Part 51 - Bets

Emma squeezed the pillow she was currently holding onto as Nathan rushed off to leave her after getting a call from Paul.

Nathan didn't even say goodbye to him first, the man didn't tell him the reason why he had to leave so hurriedly. But Emma is convinced that the information provided by Paul has something to do with Davira.

Emma hears clearly that Nathan told Paul to get a private jet ready.

"Is Davira's whereabouts known?" mumbling Emma felt anxious.

Emma shook her head slowly, she didn't want to until Nathan found Davira. Nathan can't get back together with Davira, Nathan can only be with him.

Emma immediately picks up her phone on the table then calls someone she might be able to work with, more precisely Emma will give the person some help.

The first call just passed, no answer making Emma exhale rough. Emma had no intention of making a second call, but had just wanted to put her phone back on the table, the flat object vibrated making Emma smile thinly at the name listed.

"What's wrong? I can't look at you."

Emma suddenly pulled her phone away from her ear and stared at it with a shrunken forehead.

"I haven't even spoken, Aaron. I didn't ask you to come see me" Emma said in a crisp tone.

"Then? Tell me quickly, I'm very busy."

Emma rolled her eyeballs, "It's about Davira, it looks like Nathan found her whereabouts."

"Are you sure?"

"So Nathan went to the hospital to see me, but suddenly Paul called and after that Nathan hurriedly left. He also told Paul to prepare a private jet as well as bodyguards, I'm sure this has something to do with Davira. He's gonna want to see Davira, so you better find out where Nathan's going so you know where Davira is right now."

The sound of a small ruckus from across the street made Emma even more upset.

"Aaron, there's nothing funny here. I'm telling you important information but you're laughing?"

"You're funny, dear Emma, it looks like you're blind jealous right now. You want me to find Davira first, don't you? You don't want Nathan to come back with her."

"Then why? I didn't want Nathan to get back together with Davira, so find Davira before Nathan finds her. You're not just gonna let go of Grandma Gayatri's killer, are you?"

"Without you telling me to move, Emma. I'll find Davira before Nathan, thanks for the information."

Immediately interrupted by Aaron, Emma let out a long sigh and put her phone on the table. He stared at the box containing strawberries that Nathan had not had time to wash.

His sense of regret grew, Nathan should be with him today. But because of Davira, the man became to have to leave her, again and again.

"Emma," the voice of a man she once knew was now heard making Emma suddenly lift her head that had been bowed.

The corner of Emma's lips was suddenly pulled to the side to see the arrival of Erick, the man was seen carrying a bouquet of large white roses that were certainly so beautiful.

"Finally you want surgery, why not first? Though getting a donor is not difficult," Erick immediately approached her and hugged her body.

"You know what my reason is" said Emma, then welcomed a bouquet of flowers given by Erick.

"A very silly excuse, just to get Nathan's attention you were willing to wash your blood every month for years" Erick ruffled Emma's hair and sat on the edge of the bed.

Erick smiled faintly at the beautiful face of Emma who was so innocent without the slightest makeup.

"Don't talk about it, Erick," Emma looked at him dislikefully.

Emma is embarrassed that Erick knows so much about her, Erick even knows why he never received a kidney donor offered by his father or by the man. Emma does all that to keep Nathan's attention and sympathy, if Nathan sees him in pain every month, then Nathan will continue to remember his sacrifice.

But Emma was tired, in fact all that still could not make her get love from Nathan. Just a little attention he got, and affection as a best friend that Emma never wanted.

Now that Emma thinks that she has to completely recover and do another way to get Nathan's heart, she's fed up with the old ways. Nathan's pity is no longer needed this time.

"Now that I feel relieved, you will no longer feel pain," Erick looked at Emma fixedly with a feeling that was now unfounded.

"Thank you for visiting me, Erick. Thanks also for the flowers," Emma smiled as she hugged the bouquet.

"I'm sorry that I didn't accompany you during the operation, where is your father right now?"

"As usual, she did her dirty work, '" Emma replied making Erick chuckle a little.

But just for a moment, that face instantly turned flat. Erick grabbing Emma's hand made the master feel confused by Erick's eyes looking as if he was trying to learn something from her.

"W-What's wrong Erick?" emma began to feel uncomfortable.

Erick let out a long sigh and shifted his seat to get closer.

"Why do you have to do that, Emma? Why do you always do stupid things just for Nathan?"

Deg.

Emma's heart stopped beating for a few seconds.

"What do you mean?"

"I know everything, why do it, Emma? You'll be in danger, it's like a time bomb. Just need to wait for time to explode, whether we never know," Erick said in a quiet voice.

Emma immediately put one hand on the hand of Erick who was still holding it. His face already looked deathly pale, he looked at Erick with a feeling so panicked.

"Erick, b-how did you know?"

Erick raised Emma's hand in his hand and kissed her slowly.

"Just calm down, Emma. I'll protect you, no one will know."

Emma suddenly pulled her hand violently, looking at Erick with a pounding heart.

"How did you know that?!" his voice began to sound high.

Emma's breath hunts down, "Call that guy! Kill him if you want to protect me Erick! He must have left a trail, you know it all. There's no way Nathan will find out!"

Emma looked so scared, her hands even to the point of trembling made Erick immediately grab her.

"Emma you need to calm down, I told you I'd protect you."

"I don't need protection from you, how do you know Erick?!" emma shouted, her eyes starting to look red.

"Araghhh! Nathan would've known it too!"

"Emma, you have to trust me. I'll take care of this for you. You're not supposed to do something like that, you're totally crazy, Emma. You're endangering your own life."

"Silence Erick! I don't want to hear it!"

Emma's chest was seen going up and down, she was staring at her hand that was held tightly by Erick at this moment.

"Kill him if you want to protect me, Erick. Can you do it?"

Jakob immediately applauded when he saw Davira's driving ability which had been greatly improved than before, the woman was very brave and quick to learn.

"How's it?" davira asked with a bright smile on her face.

"It's still far below me" said Mario casually as he pinched Davira's chin.

Davira is upset, just wanted to curse, Luca did it first.

"Don't touch him fucking," said Luca then chuckled lightly at Davira's irritated look on his face.

Sometimes Davira looks like an innocent woman without sin, Davira can look like an adorable little boy making her forget that Davira is in the same environment as all of them.

In a sense, Davira is not an innocent woman. Davira is also dirty like them, money, clothes and everything they get from the wrong way.

"Your ability has greatly improved, it seems you can match Dex," said Liam made Dex who had been busy smoking before staring at him unacceptable.

"Why is your face like that? Underestimated me?" ask Davira to hold her chest.

"Not to underestimate, Miss. But you won't be able to beat me."

Fedrix immediately cheered, embracing Davira with her mouth still chewing gum.

"You don't want to race?" Fedrix looked at the two in turn.

Davira smiled in a slant and then put away Fedrix's hand that was embracing her shoulder.

"Racing? With Davira?"

"Why? You scared of Dex?" Davira looked at him as if he was challenging.

"I'll bet on this race" Jakob took the money out of his jacket pocket and made Liam do the same.

"Me too, how's Dex?" Liam gave a small smile looking at Dex's eyes which instantly sparkled at the money.

"I want to race like that! Come on Dex, we have to race. They have already put a lot of money!" davira exclaimed with excitement.

Dex immediately nodded his head, "I won't budge, Miss."

Davira looked at him flatly, "I didn't tell you to budge."

"This wohoo will be so much fun!" Mario immediately sat on the hood of his car with a beer already in his hands.

Davira and Dex immediately got into their car, then took up positions. The large road looked so deserted without any other riders passing through it. Davira looked at Dex with a slanted smile on his face then immediately started his car engine.

"You guys ready?!" asked Fedrix who immediately got a nod of the head from the two.

Jakob chuckles at the amount of money he currently holds for the prize for the winner in this sudden race.

"Lets do it!"

The car driven by Davira and Dex drove so fast.

"You gotta win baby!" fedrix shouted encouragingly.

"Arghh she's a crazy girl" murmured Liam.

"Who will win?" luca asked, making Mario stand up.

"Of course Dex," he answered so confidently, because Dex is very good at driving.

Jakob clucked, "You doubt Davira."

"No doubt, sir. I admit Davira is great, but it's impossible that he could just beat Dex."

"I'm sure Davira will win, the girl is full of surprises" Luca said, lighting a cigarette that had been tucked between her lips.

Liam just smiled a little and then pulled out his vibrating phone, he immediately shifted the green button on the screen to connect the call.

"What's wrong?" liam asked a little bit away.

Liam was stunned to hear what one of their men said from across the street.

"Are you serious? Is he really here?"

"Not arrived yet, but will. Maybe tomorrow."

"Alright, I'll tell Jakob this, keep giving information," Liam immediately disconnected his phone and then approached Jakob.

"Why?" jakob asked, looking at the look on Liam's face that was not as relaxed as before he received a phone call.

"It's crazy! How can!"

Liam who just wanted to answer immediately looked at Davira's car that arrived before Dex's car, even Davira's car almost hit Fedrix's body.

"Be careful Miss! Don't take revenge this way!" Fedrix quickly stepped aside.

Davira laughs with satisfaction and gets out of his car as well as Dex. Jakob smiled faintly then immediately walked up to him.

"This girl is really beyond belief" Jakob immediately gave a short hug.

"My money," Davira glanced at Dex with a triumphant smile.

"I thought you were an amateur, Miss," Dex stared at him in disbelief.

"Don't get me wrong, Dex. Amateurs can also win," Davira instantly accepts the money given by Jakob.

"You have to buy us Davira tonight, I want pizza!" exciting Mario.

"Don't Davira, he doesn't even support you" Fedrix said, causing Mario to stare at him.

"Mario doesn't even believe that you're going to win" this time Luca added.

"You really broke my heart, Mario," Davira shook her head and laughed.

"Jakob, it looks like we have to go to the club" Davira said, sipping on the smell of money.

"I agree! It's been a long time since we've had fun" Fedrix said, then doing high five with Davira.

"I heard that Moscow girls are very sexy" said Mario.

"Am I being invited by Davira?" dex's question made Davira laugh.

"You can come along but pay with your own money, you're richer than I am" Davira replied and looked back at Jakob.

"Can I?" tanyanya expectantly.

"Just calm down, sir. We will take good care of Davira" Luca said, making Davira smile.

"Have you all forgotten? Tonight you guys have a job," Jakob looked at them all with a flat gaze.

"We didn't forget, didn't you make an appointment at four in the morning? While we will go to the club at eleven o'clock tonight, at the latest we are back at three" said Davira who immediately got a nod from Fedrix.

"Please allow us, we have a lot of money if it cannot be used for fun. After all this is Moscow, the club here is the best!"

Jakob exhaled violently and then nodded his head.

"Don't get you drunk while carrying my stuff."

Davira immediately smiled broadly listening to him, he suddenly jumped in joy so happy.

"Let's party!"

They all looked so happy, making Jakob chuckle at her. But Liam who was just silent made him confused, Jakob immediately stepped his feet to the side of the car to get a little away from Davira and the others.

Liam who understood immediately approached him, he looked at Davira and his friends who were laughing loosely.

"Is there a problem?"

"You haven't forgotten where you got Davira from, have you?"

"Of course I didn't forget, why?"

Liam exhaled his coarse cigarette smoke and then just threw it away.

"Nathan knows where we are, our people call and tell him that Nathan will be here tomorrow."

Jakob cleared his throat briefly hearing it, he was already not surprised. He knew that Nathan would definitely find them sooner or later.

"We can't stay here if we don't want to get caught, we have to leave immediately."

"No way, I made an appointment with a client. He ordered a lot of drugs, it's like a mine of money for me."

"Then? Nathan's gonna kill us, Jakob."

"It won't be because we'll leave after your assignment is done, it's our last job in Moscow. After this we will move again, so do everything quickly. I want the transaction to be completed in just two hours, our departure will be ready at six in the morning."

"Are you going to let them go to the club? Why not use that time to deliver things? Get your clients to advance transaction hours," suggested Liam hesitant to complete the task in just 2 hours.

"Can't, it's not that easy to rearrange an appointment. You're gonna go have fun tonight, then take the drugs and get my money safely. Remember, you've only got two hours."

Lian let out a long breath and nodded her head.

"Should I tell them?"

"Of course, let them know that our time is limited. They also have to make themselves satisfied tonight, because this is our last night in Moscow."

"Davira, she should be told too?"

Jakob immediately shook his head, "Unless he is, Davira does not need to know that Nathan already knows his whereabouts here. I don't want him to be unfocused at work, I'll tell him when we're leaving."

Jakob looks at Davira who is now seen sitting on the hood of his car with Luca while enjoying a cigarette each.

Davira is seen laughing and seems happy, although Jakob knows that sometimes Davira cries when alone or at night before falling asleep.

"I won't let Davira fall into the monster's hands again, Nathan has ruined Davira's life. And I don't want Davira to be tormented when she gets back together with her."

Liam patted his shoulder softly, "We have to keep him from Nathan, we all have just been close friends with him, working together, but I feel that keeping him is our duty at the moment. I don't want him back trapped by Nathan. Look, the girl has a free soul, how can Nathan make her a prisoner?"

While Davira is now stunned in his place to see how Liam and Jakob are currently looking at him with a view that is so difficult for him to understand.

"Be careful, they could have bet to get you" Luca whispered then laughed.

Davira just looked at him sharply and rubbed the necklace around his neck, all of a sudden Nathan appeared in his mind just like that. And it instantly made the smile that had been engraved on her beautiful face instantly fade away instantly.
