The soft music that sounded so pampering to the ears this time still did not manage to calm the heart of Mrs Van Der Linen.
The beautiful woman seemed so devastated since the police stated that Cecilion van der Linen, the only son of his puppet was lost and until now there was no bright spot for the existence of the young man.
"My marriage is broken, and now I have to lose my son. Is this fair, God?" lamenting the Madam while linking her hands together in front of her chest, praying to the Creator.
It is unfortunate that his fate, even after the husband decided to prefer the bitch rather than maintaining a household that has been waded for a dozen years, the Madam again had to face this bitter and painful reality.
The quiet atmosphere of the church that day even further added to the sadness of Mrs Van Der Linen, until she decided to spill all the sadness that was suffering through crying.
The Lady's knees fell before the altar, praying with tears hoping that her son would always be in the Lord's protection no matter how far he went.
"Lord, I don't expect you to return my husband but please... Just give me back my son, the only one I have. Only to You can I ask, Lord..."
Pilu, that is felt by Andreas van Berg, the pianist who has since played songs so melodious with the piano located in the left corner of the church.
The reddish-brown man decided to stop his piano playing, then inching closer to the Madam slowly. Both beads of his eyes looked at the pity of the woman who looked so fragile as she stepped slowly.
"Why do you keep crying in church all day, Madam?" asked the pianist then gently from the back side of Mrs Van Der Linen's body.
"Oh, I'm sorry... You must be feeling disturbed by my cries," replied Madam Van Der Linen as she hurriedly wiped away her tear marks with the tip of her expensive yet beautiful sleeve.
That pretty face looks age-indulgent, and although almost all the skin of his face reddened by crying too much, Mrs Van Der Linen was still very charming, making Andreas van Berg stunned for a moment when their eyes met.
Andreas quickly shook his head.
"I am not disturbed, but I feel sorry for what is happening to you" Andreas said honestly.
"I shouldn't have prayed so hard as I did, my God, please forgive me" Mrs Van Der Linen felt uneasy.
The two decided to sit on one of the pews, intending to share the story after the Madam agreed.
"So, my husband chose to leave me after a long affair with a comfort woman. All this time I have always survived for the sake of our son, but the marriage is still untenable." said Mrs Van Der Linen lethargic.
Things like this are not new to Andreas, he has often heard similar cases among elite business people or government officials.
The richer a master is, the more mistresses they have.
"Your husband is so outrageous, he shouldn't leave a precious wife like you" Andreas said.
"I've let the bitch take my husband, but now I'm faced with a bitter reality."
"Is it about your son?"
...****************...
"When should I wait?!" mr. De Haas asked wrathfully to his men who had just come to give a report regarding their search mission.
"I'm sorry, sir. We have thoroughly searched every corner of Batavia but still we have not found any trace of the truth Miss De Haas" said the chairman.
"Basic stupid! Quickly expand the search and give me a report immediately!" shouted the Master once more, making those who had been approaching the Master hurriedly take a thousand steps.
Mr. De Haas now seems so terrible that it is inversely proportional to his normal attitude which is so calm, making people reluctant to deal with him. The man's emotions have been explosive every day since the Rose De Haas fled after refusing an arranged marriage with William van de Beek.
"Take it easy, my husband." said Mrs De Haas, offering a warm cup of coffee to her husband.
"I can no longer think clearly about losing our son, my wife..."
"Right now we can only pray, my husband. No one knows where the Rose is now but God so I beg you to be patient and continue to pray that the child will be fine" Mrs De Haas said with my eyes.
Although he actually felt very hit by the decision of the Rose due to his mistake, but Mrs De Haas still chose to be firm and surrender to God.
Not broken, Mrs De Haas continues to pray for the Rose so that the only princess of his puppet is always in the protection of God.
The twilight vestibule in the sky that began to show a golden orange attracted the attention of the Madam, making her remember one day in the Rose's childhood.
The child who used to be very carefree and can not be silent is now growing up without feeling.
"Looking at the beautiful sky, I remembered when the Rose was very small. Didn't you ever ask what Rose wanted to do?" mrs De Haas asked with a faint smile, recalling the happy time.
Mr. De Haas lowered his head.
"You're right, I used to ask a lot of questions about the boy's dream, but without me realizing he couldn't do any of his dreams because of my selfishness as a father."
Mrs De Haas has only recently been able to see the deep regret of her husband's two beautiful blue beads.
He did not expect at all that the great step taken by the Rose could have an effect of this magnitude on the attitude of Mr. De Haas who was famous for being so cold and stiff.
"Repent and blaming circumstances will not bring the Rose back, my husband. We must continue to strive and pray patiently" said Madam De Haas gently, grabbing the back of her husband's hand while giving her a delicate caress.
"I will try to be more patient, may the Lord be willing to listen to our prayers" replied Mr. De Haas lethargic.
"Yes, you have to do it for the sake of our son. Then drink the coffee before it gets cold" said Mrs De Haas, adding sugar to the hot coffee she had served on their porch table.
"De Haas' rose sooner or later Papa hopes you'll come home, son."
