Nathan sighed. "I'm just trying to protect you, aren't you aware of how people have looked at you since we came here?"

"Why indeed?" ask the Rose who is unaware of nothing.

"You attract too much attention to everyone because of your beauty. I'm just worried that someone will mean something to you" replied Dr. Nathan, voicing what had been going on in his mind.

People had been too intense looking at the Roses since, making Doctor Nathan feel an unusual feeling but it really made the man feel uncomfortable.

The rose looked straight at a pair of neutrals as calm as the rippling lake of Doctor Nathan. "since childhood I have been used to being looked at like that, so I felt there was nothing to worry about."

Doctor Nathan melengos, unable to linger with two beautiful eyeballs owned by the Rose. "ah, never mind, the Rose. I know what's in the minds of men like them. Let's go, we'll have to buy a lot of food."

The two agreed to end the insignificant debate and continued their journey around the market to find whatever food the Rose wanted to eat.

Unlike in big cities where Roses used to live, markets in villages tend to sell more food than ready-to-eat food.

Rarely are there traders who sell ready-to-eat food.

"So how? no one is selling finished food here" lamented Doctor Nathan.

"Yes, just buy what food you want to eat let me cook later," Rose said casually.

"Can you really cook?"

Doctor Nathan smiled full. "then you wait here for me to buy the groceries you have to serve me special."

......*****......

Transparent thin smoke appears to be billowing from the pot that is being stirred by the Rose since a while ago.

An appetizing aroma also spread throughout the house, making Doctor Nathan who had been sitting at the dinner table while holding Oliver up.

"Is this the aroma of cuisine from heaven?" doctor Nathan asked half-jokingly to make Rose laugh.

Yes, the woman actually had to cook at Doctor Nathan's house eventually as they planned while still in the market earlier.

"Food is ready, sir. Please sit down let me present to you," said the Rose mocking reply.

"Thank you, my wife, of course" seduced Doctor Nathan made the Rose laugh again.

"Stop that, Doctor Nathan. I felt very amused to hear it," commented Rose with the rest of her laughter.

"Yes, your husband never called you that way?"

The rose grabbed the bowl that Doctor Nathan had prepared on the table since. "you're wrong, my late husband was a very warm and romantic man even though he was a bit quiet."

Slowly and carefully, the rose fills the beautiful tulip-patterned porcelain bowl with chicken soup.

The delicious aroma of the taste buds the more sharply greet the sense of smell of Doctor Nathan makes the adam feel his stomach instantly becomes a rumble.

Doctor Nathan nodded. "heard you were so infatuated with him to this very second, it seems to be a fact."

"It looks like Oliver's sleepy, here let me suckle him to sleep. You can eat first" said Roses who realized the eyes of my son who was being carried by Doctor Nathan.

"You don't mind?" ask Doctor Nathan while giving Oliver to the Roses.

"No problem, you must be hungry. I'll breastfeed Oliver in your ward, excuse me," Roses said as he made his way to Doctor Nathan's check room.

Doctor Nathan looked at the hot chicken in front of him.

"What are you thinking, Nathan? Are you really going after a woman who's been married? Ah, you must be crazy" murmured Doctor Nathan while ruffling his own hair.

Marrying a woman who has been married is not wrong, but the negative stigma is so great against the action that makes Doctor Nathan so worried about his feelings for the Rose.

On the other hand, he was eager to be able to make Rose as Madame Nathan Otto Reins aka his wife but he was also made to worry by the negative stigma.

"Lord, am I really crazy? How could I want to marry a Dutch woman who has been married?" Doctor Nathan muttered once more as he grabbed his bowl of chicken soto, scooping the Rose slowly into his mouth.

After enjoying the delicious chicken soup Rose greeted his tongue, Doctor Nathan's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Oh my God, I pulled back my words just now. I'll chase that woman until I can no matter what anyone says!"
