Part 78 - Erick's Coming

Aaron shook his head, "This is impossible, Emma? There was no way a woman like her could do that! What's the reason anyway? She got affection from grandma and was well received in our family, where maybe she acted stupid!"

"Aaron's right, I know Emma well enough and I'm sure she won't do that. Emma never even wanted to get involved in her father's dark business, how could she have planned the murder? Emma has no reason to do it."

"Me" Nathan murmured, which Aaron and Atvita could still hear.

"What do you mean Nathan?"

"I'm the reason Emma did that crazy thing, she killed Grandma just to frame Davira."

Aaron frowned at hearing that, he still felt unable to believe it. He never thought that Emma's name would be mentioned by Dario.

"You trust him Nathan? What if he's just lying to us?" atvita asked Nathan to think hard.

"I'm not lying! I kept a copy of the cctv tape before I handed it to Emma Scott, all this time I kept it just in case the Xie family would someday find my whereabouts. I keep it so that I am not accused of being the only guilty person, I am not the real culprit!"

"Where's the tape?"

While enduring the pain in his face, Dario reached into something in his pants pocket and handed the small object to Nathan.

"The tape is in it, you can see clearly how Emma Scott does all that."

Nathan gripped the pendrive tightly in his hand then stuffed it into the pocket of his jeans.

"This guy is telling the truth, I don't see any lies" Nathan said.

"Then what are we gonna do about him? Anyway he's involved."

"And he's innocent anyway, Aaron. Again, I remind you both that he is a victim. He didn't kill and he's already told us very important information."

Nathan let out a long sigh, "Well, the information that got us all in trouble."

Nathan stared flatly at Dario who was still lying on the ground, the three of them stared at each other with a sense of confusion that enveloped the three.

"It's best to keep him alive" Atvita said.

"What should we do? Emma.....do we have to tell this to Xie's extended family and show them the evidence of this tape?" nathan asked with worry in his heart.

"Of course, Nathan. If you don't want Davira to continue to be accused and hunted down, we have to tell this to the rest of the family. We'll have a meeting after this."

"I think it's going to be very difficult, if someone else kills Grandma, then we can take revenge right away. But this is Emma Scott, what can we do to her? She's Arthur's favorite daughter, you know that Arthur won't let his only daughter get hurt."

"Our family can overcome this problem, slaughter one family or group, we can do it. Emma had to pay with her own blood for Grandma's death. I can't let her live a quiet life after what she did, just because she wanted to get Davira out of Nathan's life, grandma was the victim. What he did was crazy."

Atvita looked at Nathan who was just silent in his place.

"What about you, Nathan? If we give this information to all members of the Xie family, there will be an all-out massacre, attacking and killing each other, no matter who will win. And the problem is that our opponent this time is not our enemy from the beginning, can you see Emma die at the hands of our family members? We all know that Emma donated her kidney to you, are you gonna hide all this from our family or expose it to protect Davira?"

Nathan stared into Atvita's face, what his cousin was questioning was what he had in mind right now.

"You have only two choices Nathan has, put Davira in danger for the rest of her life, keep hiding like she's the real culprit, or let Emma go? It's not an easy choice, so I hope you get the answer right after we land in Rome."

Aaron cleared his throat briefly, "There is no choice for Nathan, this information I will still give to our family. Be thankful that Davira is not the real culprit, Nathan. She's safe after this and for Emma, if you don't have the heart, then you just have to shut up without doing anything. You'll soon get the news of his death with his father who can be sure will defend him greatly."

"Aaron," Atvita said, The woman knows very well how Nathan is feeling right now.

Aaron only glanced at him at a glance then looked at Dario who did not dare to move from his place.

"He can stay alive" said Aaron and then put his foot first around the simple house.

"Erick," Aaron sizzled with a puzzled look.

Without a warning Erick directly stuck a syringe on Aaron's shoulder making the man's eyes widen.

"Araghh! What are you doing fucking!"

Bugh.

Aaron immediately raised his fist against Erick's face and kicked him with a syringe still stuck on his shoulder.

Hearing Aaron's screaming voice made Nathan and Emma hurriedly run to check on him, as did Dario who was curious, the man immediately peeked out from behind the wall.

"You're involved Erick?" nathan asked while running and ready to kick Erick's face which is currently looking down on Aaron who has started to look good.

Aaron was still trying to fight back, but his head felt spinning and his gaze started to blur.

"Do it!" erick shouted making his men immediately fire something towards Nathan and also Atvita who was ready to attack.

"Akhh..shit," Nathan said as a bullet was stuck in his right chest.

"Run Atvita!" nathan shouted and jumped and kicked Erick's chest to get away from Aaron's body.

"Go after the woman and find Dario Steffano! He must still be around here!" yelling Erick as he got up and floated a raw bogeman in Nathan's face to make Nathan immediately fall to the ground.

"Akhh release!" Atvita who almost fell down was immediately arrested by some of Erick's men.

Nathan shook his head as he blinked his eyes several times, trying to maintain his consciousness.

Erick immediately crouched down, he patted Nathan on the cheek then smiled obliquely.

"I'm sure you already know everything from that fucking security, you can't blame Emma, Nathan. It's not Emma's fault, it's yours. You're the one who made him act recklessly, you never appreciated what he'd done for you. So he has gone so far. And I'm here to take care of all the problems, only I'll always be there for Emma. I won't let him be your family's target."

Nathan looked at Erick with his consciousness gradually disappearing, he could not even say anything more.

After seeing Nathan lose consciousness, Erick stood up again and smiled faintly at Dario who was now being dragged by some of his men.

"Arghh release!"

Dario was forced to crouch down before Erick with both hands held to make him unable to resist.

Erick looked at him with anger, the man pulled Dario's hair making his head look up at him.

"Emma's too good, if I were him, I would've killed you when you handed me the cctv footage. But unfortunately Emma let you live and made the matter complicated."

Dario's body began to tremble looking at Erick's cold gaze which was so intimidating.

"Arghh."

Erick chuckled at her, "So did I."

Erick pulled out his gun and pointed it at Dario's head, causing Dario's eyes to heat up.

Dario shook his head and looked at Erick expectantly, hoping that the man in front of him still had a heart and pity for him. But the smile Erick showed made him lose hope.

"There's nothing I have to tell you, we won't have any more business."
